    I love how blunt Gary is. This the type of advice all youngsters need because everyone is in a rush to say “hey look at me n my fancy life” ! It’s the process that’s the beauty

    This call is everything. As a young 25yo, I hear myself in her. I've been addicted to these calls today calling me on my shit how we think we are supposed to make it right away and that we deserve it! I've hustled for the wrong reasons and burned out; trying to reignite and be fired up for the long haul. I've never been afraid of work, but after my first try not resulting how I'd like I've been spinning my wheels afraid to make decisions. Thanks Gary for always shooting it straight but also listening to those pregnant pauses and addressing that last bit of resistance. It's in the past. Looking forward to the next steps

      Jackie Wright I'm am entrepreneur for more than 20 years and I love this segment because every word Gary said to her is true. I would also add to it and say to the girl in this video and to you Jackie... what is your passion? When you know you passion you build the biz around it.

    • @jackiewright5192
      @jackiewright5192 6 років тому

      Mary Shores I've been working with a wonderful life coach and digging deep on my own to rediscover my actual passions and intentions rather than falling in line. If your question wasn't rhetorical, I'm currently pursuing building a business in providing meals for those who don't have the energy or are confused by specialty diets they take on. Going back to school for counseling (very different things, I know) and I've got a couple game plans in the works post grad as far as that goes. Bottom line is I want to be constantly creating and building.
      What has been your experience this far? Would love to hear :)

      When i was little, I thought everyone got married by 25 & owned a house and started a family
      My mother had me at 30 & I thought that was older than most
      I'm now 25 and Soooooooo not even close to any of that & seeing ppl my age that actually did start a family now weirds me out because there's so much I'd rather accomplish first & being financially stable (at minimum) is really necessary

      I agree! Everyone in society loves to brag about how fast they can move. The problem is that short-term success does not necessarily lead to long-term successes. Must find the right balance between the two.

    I had a fucking emotional break down during this video. 33 fucking years old, I pride myself on my common sense and intuition, and I've been hiding from the truth for 20 years. I've been watching people, jealously, have these beautiful lives that I don't want. I don't want that. I never have. A simple life on a boat is all I ever wanted. So why am I so fucking jelous of their things? It's because it seems to make them happy. I'm never gong to have my dream if I keep chasing theirs, and barely keeping my head afloat. Most of its fake as fuck anyway. Sometimes it's hard to see the truth, and easy to be lazy.

    The realness of being 30 and realizing that was the source of my defeated feeling - like you said - wishing , hoping and thinking it’ll happen much sooner when I was younger ; I had the hunger and drive but listening to other people about what my timeline or journey should look like was discouraging . I promise to make a change and start loving the journey more , even my downtime’s shaped so much of me . No more allowing it to discourage me but push me to have the life story of my dreams . Thank you for you bluntness !

    I agree 100% and I am gonna do more. People ask why I don’t drink or do drugs it’s because it’s a distraction to my goals and sometimes people laugh or question me. In lots of aspects I’ve given up a lot going into my 20s (I’m 21) but there’s still more I can delete from my life. It’s just hard knowing what balance to have or how hard do I go and not get completely burnt out. What do you recommend doing at my age to get myself to buckle down and hustle.

    Love the subtle "subscribe" pillow in the background 😄

    This is amazing advice! Love how Gary has this "no bullshit" filter. It's the authenticity of what he says and how he says it that I think really seems to resonate with people. Ironically, in a world full of fakeness, authenticity and genuiness still has the most profound impact. It has for me. Thanks Gary!

    It's the first-ever comment of mine on youtube.
    His video compelled me to comment.
    And that's huge man.
    (P.S: Awesome is a small word to describe his video)
