Gotta love Michael's editor providing counterpoint on the idea that humans have a rational will.
I WAS DYING everytime he said rational, some clip of a furry would play 💀💀💀
For real. 😭 My literal reaction was “Oh Lord, am I in Hell?” But then again, I think that every time a see a furry. I think that might have been the best part of the entire video.
Yes, I totally expected to see some extremely obese person stuffing their face when I heard the part about the appetitive will.
It’s not counterpoint; it just makes their choice that much worse because it was indeed a choice
3:49 caught me off guard. The first several times I thought she was saying "Woof woof fart fart".
I had a vegan say to me, while I munched on some chicken: "that chicken had a family." So I told him "that's why I bought the family pack. Noone left behind "
I just spit out my coffee when I read this lmao
😂😂😂😂😂❤😅
It’s always crazy to me that vegans pretend that animals have human-like feelings and family structures to try and emotionally relate ourselves to them, but ignore the fact that most “higher” animals eat meat. Including that chicken, who had a family that he most definitely did not care about as much as humans care for ours.

My sister was vegan for a year. When we would go to Cracker Barrel, she would order the ‘veggie plate’ and get turnip greens. Afterwards claiming how good she felt after eating that plate. When asked why she was eating that, she said the little brown bits were tree bark for ‘flavor’. It was pork. She was eating shredded pork in her turnip greens for the whole year. Many of their veggies are cooked in butter, pork fat, and almost nothing on their menu is truly vegan. 😂😂
Nothing at cracker barrel is vegan.
People learn. Why is that funny? Meat eaters cried when cb announced it would add a non meat dish.
@@tsarina24honolulu87Can you pronounce every ingredient in plant-based meat?
@tsarina24honolulu87 wanna talk about crying 😂 vegans protest outside restaurants to get them shut down for serving meat. 😂
Vegans can only be healthy when they cheat like that. When I worked in healthcare workers always complained about the vegans as they are mental and veganism is another extreme to try to exert their excessive control issues. The vegans will come to the hospital with their electrolytes all out of balance and stay a few days to get healthy again. It is not a healthy lifestyle. In other countries they have bugs naturally get into the flour they grind up and insect flour gives a slight nutty flavor as long as rigor mortis didn't set in which makes them bitter and metallic flavored. That is how other countries work out with veganism. It doesn't work here. They all cheat if they aren't regularly in a hospital. I went on a few dates with this one vegan who said he wanted me to become vegan, he said he'd make me watch some documentaries to make me change my mind (fat chance as I have medical experience) and then he said he wanted to drink my blood from my Nethers- which is also cheating veganism. He said it was sexy because it was taboo. He is a "vegan" in his mind, but a dang Vampire. That is what vegans are. Freaks.
It probably spared her from some of the worse nutritional deficiencies. I’m glad she didn’t know.

I'll say that, as a conservative, something I don’t see very often is other conservatives advocating for healthier, more humane, sustainable farming practices. I think it's a pretty important subject that gets overlooked on the right. People get most of their food today from farms that are too reliant on chemical fertilizer, keep animals sitting in their own crap, and destroy land. We're called to be STEWARDS of the land.
I agree. I think the main issue is that there are other problems to deal with. In general conservatives are too busy working LOL and tired and beaten down to do anything like this about anything....child trafficking is a huge issue. Though I'd argue farming sustainably should be more obtainable...honestly it's changed a lot in many ways thanks to conservatives. But fighting major corps takes a long time.
Bill Gates is helping screw over the world with his fortune, and he's destroyed many farms recently and bought up land for his own...so that's the sort of thing being dealt with.
The transing of the kids and how terrible our public schools are are massive issues. Yet most conservatives are hush hush there too when it comes to actually doing something about it, or even speaking out in public.
If we could teach children more about the truth, and logic, including about sustainable farming and what it means to value life and care for the animals that will become food....we would have a better shot. But there are many wealthy people that don't want that. They want desperate confused Marxists.
I'm struggling to get funds to leave my state right now. For fear the govtwill remove my children if they decide to try to trans one. That's legitimately a law now. I believe in two states. CA and WA. So these are priority issues IMO. I think the cows can wait. In the meantime I do my best to buy from the USA, and pay more to get eggs etc with proper raising of the animals. Good Ranchers is a company you can use if you have the money.
@@riikka6125Nope. Sorry. You're killing off animals if you have to farm enough plants to make up for the lack of meat nutrients.

