I've listened to this now almost every night (easily 360/365 nights a year) for at least 7 years now. I keep trying others, but NOTHING I've found can completely drown everything out like this track!

I remember being in a workplace one day (over 30 years ago) and although I can't recall what kind of business it was I remember a huge space with these very large air shafts running everywhere.The sound was deafening but at the same time extremely soothing-much like this recording but naturally much "weightier" and enhanced with a deep low end "thrum" that made me instantly wish that I worked there regardless of what ever the hell it was they did there!

This is regular white noise. Brown noise is a very specific term. It utilizes the brown note and makes you involuntarily poop.... (No. I'm serious. That's a real thing)
Reminds me of the time I took a wrong turn at the hotel I was staying at and wound up in the boiler room that had a similar sound. It was a snowy nite and I chatted with the maintenance crew for awhile and had to excuse myself later as I told them the sound was making me very sleepy. They all laffed and said, "Welcome to the club!"... So I would suppose the white noise syndrome is more prevalent than a lot of us have suspected. Have a good nite!
Naturaly it is prevalent to us all, because in our subconsciousness it reminds us the sound we heard for month when we are in the belly of our mothers, thats the reason why so much people love this noise, can focus and sleep so well with it, we are use to it and feel save with it we just cant remember why. This is awesome, i run it thru my phone thru a subwoofer everynight and sleep awesome, to me this is more pleasurable because it seems more like brown noise than white noise, it is a lower frequency. Also in the category of brown noise is interior of aircraft at cruising altitude, that is also very relaxing. Anyways, sleep on
I've been liking this one alot so far! gets and puts me to sleep fast! Reminds me of the sound of my old, loud, heater in my house when i was a little kid. i use this since months now in the night for sleep and sometimes even at work to focus bether when i work on the PC .. normaly i allways use videos with black screen in the night but not with this one 🤷♂️, even if the room is brighly lit. i love seeing the water flow, in combination with the noise its just wonderfull to calm down. i lay down on my bed, listen to the noise and look at the water and all this green stuff, and while i look my eyes get close and i fell asleep. and wake up hours later when the noise is over and the screen on my ipad turn black. sorry for my bad english, greetings from Germany and a big Thanx for uploading such videos

By Far my favorite video to fall asleep to. Its not even the sounds, its watching the rushing water. Something about Aerated rushing water is soothing to me as well. No idea why.
This is a very good sound. I like that it's loud and capable of blocking out a good amount of neighbor noise. It's even loud enough to annoy them back and make them be quiet by playing it through the ceiling at them. It's also interesting to see an industrial AC. I've never seen one before. I like watching the churning water. I would actually like to know exactly how it works because it's very cool.

Fans push that cooler air through the duct work to cool other areas. Since it is due to evaporation it is normally only efficient in areas which have low humidity.

Oh man, this type of noise has been part of my life for 30 years, me+my brothers used to build "dens" right next to out big generator,, it was outside backed onto a concrete wall, it had a huge hinged lid.. It gave off a heat, but also as the fan/turbine was spinning it was super cold.. Great memories...
ive been sleeping with this on for the last 3-4 years. its hard to sleep without it and if it turns off during the night or in the morning i wake up. i shiver during the day without it and think about it when its not on. Its basically heroin.

I was born in the mid 60's and started school in the early 70's and was diagnosed with ADD. As a result I was always wound up come bed time. My mental and physical stimulation in the evenings needed to be monitored. It was very hard for me to relax. Even now as an adult I have these issues along with insomnia. I discovered as a child on Saturday night bath night that the bonnet hair dryer sound relaxed me to the point of falling asleep while drying my hair... My Mom saw this as lightening in a bottle and recorded the sound onto audio tapes for me to play as I went to bed. It wasn't until my psychology class in college that I found out I wasn't alone. lol The the advent of the internet really showed I wasn't alone ! lol As a suggestion there are so many different white noise links try one or 2 different sounds at simmilar pitches. I think your right!!! I thought that I was the only one for a long time. I have been falling asleep to the sound of running water since I was a wee one. I can contribute this to being in the whom and wanting to go back, ever since I naturally entered this crazy world. I ask my mom to let me back in but she told me that she could not see her self lasting another 9 minutes let alone another 9 months being prego.
I used this 1 night to try help sleep after working night the shift and having new born baby in the house now here I am 7 years later still listening can’t be without it now!

