The Definitive Journey
... and I will go away. And the birds will stay, singing,
and my garden will stay, with its green tree
and with its white well.
Every evening, the sky will be blue and peaceful,
and, like they are playing this evening, the bells of the bell tower will play.
Those who loved me will die,
and the village will renew itself every year,
and in that corner of my flourishing and white painted garden,
my spirit will wander, nostalgically...
And I will go away, and I will be alone, without home,
without the green tree, without the white well,
withouth the blue and peaceful sky...
And the birds will stay, singing.