I find it very funny that vegans constantly are screaming "MEAT IS EVIL" and the first thing they do as a vegan is try and make everything look and taste like meat and milk.
So? People don't go vegan cause they don't like the taste of meat. And if we can make plants look and taste like meat, why wouldn't we?
@@antarcticagreenland2703 the fact is, if meat is so wrong evil and murderous than why do they constantly try to make everything look like normal food with meat. Why not make something new and unique instead of just making copies of something you see as evil.

1) If you look at the strawberry milk guy clip, he's pouring from a bottle of Nesquik. If you look up Nesquik's bottled drinks, they will advertise that their flavoured bottled milk are made with real milk, so it's absolutely not vegan. Strawberry milk is... strawberry-flavoured milk. I'm pretty sure that's what it has always meant for the longest time. What a world we live in.
2) About the Bible verse guy. About Jesus: Aside from the grilled fish for the disciples that Michael spoke of, there's also Luke 24:41-43. Jesus proved he has bodily resurrected to his disciples by eating fish in front of their faces. Also, what Michael referenced when he mentioned Noah: Genesis 9:3 says "Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything." God did give mankind permission to eat meat as food and does not consider it sin.
Except pork for the Jews....but yes we are also told to care for the animals and land. To not be greedy and abuse it. We are to be kind to kill the animals in the most humane ways possible and not to murder them. Distinct difference in the Bible between murder and kill which is sadly underrated today.

My testimony: After being an atheist for 8+ years, and "married" to another female, I got the urge one day to say out loud "IF there is an Almighty God that does NOT wish us pain or sorrow, please bring me truth, I wish to know you exist". Then God immediately started bringing me the answers I had been searching 8-11 YEARS for! I witnessed Him take control of my internet and the rest of my reality; He first proved to me that demons exist (I called them "inter-dimensional beings"), then He proved His own existence when He didn't have to, which I later found to be Jesus Christ. As soon as I found Jesus at the end of 2020, He IMMEDIATELY took away my transgenderism, bisexuality, depression, daily suicide attempts, self harm, bulimia and anorexia; and He did this all without me asking Him to, because THAT'S how merciful and loving He is! Praise God! Repent of your sins and follow Jesus Christ while you still can. Jesus Christ is the name above all names, and the only way to Heaven. The Euphrates River has dried, which is Biblical prophecy, so there truly isn't much time at all.
I'm not a bot, a liar, or a troll. I'm simply doing what The Bible tells me to do. God calls ALL Christians to share their testimony. I boast in The Lord, and want the world to know the truth: that you can be saved and set free of what troubles you spiritually, if you dedicate yourself to Jesus Christ.
Glad you found piece, and stopped allowing the demons to fool you like they have so many of us at one time or another...

Welcome to the family!
And you're absolutely right, there isn't much time left at all - and it isn't only the Euphrates that shows us this (it isn't completely dry just yet - but it's close), there are a ton of prophecies jumping off of the pages of the Bible right now. It's an incredible time to be alive, we are extraordinarily blessed.
One of my favorite preachers often says that the disciples will be seeking us out to ask us what it was like to live through end times prophecies, just like we wonder about them walking with Christ. I want to talk to Paul, David & Noah probably most of all (besides Jesus), I have so many questions! 😂
Anyway, you're not alone by a long shot, a huge amount of people are turning to Christ - seemingly overnight. And Muslims! Look up Jesus reaching out to Muslims through dreams, it's so many of them that it's hard to believe they're making it up. It's amazing!
Sorry for the book. 😊

Fresh, no steroids, chemicals and all the animals were treated humanely, because my dad, despite being a fairly bad person, made sure the animals were well taken care of first before anything else. I also have something to say about these vegan fitness gurus who swear by a vegan diet but at the same time use supplements and steroids to get big or compete.
I have been buying as much meat as I can from a local farm (its very expensive) and it tastes so much better.
For those who live in more urban areas and have less access to farms, Muslim halal food is also a good source of healthier meat. They have strict standards, which must be adhered to due to their religious nature, and Christians don't need to worry about eating it (1 Corinthians 10, Acts 10)

Best argument I've seen are the conditions in some of these mega-meat factories. That being said, that's just a reason to do your part in not purchasing anything from them.
Imagine not eating a huge omelette made from eggs that chickens on your own land laid *because it's an animal product*