My family had an old one made by DeVilbiss when I was a kid...loved the sound of that thing. This vid, btw, is awesome. Yo this is bomb! I use this every night. My roommate snores like a grizzly, gets on my nerves. This really drowns them out with my headphones! Love it!! Plus the sound of the water and fans are super soothing!
I wish I understood what is so mesmerizing about this. Especially watching the water flowing around pies and in little pools. It brings back some distant childhood memory that cannot be pinpointed.

There's something incredibly soothing about how secluded and seemingly "non-interesting" the place in the video is. Just a couple of ventilation turbines right? Just some heavy machinery. No one would care to hang out in that place, with that noise. But we who enjoy machinery sound would. I don't know what it is but I'd love to just sit down there and let the sound take me away for a while
It's just mesmerizing. The water and how it behaves under the air and the pressure of the turbines. That , in combination with the sound , could make me stare at it for hours completely unaware and uninterested of anything else happening in the surrounding.

I have played white noise to aid my sleep since being real young, I was always told I was mad I even thought I was mad likeing such a noise , I have never understood why it makes me so relaxed, my skin tingles when its cold in the room and I'm under my nice warm bed covers. I have always wished I could find someone to talk about there love of white noise with, IS THAT YOU ?. I'm nice not mad ! lol .
Yeah I can relate to that. Things like vacuum cleaners,ac,teapots,coffee machines and car heating/engine always made me super sleepy because they give me a sensation of warmth.

I think your right!!! I thought that I was the only one for a long time. I have been falling asleep to the sound of running water since I was a wee one. I can contribute this to being in the whom and wanting to go back, ever since I naturally entered this crazy world. I ask my mom to let me back in but she told me that she could not see her self lasting another 9 minutes let alone another 9 months being prego.

My family had an old one made by DeVilbiss when I was a kid...loved the sound of that thing.
This vid, btw, is awesome. I can imagine sneaking my way back to this part of the building on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the summer, finding a nice secluded corner in the shade, and taking a long nap.:-)

Yo this is bomb! I use this every night. My roommate snores like a grizzly, gets on my nerves. This really drowns them out with my headphones! Love it!! Plus the sound of the water and fans are super soothing!

I enjoy listening to many different sounds but this one is my all the time favorite .it's very relaxing to me and also a noise blocker..
I wish I understood what is so mesmerizing about this. Especially watching the water flowing around pies and in little pools. It brings back some distant childhood memory that cannot be pinpointed.

There's something incredibly soothing about how secluded and seemingly "non-interesting" the place in the video is. Just a couple of ventilation turbines right? Just some heavy machinery. No one would care to hang out in that place, with that noise. But we who enjoy machinery sound would. I don't know what it is but I'd love to just sit down there and let the sound take me away for a while

There's a reassuring quality to these sounds and visuals that create a safe haven for people to relax and meditate or sleep.
It's just mesmerizing. The water and how it behaves under the air and the pressure of the turbines. That , in combination with the sound , could make me stare at it for hours completely unaware and uninterested of anything else happening in the surrounding.

I have played white noise to aid my sleep since being real young, I was always told I was mad I even thought I was mad likeing such a noise , I have never understood why it makes me so relaxed, my skin tingles when its cold in the room and I'm under my nice warm bed covers. I have always wished I could find someone to talk about there love of white noise with, IS THAT YOU ?. I'm nice not mad ! lol .
Yeah I can relate to that.
Things like vacuum cleaners,ac,teapots,coffee machines and car heating/engine always made me super sleepy because they give me a sensation of warmth.
Do you listen to such things often, or was it just a one off ?

We must hear all manner of noises and vibrations, spiritual renderings too. I've had many favorite memories waking at dawn to see the new snow while cuddled under a blanket next to a furnace heat outlet with my brothers.

This is the best white noise I have found, btw there are a bunch of subtle car horns but I think they are all the same due to a 30 min loop? Each horn is roughly 30 mins apart so must be a loop. That's fine, kinda cool hearing the horns..
