Oh the memories! I've doodled that flaming unicorn on so many of my notes back in 8th grade.. This is amazing my friend great talent living the dream of animation!
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Lucky to found this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not stop watching this over and over again, this video game marked my childhood, I love this re-edition of the intro, its a pleasure see the great job and effort for making this, i know the old´s gamer´s like me will enjoy it.
Amazing I wish they would do a remake. 1 thing though the split top should stay up on take off its designed to help the plane gain lift at low speeds then goes flush at high speeds
One of my all-time favorite games! Still own the SNES cartridge...Great work, man, the Force is strong with U...always a pleasure watching your work. Best Regards. Simon
Absolutely awesomely well done! This was one of my favorite SNES titles and I still play it sometimes on ZNES. For a "rushed" effort, you sure did great justice to this great game. :)
FUCKING AWESOME! MY only complaint, and I'll admit its a nitpick unless you're an aviation nerd. The variable incidence wing on the F-8 Crusader is designed to stay up for takeoff instead of retracting.
Showed this to a buddy of mine from the USAF and his reaction was "all those dials; my fingers bleed just seeing them." So, great work. :D 10/10 would enjoy/traumatize again.
Usaf here. It hurts to watch this because my childhood self loves it, but there are so many issues. Turning radar on on the grohnd, Starting engines on the ground ..etc etc
Okay, I have to admit that about half way though I was thinking "The only thing wrong with this is the lack of music." Que an AWESOME version of said music starting. NICE.
Oh my goodness. Find a way to get the rights to this franchise and you'll be the chosen one for an HD remake. You're amazing. I hope you're "madman" enough to do it. I have faith in you.
It's still just as good as the others for such a "rushed" job, and I'm not just saying that. Keep up the good work and hope you find success in all your future endeavors.
They tried to say only a madman would take this mission, lucky they found me instead. (It's pretty sad that fanboys could almost make a Capcom game for free better than Capcom can sell poor games people don't want.)
I agree with Ventipossum...your game intros are amazing. Talk about breathing new life into old games! If the game companies (Hello Konami!) ever wise up and use home grown talent like yours the demand for these games would explode! The way I feel right now I would buy U.N. Squadron (the re-release) just for your video alone! Btw, did you notice that Capcom did not put U.N. Squardron on their Capcom Classics Collection? Yep, unless its hidden or unlockable, I've not seen it on Volume 1 or 2.
This is SO RIGHTEOUS. I absolutely cannot believe how much I enjoyed this. Now... could you maybe consider doing Axelay next? (You can see that it has a special place in my heart.)
The 'dislikes' in this video pisses me off, this should have a perfect ratio, however though IMO 30 years later this is still the best Shmup of all time! :)
Q: will you be doing a vex breakdown or tutorials on up and coming related projects?, would love to hear your take on what inspires you to do this wonderful work, and which is your favourite after effects plugins or recommendations are?
@rickonami if this was done as a rushed project i dont even want to thing about what would a project hyper super well elaborated by you :D, awesome as always hat down...
Great vid man i really love un squadron back in the nes days we need to see some more old school games brought back to life thumbs up. I would like to see a super metroid remake if u can and good job bro keep it up...
makes me wish Capcom would do an HD remake of UN Squadron, though there'd be licensing issues (though if they can get Disney to let them remake Duck Tales, I'm sure they'd get approval for this). I did have one issue (and sorry if it's been brought up before), in this the wing on the jet locks in, but actually the F-8 had a wing that would tilt up during landing and take off for better angle of attack. This is why unlike most other naval aircraft of its time, it doesn't have a tall front gear.
Leonomus Prime you are right. A point I hadn't realized when I made that comment. But would you agree that whether its Japanese or US developers, they are capable of missing the boat by not giving the public what they want...when they could? (Although as I'm typing this the realization of profit is probably what affects their decision.)
i watch this from time to time...brings tears to my eyes....
Alright- when the logo exploded onto the screen I got chills.
I loved this game growing up, and it holds a special place in my heart since it was the game my grandfather played before he passed.
we need a remake with this music
Oh the memories! I've doodled that flaming unicorn on so many of my notes back in 8th grade.. This is amazing my friend great talent living the dream of animation!
I cant think of anything to say other than you did this game justice with the remake of the intro, and I look forward to future videos keep it up!
"A specialist by nature, Shin quickly masters most normal weapons."
lol which involves pushing buttons
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Lucky to found this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can not stop watching this over and over again, this video game marked my childhood, I love this re-edition of the intro, its a pleasure see the great job and effort for making this, i know the old´s gamer´s like me will enjoy it.
YOU ARE CORRECT!!!!!!!
I'm going through Ans binging your videos ... the nostalgia is hitting hard and so too is the WOW THESE ARE AWESOME. :D
Incredible work. 10/10. Would watch again.
Nice job guys, I still have this game for my SNES.
This brings so many memories ^_^
Wow, this is great stuff. I hope you go through how you chose your shorts, and what kinda work you do as a 'day job'.
Wow!
Simon
I got chills and goosebumps when the engine fired up and the music kicked in. Awesome work man!
This is a thing of beauty, thank you for this!
This is an awesome, awesome remake. It doesn't fill me with as much determination as the SNES version did, but my god, it's impressive.
God, this is amazing!!! When the afterburner started with that guitar, it made me want to go uppercut a wild bear!!
same.. 2 bears!!!
If this is what your rushed projects look like, I can't wait to see your more focused work!
Absolutely awesomely well done! This was one of my favorite SNES titles and I still play it sometimes on ZNES. For a "rushed" effort, you sure did great justice to this great game. :)
Loved it, got goosebumps. Very faithfully re-created/re-imagined.
FUCKING AWESOME!
MY only complaint, and I'll admit its a nitpick unless you're an aviation nerd.
The variable incidence wing on the F-8 Crusader is designed to stay up for takeoff instead of retracting.
I would absolutely love if this was real!!
Absolutely amazing, shivers down the spine time!!! Well done!!
UN Squadron is one of my all time favorite snes games and this intro was AMAZING! Keep up the good work :)

As the best pilot in the game, I approve :) jokes aside my fellow pilots are great as well & this video is AWESOME!!
25 days of hard work only for 2:30 well-worthy minutes, nicely done sir
This was the very game that made me a fan of shmups. Excellent!
Great Job! the logo fire was awesome!
Masterful work as always as a rushed job it was great also good job on the background
This was sick. I kinda wish this was a whole soundtrack & also an actual game.
Looked so good, i thought it would be a trailer for a Summer 2013 theatrical release! Great video.
One of my fav games back in the day. Nice project.
great job man i used to play this game for hours on end brings back childhood memories
Que pasada de intro en HD!! felicidades desde España,congratulations from Spain.Viva U.N SQUADRON!
That needs a award of some kind.
great work
This game needs a reboot, I can't understand how after all this time nobody has thought to make a killer modern version.
Okay, I have to admit that about half way though I was thinking "The only thing wrong with this is the lack of music." Que an AWESOME version of said music starting. NICE.
This was brilliant, great work again. You make me want to download some ROMs. lol
Oh my goodness. Find a way to get the rights to this franchise and you'll be the chosen one for an HD remake. You're amazing. I hope you're "madman" enough to do it. I have faith in you.
Awesome work! I really appreciate the work and effort you put into this, it really shows!
It's still just as good as the others for such a "rushed" job, and I'm not just saying that. Keep up the good work and hope you find success in all your future endeavors.

Love how it says "better watch in 1080" yet has a ton of compression artifacts.

Good Great Scott, you did beyond awesome work. My question is; have you ever thought about remaking any of the games you did intros for?