@@Jay_in_Japan ok what's your point then?
@Mark Zuckergecko It's more than "some factories." The vast majority of the meat we consume comes from factory farms with terribly inhumane conditions. People who believe that growing vegetables does not lead to the loss of animal life have never visited a vegetable farm. In order to crop crops one has to destroy all other life in that area from weeds to insects to birds and mammals and completely disrupt the food chain. Free range animal farming allows for the existence of complex ecosystems. I grew up in a rural area and have never met a vegan with a rural upbringing.
This is widely addressed by vegans across the internet. Veganism is about minimizing suffering, not zero suffering.
75% of US crops are for feeding animals, so most of plant farming death is also caused by humans eating animals
Some one trying to reduce suffering as far as pracitibaly possible knows this, more so than than a omnivorous person .
Less animals die on a plant based diet than a omnivorous diet , this is a irrefutable fact .

Michael claims that animal suffering doesn't matter because animals don't have "rational souls." Not only is that cold-hearted, but he's wrong, as Ecclesiastes 3:19 clearly proves: “For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other, and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast; for all is pride.”
You should actually read Ecclesiastes start-to-finish. It's my favorite book in the Bible.
The point of the book is that the teacher is lamenting the futility of a materialistic world. Humans are born, work and die and it was all for nothing in the long run. In that sense, our lives are just as meaningless as the animals'. But the final chapter concludes that there is meaning in life and to fulfill it we must fear God and obey his commands.
Not only is the verse you cited not a proof-text, it actually proves your view to be wrong. We are like the animals _materially_ and animal lives are materially meaningless. But what makes humans intrinsically valuable is our ability to revere God, something that animals cannot do.

This is why Michael Knowles is the only person who could convince me to become Catholic. He truly has a gift for evangelism
Oh Lordy. Catholicism misuses the Bible frequently though. It's not the same as just being a Christian who follows Christ. It's ironic because he seems to know how Bible fairly well (though which version and context I'm not sure of ...) . Saints are anyone who follows Christ, any Christian is a saint. It says it throughout the text. Churches have no right to dictate who is a saint.
We also see rituals that go against what Christ preached about. How the churches are greedy. Christ says church can be wherever two or three people gather in his name.
Also prayer is private. So lost churches have that wrong. Praying en mass is not Biblically accurate for Christians. Ideally one would have an actual prayer closet.
Christians don't need to follow the ritualistic stations of the cross, giving alms to the church (though I'm aware this is charity to help keep it running, they are tax exempt...and the Catholic church expressly used to get money by convincing people they could buy their way into sinlessness...that's why Martin Luther was famous..)
I grew up a confused "Christian Catholic" in Catholic school for Elementary. The two don't mesh. Catholicism is just a rebranding and misuse of Christianity.
@ari3lz3pp
I'm not saying I ever would. I'm a Messianic Jew. A Jew for Jesus. I'm happy in my current place of worship, and I don't Catholicism is correct but my point was Michael Knowles is quite intelligent, charismatic, and, importantly, not holier-than-thou, which from my experience with Catholics tends to be a thru line. Obviously, Catholics aren't ALL like that, but a majority are. While Michael isn't, and so if anyone COULD get me to convert, it would be him. But as it stands, I'll stick with my current congregation. Though I would point out that you ought to listen to other perspectives. If I didn't start asking questions, I'd still deny Christ.
@@ari3lz3ppi am always shocked at how misinformed people are when it comes to catholicism. I recommend you read the letters of the early church fathers to see that the catholic church is indeed the one true church and that the sacraments have been part of the church since the very beginning.

