I wonder how many barns burned down because of that dangerous mouse trap besides the people that accidentally shot themselves in the face with it. This one should never be used by someone that doesn't know anything about firearms, Shawn is a professional so he knows it's dangerous. I'd plug that barrel and just use it for display.

I hope you read this Shawn! I fell asleep with your videos playing on my tv. It made me dream about that I met you at your place, it seemed I made you so happy when I told you that I've seen all of your videos. 😄
You had a family and relative gathering and I got to meet some of them. Kind of feels like I know you now! 😁
Anyway, I know it was just a dream but it was so weird and fun to dream a so detailed dream about someone I don't really know..
One of your relatives asked me something about what I did in "garbage garden" but I don't think that place even exists 😆
Anyway I thought this would bring you at least some joy knowing that you've become something big and affecting people all around the world.🐀
    Greetings from Sweden! 🇸🇪

The percussion cap you're using is too big, that's a musket cap, it looks like you need a #10 or #11 size cap, it should be snug on the nipple, not loose and flopping around.

That trap wasn’t intended for a solid slug but a pinch of coarse sand or shot to kill the target with. But a solid slug and a deer feeder now you have something to help feed the family during trying times.

Super cool idea. Honestly, it wouldnt even need a " bullet/projectile" to be effective. Load a powder charge and a cardboard/fiber "wad" to contain the powder charge just long enough to build pressure. It would be like firing a blank round at point blank range. Would be VERY messy, but it would work.

That's ingenious...as 3 or 4 trap cannons go off at night while your sleeping, you're house is burning up or burning down as you wake up. It's The Battle of the No-Brainer...🤔😂!

I know a guy who couldn't seem to catch a rat other ways, so he placed a suicide cord at the hole he knew the mouse used. Pounded a couple nails in the floor, secured one conductor on each nail, overhanging the hole...When the rat came out of the hole...well, suffice to say the rat completed the circuit..

I am surprised the concussion from the cap did not kill the rat. I've been a muzzle loader since 1979, but I learned something new today.
I hope the spray from the soda bottle did not cause any corrosion on the outside of your excellent original musket.

Fun fact. In the US you can't legally patent booby trap designs. So many thing like the famous "revolver mouse trap" were just booby traps patented as mice traps.

Got 1 of these from DGW about 25 yrs ago. It works & I haven't managed to start a fire yet. I've always loaded mine with a small amt. of powder & the barrel fully patched with wadded newspaper. It kills the hell out of mice.
Somehow I've managed to misplace the darn thing.
