How many people needed to hear this stuff. This is golden advice. As long as your content is good the right people will stay

I always thought that if I posted my music as much as I'd want to on social people would definitely get burned out and turned off, but if you don't do it enough everyone forgets about you. It's a tough balancing act.

WillL I think there's so many people in existence even if you're limited to the internet, you can never "post too much," but it has to be quality and has to reach the right people, that's the challenge right now

Document and audit your hours and post based on what you are doing. If you are working towards your goals, it will be easy to document. People are too caught up with doing things that don't add that extra value. So they feel they have no content and assume they are promoting by repeating content.

Gary, When posting to different social outlets, should the content all be different or can some of it be the same? ( for example, can my facebook and insta post be the same photo? ) What do you recommend?

  • @AlexCio
    @AlexCio 6 років тому +2

You can do social media forever....
And if you‘re not working on another post you‘re optimizing the differen channels or might work on collecting footage, meeting new people and this way creating new collabos like gary said it.
The more people can see from you, and the realer you are, the more collabos you can get! :)

But people don't like to see toooo much of you and not little of you so the best thing is to find that thin line between to much and too little and for me it's once per day.

Posting the link on fb 20x a day and tagging a bunch of your friends, yes bad spammy marketing.
But sharing other people's music and commenting and engaging on that particular platform is great.
Posting natively uploaded fb videos of your music and sharing content to your targeted audience 4x a day though is great marketing.
It's all very platform based. Your Facebook audience probably doesn't want to leave Facebook to listen to your music and vice versa, same with UA-cam.

    I have zero overheads . . . am I doing something wrong? #askgaryvee
I have never claimed to be an entrepreneur, however I do have entrepreneurial tenancies.
I have started a side project for the evenings and weekends when I return from my day job in ecommerce. I am learning to program and I find having a real project to work on helps with picking up new coding skills as I have somewhere to immediatly apply them.
The website is about my home town (news, events, what's on, weather etc . . . ) of Chester in the UK.
As well as develop my coding skills, a secondary goal is to maximize the amount of organic traffic I can generate through SEO, and also attract visitors from social media using content marketing.
I haven't monetised the site at all yet, but I do have some ideas for the future. Currently there are no charges for listing events, guest blogging or receiving shout outs to the sites social media followers.
As it is still early days I am just trying to create as much buzz as I can, drive traffic back to the site from social media & google and essentially create a recognisable brand that offers real valuable content.
I have started to reach out to other Chester accounts, events, businesses etc to see if the project can help them in any way. Various local individuals and and organizations have been in touch saying they plan to submit guest blogs soon.
I'm just at the building relationships stage, where they are free to use the platform for things like promotion.
Other than the price of a domain name (£0.99 for 1st year and £12.99 for future years), and the price of a cake when attending a local business opening to network, I haven't spent any other money. Am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong?
I find it hard to believe no other costs are involved.
My hosting is free as I do it through google appspot. I am aware that this won't scale for free, and when I have a huge amount of traffic I will incur hosting fees from one provider or another.
I also know that I could speed up the process with paid advertising, but doing it organically is part of the challenge for me. I am in no rush.
I have Google Analytics integrated into the site so I can monitor traffic. I enjoy seeing the spikes when new content is published and promoted and seeing the daily number of visitors steadily increase.
The Twitter account has attracted over 3,400 followers since April and the Instagram 1,000 followers in the last couple of months.
Will I continue to see this level of growth without further investment of money? What are my future expenses likely to be?
Thanks for reading . . . I look forward to your thoughts, advice and suggestions in the comments below.
    Chris.

Real talk, it's about creating an environment where people get to decided about your content. If it's relevant to them, they'll stay or go deeper with you, if not..then it narrows your tribe down to those who will vibe with you.

To motivate yourself what I do is to just think about the end, I study this shit because when I will have to choose a University Degree to study I want to be able to choose. And not have to choose a degree I kind of like on work as that for all my life because I didnt study.

Rihards Bereza you can not just focus on one platform. You also need other platforms like twitter, Insta and if you should do different things that represent your thoughts and ideas they will all bring more people to your channel.

    • @AlexCio

I don't put too much focus on what doesn't work.
I have one link on my profile that I can link to my channel or to my website that will also link back to my channel. Instagram isn't working like twitter or other platforms, it is focused on images and people use it different. Try to find a concept for your instagram, be unique and do not just use the same images from other platforms, do it the instagram way. If somebody is interested in your person because your images show something interesting they will also visit the link in the description.

listen, 21st century is going to be based on how much knowledge you have. If u dont go to college, you will lose in depth pieces of information. This would lead you and your mom in an extremely difficult situation because your mom took loan. You have to do college not just to take your mom and your self out of this loan situation but about your survival. I am telling you, dont miss college. If u miss, college, you are done, you dont understand how the world works at this point of your life. Believe me, what your mom did for you is the best thing she could do for you. You will make your life easy once u get through college. Remember one thing, in 21st century, your marks, grades are every thing. Dont listen to these people on you tube who keep saying the college sucks, who knows if they themselves graduated from college and are living awesome lives. College is a very important part of your life. PLZ dont miss it. Give it your best. Only with good marks, grades in college can save you and give u a good job which can take you out of the loan situation.

Even if you start now and finish college you'll be super young as all hell at 22 or 23. You'll have a degree so you can secure a job if all else fails. It's like a safety net. Or you can do college and whatever else you want at the same time, or nothing at all it's really up to you
