Since I began working in distribution warehouses, and now a factory, such sounds have become what a lullaby is to a baby for me. If I don't drink coffee throughout my night shift I'll fall asleep the moment my eyes close to the loud noises of the factory I work in. Oddly, I have difficulty falling asleep at home where it's quiet. No other noise will lull me to sleep than factory noise.
I'm a machine operator/maintenance tech and I hear this in my sleep. I've woken up from a dead sleep in a cold sweat because it was silent. In my line of work silence is a very very bad thing
I was lucky, my factory work career started just after OSHA made things like ear plugs mandatory. Also I always thought factories were very relaxing anytime you could be in one (or your area of one) by yourself. It's all them bosses and other people that make em a drag.
this takes me back to a very quiet late night in the lab, like 6 people in the building, everyone in their office while the machines hum i remeber falling asleep as a kid in the lab, this rly makes me feel warm inside
Damn this is remarkably peaceful compared to the factory I used to work in. We constantly had rhythmic hissing from furnaces and small knocking sounds, plus this kind of white noise. It was hard to stay awake when you're at the controls of a steel foundry waiting for the cycle to finish...
Reminds me of this one day working around the base of a coker unit and it was in December in Alberta and it got dark early, so it was 5pm but already dark, It was lightly snowing under those bright orange refinery lights and I knelt down next to a portable heater and with the heat and the loud factory hum similar to this and being all cozy in my warm cloths I was damn near falling asleep lol, That was back in 2015 but thinking about it now is what has me here
This has been helping me get to sleep and stay asleep for the past 3 months. I sometimes switch it up with some train noise or rain sounds but this is my new go to vid on most night's. Thank you so much for uploading this. I thought it was time to finally leave a comment and show some appreciation :-)
I've been having microsleeps during work that end up causing me to stay up until like 3am. As of writing, it's 1am and after only a few minutes of playing this, having exhausted every other option, I'm starting to feel sleepy. I think I found the cure to my sleep problem, but won't know until tomorrow.
I work in a factory and when I’m bored I always come up with really creative stuff, I guess because my mind is so bored that it’s trying to entertain itself. But when I get home to the silence I lose my creativity. Hoping this will reawaken my creativity.
For some great factory sounds that lend a rhythm hand to music, check out the movie Dancer in the Dark with Bjork. She plays a factory worker that can't help but hear music in every sound in the factory which in turn, turns into a full blown musical. It's really great factory music! Although the story is pretty dark.
Now i can fall asleep without wakeing myself up in 2 minutes of shutting my eyes. I drive forklift and thetes alot of down time so i get tired. Get home and its so quite i cant sleep, this fixes that
I’m retired from BNSF and would love to hear a video of inside the cab of a locomotive at a high throttle position. It’s difficult to say awake in these suckers, especially at night. Many times I caught myself beginning to doze off while roaring through the Rocky Mountains in notch 8. The newer locomotives are the worst for this.
Imagine working the night shift on a warm summer night. You're alone as you climb up the stairs on a chemical reactor, on your way to retrieve a sample for the laboratory. You check some gauges on your way to the sample collection point. When you arrive you look out on the whole factory that is lit up by bright floodlights as the sun starts to rise over the horizon.
Reminds me of working in pump rooms in high school. Didn't really get to handle the gas systems beyond status checks, but we did piss about with the water before and after a holiday break.
I used to work at a factory that produced plastic fences and there was a machine called "the grinder", that thing was LOUD. Let's just say my ears are still bleeding.
Does anyone know why we fall asleep listening to these compressors in the factories? My father worked at a tyre factory and I would visit the plant room and fall asleep within 10 mins in a chair
Our radiators control panel is in my room so in winter it'd just go BRRRRRRRRRR and I got used to sleeping with it now I can't sleep on quiet nights Lol
Great for leaving a message " Hey babe I'm going to be stuck here for a few more hours a guy didn't show up and they want me to try to cover part of his shift I'm not at a tiddy bar or anything Ha Ha, Got to go."
In reality, that does not sound like that. Actually, it is so unpleasantly loud that you do not hear your own words. Picture and sound do not match. This strange white smoke at the beginning, which then suddenly stops moving, does not make any sense either.

What am I doing? I've worked all day in factory, now i'm back home, relaxing with factory sounds. What
But those sounds at home are so relaxing man
haha that's great XD
So it means that you love so much your job!
Strange how we punish ourselves!
Lmao
I’m so happy this exists.

Same. When things go quiet, something is very very wrong.
This factory sounds so peaceful compared to the ones I've worked in.
I worked in one that you can be deaf :D

Im glad that im not the only person who relaxed by hearing large machine
@LordSesshomaru85 well I always liked continous soft vibration sounds.
My sisters think I'm so weird for liking this type of noise. They don't find them soothing at all
I used to sleep very well to this sound at work.
This gives the tingles so strongly! If the image was moving rather than static - steam, or whatever - they’d be so intense.

Ah the yummy splendor of the industrial hum!!! My fuzzy brain thanks you.
Thanks!
Love this ! Reminds me of a cheeky nap at work 😂 🤗💤
I had to open this up to pretend im at work while calling someone, this work great
Finally, something to drown out that damn squirrel in the attic that never sleeps.

remembering me as a kid when my dad had a night shift in the factory.. visited him with my mum like everday.. that factory was so big
Отлично , приходишь с завода вечером , врубаешь такой асмр и релаксируеш как бог.

Спасибо, Eddy!
Reminds me of the good old days when I used to work in factories. So damn relaxing. Thanks for sharing this
Thanks,.... this one is pure gold!

too long.
I play this in the background when I call my wife so she thinks I'm still at work.
That's exactly why I'm here
@@harrymack5610 LMAO 😂

I went to my dad's place of work when he was working in the factory, in winter you come out in the cold and there's three

Perfect. It's just perfect for blocking out the noise.

I now know what it feels like to be inside Trent Reznor’s head
Is that really his real name?
Almost sounds like a large Washing Machine. I can drift away on this sound.
I am a Polish man
what does that have to do with factory sounds? 🙄
Ok
Can you and your two brothers come over? I have a light bulb out
Es ponerlo y se pone la piel de gallina por todo el cuerpo 😁😁😁
I wish I could buy this on iTunes.

Does anyone know why we fall asleep listening to these compressors in the factories? My father worked at a tyre factory and I would visit the plant room and fall asleep within 10 mins in a chair
By the way, this knocked me out in less than 5mins
Its all basically to do with the mind and subconscious
Its not just this sound either but sounds all around washers dryers everything we hear on a day to day basis plays a part like sight all senses etc

so this is what you hear when you go deeper into the backrooms
YES HONEY I AM STILL STUCK AT WORK. COULD GET LATE TONIGHT. DONT WAIT UP
Thx heaps. Always play it from my laptop in a motel when calling wife while meeting with another girlfriends. Wife is always 100% sure I'm at work🤣🤣🤣

Robot production plant. Let's build as many robots.
So this is how global warming sounds like, mmmmm
An antifreeze factory?
I work in a factory and dislike it when they play the radio. It takes away from the orchestra of sounds that already surround me.
i swear to god I thought there was a drumrolll at the beginning
would have been great, but this would make deaf in the long run
Why does this make me feel like I'm being attacked by a swarm of crickets
