I had the wonderful opportunity to sing this piece under Jan on another occasion. And I am still very grateful for this. From a singer's perspective, it was one of, if not THE best choir singing experience of my life, both in terms of musicality and vocal technique. The way in which singers can put themselves completely in his hands is enormously fulfilling, voice-preserving and (for lack of a better word, because it just is) satisfying.

I'm a little surprised that there are no comments on a wonderful piece of music posted Almost two years ago. I performed this (as BASS) in Chamber Choir in college back in 1976-1977, smaller group (24, 6 per section) and loved the peace that I felt in the performance. This is an excellent performance, in my opinion, from a well balanced larger & talented group, and Jan certainly knows how to extract the product that he intends to deliver.

      Thanks for your kind words.
Actually, we were roughly the same size of ensemble as what you mention: we were 7-6-5-7 singers...

This is absolutely superb - there is strength in this performance, but it is also prayerlike - no more should be said - listen to it again. Hartmut Kiener from Bad Toelz

This is excellent, both because it brings back memories of own participation in perfoming this wonderful piece, and in combining the video of the conductor and the score With the sound of the very good concert performance. Thank you!
