you can change to a Qwerty keyboard on the sat nav screen by using the keyboard symbol in the bottom left hand side of the screen

Had its first service in December and that was very reasonable.
Downloaded and installed the updates for the touchscreen last week and yep I’m very happy with it .

Great review, thanks. Ordered the C5 shine and looking forward to driving it. I can't understand those that trash the climate control, once its set you don't need to mess with while driving, remember its fully automatic. Thanks for the review
But supposing you are in that situation when it gets a bit to hot/cold in the car and you want to adjust the heating quickly, or maybe de-mist the windows...its a terrible design, style over practicality. If messing around with a mobile is dangerous, then how is trying to adjust the heating and ventilation controls in the same manner any different?
When I went to test drive an Aircross the salesman's face dropped when I commented to the heating and ventilation...and in a way like he had heard it before....Such a shame, we really fancied this car.

Thank goodness your Go Pro audio worked, sir! We had a very similar situation last year where we lost the audio on the SmartLav+... With regards to the car, I definitely agree with you, there should be physical buttons for the heating and ventilation controls, much as the voice commands are fun for a bit!
Thank you - a great review that helped me decide NOT to get a C5 Aircross - the daft ventilation controls are not only a deal breaker, but strike me as dangerous!

Awesome review , I think there's too much tech in a cars now a days , we're slowly losing the ability to drive and all the fun is being taken out of driving with all the tech , as your lovely wife touched on if you need to use this tech should you really be on the road ?
Very informative, but can you charge your mobile phone on the wireless charging pad and use Android auto on the cars touchscreen at the same time?

@@CarObsession I mean without plugging in a usb cable? Because certainly if it's wirelessly charging, still having to plug in a usb cable for Android auto makes the wireless charging pointless. Can you verify?
@@VEVODeVon Ah I see! No, you would need to have the phone plugged via a cable for the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.
I have just got my 21 plate C5 but no parking assist or camera been told that Citroen has removed them to keep the price down what do you think.

What model did you get ? We are looking at the C5 aircross shine plus, but they say the infotainment screen is rubbish & it takes ages to load 🤔do you have this problem with yours ?

How would the park assist work if you had bike rack on back ? I assume it wouldn't take that into account when parking ?

Is exact same as Peugeot, I know they are the same company. The only difference is the background colour. I have to admit that their system is not particularly user friendly. Endless hopping in to cars set to KM and have to change them back to MPH and that Sat-nav is a little tedious to use having to put in the full address instead of postcode but that might be on the vehicle I had, the 2008. Where did you get this Citroen?, I am getting in to car review myself but have been renting the cars.

Are you sure the lane assist moves the steering wheel? I thought when it works, it just shows the lane on display and bleeps
Hello David, thank you for watching. Yes, the steering wheel definitely moves, as demonstrated at around 14:10.
David Redmond it moves the steering wheel if you do not indicate when changing lanes. I found it a bit annoying, it does not stop you changing lanes, as you cross the white line it feels like some one has tugged at the wheel for a second. A bit like when your car tries to follow ruts in a road. But you can turn it off but I have not found a way to disable it so have to remember to turn it off at the start of each journey. It also seems to activate unexpectedly when driving on rural roads.
I have a question: why isn’t the C5 Aircross offered with LED headlights in the UK, even as an option when they’re offered in other markets where it’s sold? 🤔
Here in the UK, C5 Aircross buyers have to make do with old-fashioned halogen headlights like on an old Austin Metro...

you can upgrade then halogen bulbs plenty of offerings of 30% brighter white light bulbs from ring at an auto factors, ive been using them for years and they are much better than standard bulbs..
Does the parking brake need to be disengaged manually? In my old C4 Citroen this is automatic.

I have just bought the flair model and it does not have the gap button on the stalk it only say mem on both buttons does the distance driving work on the flair model, are you sure this is not the flair plus

Around 0:30 I said it was the Flair model 🤷♂️.
@@CarObsession the manual knobs for adjusting the fan speed and selecting screen fiunctions are under the screen on the ebony panel. next to the stereo on/off/volume button. if you want to do a demo press the talk button on the steering wheel and "say what can you do" but be prepared for a 5 minute lecture on all the functions. The electric parking break will self release if you select first gear and pull away, even though the car has hill start this is especially handy on particularly steep hills or when you are parked close to vechicles behind you, electric parking breaks have a bad reputation, my specalist citroen independant put the car up on ramps and checked the underneath being as I bought a used one and he seems to think the electric brakes on the rear are of a much better quality than the older model citroens. my lane keep assist wont let me go anywhere near the white lines and ot really tugs at the steering wheel, I turn it off as it hinders overtaking to much. the camera on the windscreen triangulates with the radar in the front grill to automatically brake if you get to close to the car in front and it works to, tried to get my mate to drive at me but he lost his bottle at the last minute. by the way if you press the buttons on the side of the headrests they slide back and forewards.
nice review most reviewers dont do this car justice but you are maybe the first who has, well done.
We were looking at buying one of these as we like Citroens, but the touch screen for the heating and ventilation controls has put us off completely.
Its dangerous to start prodding at buttons while you are driving as opposed to just turning a knob or dial

I might have missed it, but which engine was in that car and how did you find it driving power wise?
Don't worry might be a wheelchair user, but not going to go all SJW on you for threatening the poor satnav woman. But throwing the wife out in cold to film was a bit much, some date that one, mind you she did offer to sacrifice her foot for the alloys, only call her a keeper, if you ask me that's going way above and beyond.
Hi John, thanks for watching. No need to worry about missing anything - the engine was not mentioned as this video was focusing on the tech. There will be a full review of this car coming in the next few days. I had the 1.2 PureTech 130 engine, which works pretty well and it offers decent performance no matter what road you're on.
I didn't mean anything rude or insulting, by the sat nav comment, which is why I backtracked after I said it.
My Mrs was more than happy to assist as she knew she would need to get out at some point, and I'd never force her to film anything for my channel.
