    i’m wanting to start picking up more four mallet. do you think this would be a good starting piece?

      I'm studying it right now, it is not too difficult you can do it as first piece if you have already done some technique with 4 mallets.

    Yeah but what is the name of the song? Mbira is the name of the instrument, also known as the Kalimba or thumb piano.

      The name of the marimba piece is "Mbira Song," it was composed by Alice Gomez and Marilyn Rife.

    Curious: How did this song get its title? There is another song, from Zimbabwe, called Mbira (but it is a marimba tune... arranged from Mbira style music)

      An Mbira is an instrument mainly played with the thumbs. I dont know what this song is called.

      It's the name of an African instrument, more commonly known as a Kalimba or Thumb Piano.

      It originates from Zimbabwe and is played by the culture group known as Shona. It’s a plucked idiophone and is played in a polyrhythmic style
