For a moment I was heavy on Vlad but that changed after the Marlon down play.
He's definitely worth $40,000 for an interview. That sounds like a discount to me.
Dj vlad is a walking L but in all honesty this one isn't that crazy. I wouldn't have thought he charged 30 and vlad wouldn't have made his money back from views. Especially before the sharp interview. Shannon's show has a way of taking fan favorite people who aren't Hollywood elite but still has them blow up. Katt, Monique, Marlon. I think Shannon and Marlon get near 50/50 credit for the views. Sharp is a great interviewer. Vlad isn't lol. Not every investment works for every guy. This is coming from someone who's been a wayans fan my whole life.
Can we be a little honest? The reason why Marlon’s interview blew up is because of the controversy with Vlad and doing it on Shay Shay’s podcast which puts up very good numbers. The better thing would be him on another show that doesn’t have as big an audience as Shay Shay
V has his own issues with Club Shay Shay, mostly it's an envy thing. At the beginning CSS was a good and steadily growing show before 2024, and then Katt blew it up big time. V couldn't get the interviews he wanted as easily anymore. He couldn't be tight fisted with his appearance fees anymore. He doesn't get the views that Shannon does.
Another video mentioned that supposedly Vlad told Marlon that no YT interview show would be able to pull enough views and monetization to afford paying anyone 40k for the appearance. That video then calculated the theoretical potential pay from YT for both Vlad and Shannon based on the average views each one's channel has gotten recently. Even at his minimum average views, Shannon would easily surpass the views required to pay 40k for an appearance fee. Vlad couldn't clear that threshold even at his maximum average. The calculation only covered YT payouts for the full episode, and didn't count YT Shorts, clips, or other platforms content. That video made a final statement that Vlad's supposed comment was referring only to himself, not CSS nor any other interview show that's more popular than his own.

They have large engaged audiences. I’ve been a fan of the Wayans brothers, like many of you, since the I’m gonna get you sucka and in living color days. They’re black royalty. But they also haven’t really been media relevant, except Damon and Damon Jr, for almost 15 years. I think Vlad should pay Marlon his request but it would be for nostalgia purposes, not because of business relevancy. Marlon has been doing interviews before the beef and they haven’t been doing great numbers. But if it gets the Wayans family in the spotlight for a new audience, I’m all for it
Be honest yourself. A lot of people watch Club Shay Shay already. How is it better than he goes on another show that doesn't have a big audience? What does that prove? You understand the purpose of him being on the show is to promote his tour, correct? This is not about proving something to Vladimir or pretending like his worth only comes from going to a no-name platform to give it value. That's ridiculous.
Controversy or not, Marlon was going to get a couple of million views because of who he is and his talent. His interview was hilarious as expected, and you can share this stuff on the Internet, too. There was nary a mention of the Informant, so it could barely be connected to him.
What's more, why are you concern trolling and player hating against Marlon? Be honest? Who are you working for? Are you blackfishing with that photo? It's a weird thing to suggest he go on a platform that reaches fewer people. Makes no sense.
Club Shay Shay does well because his guests are interesting and Marlon on his own is interesting. You speak like somebody who isn't aware of who he is. He's not some UA-camr or Tiktoker influencer personality, he's comedy royalty... been in the game for almost 35 years. There's interest already built in.

He wouldn’t have made it back with the views when they were initially scheduled. Now there might me more views to get if they did an interview now due to their controversies with each other.
