From what I remember during my school days, Singasari was already gone when Kubilai Khan expedition arrived, this very expedition was meant to destroy Singasari and kill Kertanegara, the last King of Singasari, as a revenge for blinding and cutting the ear of Kubilai's messenger. However in the meantime before the expedition arrived, Jayakatwang revolted against Singasari and successfully destroyed the kingdom and kill Kertanegara. So I kinda confused when Singasari still existed and even opposed against Raden Wijaya as a royal family when majority of his men was also Singasari's soldier. But I guess it is AoE, can't make interesting campaign with only Kediri and Mongols

Rajas campaign great, it is the best campaign. it has the fun of african campaign and less difficult than the forgotten but still chalenging somewhat. I hope you will enjoy ;).
How could I know now!? These are legendary story from my country Indonesia Gajah Mada is the Most Notable person from our countries and he's willing to conquer all Malay/Indonesian Archipelago (Nusantara) under his knees Raden Wijaya is Gajah Mada King and very loyal king, I also hear Mongols led Genghis Khan trying to take over Nusantara but, sadly failed (now I knew it was Gajah Mada who repelled them)
About what to do after the campaigns, why not do some custom ones from the workshop? Campaigns like Gwyndlegard, Rockspring revolution or on AoKheaven Ulio (and many more) are better than any official one.
That map is beautiful man, I like the design. I don't know why but I thought was Arnold Schwarzenegger who was reading the prelude... Lol just like Conan ...
Hey Viper, how about after you finish with the current run, you should play through everything again but speed run it! i have watched every aoe2 campaign video you have made, i love the series and would like to see a revisit of the old stuff with the knowledge you have gained playing the campaigns so much. hopefully this time you wont lose as many heroes ;)
at 32:00, you seem to seelct 4 villagers, en then from those 4 in the bottom menu you look like you are selecting villagers from there and then give each a different task. How do you do this hotkey wise?
devidia when you use "control" you deselect a unit the opposite happens when use "shift" where you select to add... So he use 4 bill to build workshop, deselect 2, send to stable, deselect 1 and send to another stable. Very useful to convert with monks a large group.
Why these new campaigns don't have the same sound refinement of the original campaigns? I mean, they had music and sound effects to convey a sense of imersion in the story; the campaigns of the Forgotten were mute and these new one only have people reading the campaign scripts, they don't feel at all in the same level of the William Wallace or Montezuma.
Malay/Indonesian pronunciation is easy, just say everything as it is since there's almost no such thing as "the X is silent" etc. Anyway love your AOE vids.
Dear Biper. I have some recommendations for next map. (Don't worry i ain't gonna spoil anything) 1) Exploring and scouting is key...... 2) You are on a clock but that clock isn't exact. Be quick and be fast. Also remember AI is NOT a human. Including allied ones. 3) If you fail at first try its ok. We love you and to be honest we have fun when you lose in a funny way. I hope they didn't nerf it like they did at Mali...
@TheViperAOC There is a problem with these campaigns, and that is the the winnings conditions are super slow to kick in. I suggest you save when you make your final pushes, because it's a bug and it's annoying as fuck.
After having recently played the first Vietnam campaign, I can't wait to see how you handle that. Noobie me had to restart a few times because my allies lost too many buildings and turqoise is an asshole. Easily the hardest campaign I've played in Rajas.
The 'Malay' in AoE2 refers to the Malay Archipelago/Nusantara and its peoples IIRC. And AoE2 has a history of using one faction to represent a culturally/militarily similar nation without its own separate faction (Goths for Poland in Barbarossa, Slavs for the Romanian Boyars in Vlad III, Celts for Skraelings/Native Americans in Vinlandsaga).

Pretty sure they switch sides once you defeat either blue or teal, also the dialogue from green was "you dare to betray the Great Khan?" right after the castle was built so the switch was definitely triggered by the castle.
I don't really understand criticism about malay's elephants. They are litteraly the toughest and the mighest melee unit in the whole game with heresy and faith. At this point any "drawback" are fine for me.
all elephant units in general are hard countered by monks cause they're so slow, they can also be beat by mass range units with a bit of micro, especially the malay's elephants cause they're missing two armor upgrades so their late game elephants, while cheaper, are super weak compared to the other elephant civs, also halbs have a massive bonus against them and are cost effective cause of how expensive elephants are, in the end elephants are strong, but really expensive and slow, so they aren't always the best choice
elephant archers are great for holding, but they don't apply much offensive pressure and can't really push effectively except maybe if you can get a deathball of them rolling, and that's really expensive and takes a long time
Actually my thinking is what is the point of comparing for example khmer's elephants and malay's elephants. I have tried both of them on Arabia and they are day and night, they are totaly different at late game. khmer's battle elephant are similar to persians' elephant and malay's elephants are similar to teutonic knight.

There is also a hidden Charlemagne campaign from the AoC Gold Edition. I think... or was it Sigfried? I don't remember - it's been so long.
