Just wanted to say thanks for helping me better enjoy what little free time I have! As someone introduced to the Total War genre via TW:Warhammer, at times the "learning curve" can seem like a straight, vertical line pointing at the sun, and many nuances are just totally lost on me. I'm sure I'm not alone in this... and definitely won't be, since the Norsca content and TW:W2 seem to be garnering TW tons of new fans! I'm positive these fans will find your channel and you'll do very well with the high quality of content you provide; it really is Elite!
Very nice guide, I do like Lore of Heavens personally. Always been fan of Air magic in HoMM calling thunderbolts, comets and all sort of nasty things from the sky. I wish they changed Chain Lightning to be like in other games jumping from one target to another and dealing less damage witch each strike.
Your aiming recommendations on Wind Blast aren't optimal, and you didn't cover where you should place the aiming reticule. You aim it the exact same way you would aim a Wind of Death or Penumbral Pendulum; up/down a line, not through it, and not while a unit is moving. Very cheap for a lot of damage if you expect to go up against low armored units, especially things like Savage Orcs. I also didn't see you mention that Comet of Casandora is better against cavalry (like Foot of Gork) because it doesn't knock cav units back
Good point on the Comet - I should have mentioned that like I did for the Foot of Gork. Sometimes I forget that everybody isn't necessarily watching these sequentially, and I'll keep that in mind going forward! As for Wind Blast - again, I talk about aiming in a previous video, so oversight on my part again and a good point of feedback. I'm personally not much a fan of Wind Blast myself as I prefer the other spells in the lore, even against damage resistant units, but thanks for sharing your input for others to pull from! =)
Has CA every explained why they refuse to make vortex spells worth anything? It would be one thing if they were devastating but random, or less destructive and stationary. But instead we get expensive spells that barely tickle and have just as much chance for friendly fire. How do they expect anyone with common sense to ever use them?
I'm not sure why the Vortex spells aren't slowed down further, or why they don't have their rotation rates reduced. Pit of Shades is probably the only Vortex spell I can strongly recommend - and that's because it's stationary! Vortex spells' damage tends to be fine, which is the real unfortunate part. Good spells that just don't listen to instructions.
Ghost Mutton huh? I used a vortex spell on a siege battle and pretty much ate every single unit in the middle trying to hold ground. It broke 4 units completely, which were full and the others had bad damage. Thought it was pretty good. Now that I have finished typing this, I realise that this may be entirely situational and lucky
Love the magic guides, but im surprised you are doing these ones now but a week before a major patch hits that may see the info in them made incorrect.
Thank you! And a fair concern, but that is what's stopped me for the last while (since Bretonnia) - a constant concern of patches and updates and hotfixes - and now a sequel! - so I've got something of a plan which will, hopefully, hold up once the updates come through!
TheMuncyWolverine yea agreed, when they released lore of shadows they got Pit of Shades right since it stands still. If they went in a reliable direction like a straight line for at least 5 or 6 seconds I think they'd be much better.

How do you pivot the aim of the Wind Blast? I've seen UA-camrs do it, but I don't think anyone's ever actually explained it.
Cameron Call Oh wow, this is an old one. Hold down LMB when you select a spot for it to start and then you can adjust
@@TheSoddenPine I'm sorry I'm such a noob. What does LBM stand for?
Cameron Call Left Mouse Button! Click, hold, drag.
These are fantastic! Are you going to do more magic guides? I would love to know your thoughts on the Lore of Metal.

Ghost Mutton Its sad really because allot of vortex spells look awesome. but because they barely do anything nobody bothers to play them.

Some people are addicted to gambling.
Thats what vortex spells are about.
Either you get the jackpot or a loss

Nice to hear, keep up the good work.....Foolish Man-thing.
I really wish they'd make the vortex spells less garbage

by update ready do you mean you will be reposting them soon?
Hey what do you use to get those close shots and the nice DOF in your videos?
Can someone tell me what you would consider 'armoured'? I never know if that means 30 armour, or 50, or more..
You could say the spells in this lore are quite "heavenly"
"Relatively Simple"
Wait, did I really? Where?!
False Alarm : D
I love how you're just so fucking tired of talking about the useless vortex spells haha
well comprehensible...pit of shade only one that is worth talking about.
