The good news is nobody was injured. You repaired it yourself 👏👏👏👏👍

Yes! One of the main advantages of automatic machning is that the operator is very well protected. Actually one of my workers did most of the assembly/disassebly and he did a great job at that. I just fixed the broken casting and made some final adjustments. I'm needed in making customer parts all the time.

Always glad to see a new video from you. Thanks :) Sometimes the only bright side of a situation is knowing it could have been worse, but luckily wasn't.

Absolutely should not happen, should be hard coded or wired for this to never happen.

good to see you back, in action sorry to hear about the crash lucky no one was hurt, I would also imagane their should be no way to run the programme while atc is out, does no make sence for the machine to do this

Yes. That amazed me as well. The machine will not move when the atc is in the middle, but when it's in change position, it will move. The spindle only stopped coming down when it had pushed the atc so far that the change position limit switch opened.

It was pushing that caused the machine to "forget" that the ATC was not retracted. A quick solution is thus to tape over the reset button as this function is quirky.
Another idea is to add two switches to implement this logic: If ATC not back in the retracted position and (spindle sinks under the height of the ATC + a couple of cm for good measure) then stop.
Probably not worth it if You just remember to stay well clear of pushing the reset button ;)

Hired help always find a way to destroy anything, that is the negative of a positive you get when hiring people.