I would like to hear why Michael feels animals shouldn't have any rights.
I don't disagree that being cruel to animals is a sign of a psychopath, but that doesn't discount the idea animals should have some intrinsic value as living things.
If not, WHY would abusing animals be a sign of psychopathy?? If animals don't have souls, or any real value BEYOND being food, then WHY would it be considered bad to do ANYTHING you want to them?? Why would me burning my cat alive be seen in any worse light than me say, burning my office desk??
He said why, it’s a reflection on the person, it’s an indicator of an unhealthy mind…. I personally think animals should be handled with dignity and love but I do think animals are the ideal diet for humans… I think we need to come up with a different way to do ‘feedlots’ I don’t think they are ethical, I think the ranchers could supplement their cattle’s diet in the pasture and should sell directly to the customer… that’s why we have feedlots… a rancher has 200 cattle to sell, if Costco buys those cows and wants them corn finished, Costco has them sent to a feedlot… the cattle don’t spend years there, more like two months, being fed a high corn diet(which makes them sick, it’s like feeding a child candy for two months, cows LOVE corn btw), if people would stop relying on grocery stores, we could turn our system around… every household should have a veggie garden, herb garden, fruit trees, and berry patches, add in 6 chickens and you have eggs for your family as well as compost for your garden and a way to get rid of kitchen waste… it’s how our ancestors did it…
@@randomcole619 but still, if an animal is not deserving of any rights and you believe that has no soul, then why is it a reflection of an unhealthy mind to hurt or destroy them for ANY reason.
To be clear, I'm not vegan, and I DO eat lots of meat. I don't disagree with anything you wrote, and I also believe animals should be killed ONLY for food.
I believe they have souls, and their lives have intrinsic value, therefore to abuse an animal, or kill one for no reason is wrong. Michael DOESN'T believe that, Yet still thinks to do it is a sign of psychopathy. I just want to hear is rationale.
This is actually something I've given a fair amount of thought to, and as yet have not come to a satisfying conclusion.
@@sparrow420500 From a Christian viewpoint I imagine he'd probably point to verses that suggest animals don't have a soul yet still talk about a person's responsibility to treat animals decently. I'm thinking specifically of verses like
"A righteous man regardeth his animal but the tender mercies of the wicked are always cruel" Proverbs 12 10-11 and the instructions that animals be allowed to rest also on the sabbath and an ox must not be muzzled when threshing the grain.
Nevertheless the Bible states man was giving dominion over them and if I remember correctly the word in the Hebrew is quite a harsh word.
Picking up on your main point though about why would it suggest an unhealthy mind to inflict cruelty upon an animal if it has no soul, I'd suggest wantonly destroying a piece of beautiful artwork for no good reason suggests an unhealthy mind and statues and paintings don't have souls. We're supposed to be ordered towards beauty, truth and goodness, torturing an animal, destroying a beautiful piece of art, neither of those are acts that are in service of beauty, truth or goodness.
Now you got me thinking about this, lol. I might return if anything better comes to me.
@@sparrow420500I believe animals don’t have rights, but abusing them isn’t ethical because since humans are moral beings, it would betray that moral part of us to intentionally torture a living being needlessly. It is factual and well known that people who torture animals for fun eventually move on to humans, because they destroy that moral part of themselves that doesn’t tolerate unnecessary suffering. Animals don’t have rights because they aren’t moral beings, however. They torture and kill each other all the time. They rape, cannibalize, and murder, yet none of those things are actually wrong to them because they don’t comprehend right or wrong. All these vegans cry that it is wrong to “murder” animals because they think we’re animals too, but then by their own logic it should be perfectly fine to eat animals since animals also eat each other.

Its easy to tell that being vegan is an unnatural way of life by realizing without modern conveniences such as delivery trucks and refrigeration you'd be dead on the prairie half a day after you got there
Without delivery trucks and refrigeration, how would you get your conveniently slaughtered corpses delivered without being overrun by bacteria and maggots? Wow, think much?
How do you think they get the meat to the store without all the factory farms and refrigerated trucks?
Try eating the amount of meat the average american eats in any other time period. You’d have to be a king!
Thousands of animals crammed into tiny dark feces-ridden cages and force fed antibiotics is definitely natural though, you’re right.
@@guintar6661Well the city folks would be screwed if there were not modern delivery systems because not enough game or forgeable food would be available. Even those in more rural areas would be hit hard because it takes a lot of time to forage enough to keep you feed let alone healthy.
Yes, it is unnatural, but why does that matter morally? Morality is not based in nature, many things happen in nature that we consider immoral. Furthermore, why do you believe that if something does not occur in nature it's automatically unhealthy?
I am Christian who is also vegan. For me it’s simple: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I would not want to be hunted for sport or slaughtered needlessly for food, skin/fur…etc. so if I don’t want to be treated that way, and I don’t have to treat others that way (human or animals) I won’t. For me it’s about empathy - some argue that animals don’t have a soul but they demonstrate a lot of emotions that we humans have: fear, love, sadness. Why would I want to put them through that when I can go without. My conscience and compassion is worth more to me than my appetite and palate
