LAFD / Palm Grove House Fire / Mid-City L.A.

3-29-2016 LAFD Engine 68 first on scene reported heavy smoke from the attic of a one story single family dwelling at 2625 South Palm Grove Avenue in L.A.‘s Mid-City area. Engine 68 had three hose lines in operation, Engine 34 & Engine 94 backup. Truck 94 went to the roof to start ventilation and check for extension. Task Force 61 laid a supply line from Adams Boulevard. The “content fire” was quickly knocked down in 15 minutes. There were no reported injuries, damage was extensive. The cause of the smoky pre-dawn blaze is under investigation. - MNR -
