My mechanic just had to replace one of my knuckles because it and the rotor had become one :-) I had no idea what a knuckle was but now I do :-) Nova Scotia weather is brutal on cars.
@@kaimanson3174 .. The other tip is to loosen the suspension a arm bolt. Most of the resistance you see trying to get out the strut is from the rubber bushing. It stores a surprising amount of torque that fights the arm dropping.

Loosen the strut top mount bolts. Goes a little easiert that way.

"Just get a shop to do it" is probably the easiest and cheapest way for someone who doesn't own a press, yeah...
True, but I had to pay my dues. LoL. Love to work on my cars, knowing that I'm at least fixing something + labor sometimes can add up.

Correct, It is not required for the removal or installation but in my case it was to have extra space to move things around. 👍
