Malayalam music director Ramesh Narayan is under fire for his behaviour towards actor Asif Ali. Ramesh and Asif were attending the trailer launch of the upcoming Malayalam anthology, Manorathangal, where Asif was asked to present Ramesh with a memento. Ramesh allegedly refused to accept it from the actor.It's indeed disheartening when art, which is meant to transcend boundaries and bring people together, becomes a ground for religious or other forms of discrimination. Art and culture should ideally serve as bridges between different communities, fostering understanding and unity. When artists or anyone involved in the arts refuses to engage or recognize others based on religious differences, it undermines the universal spirit of art.
