- We took a big road trip to the Northwest Tune Up Festival in Bellingham Washington, met up with Kyle and April in Boise Idaho at Bogus Mountain Bike Park, and also stopped by the Diamondback Bikes office! Milo and Owen had a blast, this was their first time in Washington State, and Megan loved getting back to the Northwest.

What a funny thing about being a parent. You love to see your kids do exciting things, but you're also worried the whole time they're doing them. It's very hard for me to suppress that urge to tell them to not do something that's risky. I usually tell them to make sure they're riding within their ability, or at least take it easy on the first few runs until they warm up or get used to the bike. It is the ever present balance of letting kids explore their boundaries but also keeping them safe.

Yes, you get it!! It's so cool and so much fun, but you also never want to see them get hurt!! I am constantly telling them to slow down or look at things haha, most of the time that gets edited out though cause no one wants to hear it all the time! They do a good job though, and I trust them more as they get older, knowing their abilities.

Next time your up in the northwest, go up to Whitefish Mountain resort. Sick place and awesome trails, but iff you go go after the first week of july so the whole mountain is open. als Glacier NAtional Park is near

While watching the video I was thinking, “He’s totally going to do Unemployment Line,” and then you did. That trail is sick (even though I sucked at it the last time I was there). Heading up there next month. Maybe I’ll crush it the second time. Galbraith is awesome!
Haha that's awesome! I loved that trail, and also need more laps on it! I felt the same way on mohawk trail too, it's another fun jump trail, I rode it terrible first lap then had to take more to start figuring it out!

dunno if you rode these trails or not but the cedar dust jump lines and a trail called atomic dog are some of my favorites at galbrieth.
we definitely rode A-Dog, but didn't have time for Cedar Dust... next year!

That’s awesome, thanks for the support!! I love riding without gloves, it just feels nice, but if I’m doing stuff where I think I might crash I wear them, or if it’s hot and I’m sweaty or if it’s raining.

It's funny how you can ride a trail, not ride it for some time and you can't remember it. Lol. Yep th Porter kids are definitely developing good riding skills. My kid already out rides me.
Haha yeah that happens a lot! My kids keep getting better for sure, I think they've got me beat on the skis and snowboard now!

Sick wish I was there to see you guys. That sad part about bogus is they have water holding ponds but there to stingy to water the trail for 1 minute in the morning but they will gladly make a fake snow run through the rocks and pretend it's cool. Worst place to ski in Idaho.
We'll be back, hopefully can see you then. Haven't been there skiing, but the bikepark was fun, just glad to see resorts doing that since so many of them don't have bike parks!
