Progreso, Mexico cruise port on Carnival Breeze 02/12-02/17/24

My family and I took the free shuttle bus into the city of Progreso from the cruise port and this is how our experience went. It's very interesting. The people were all very nice and not as pushy as in some other places we've traveled to. The city is quite beautiful in its own rustic way. We will definitely come back again and explore more of the city.

Fantastic Video!!! I'll be cruising to that port in June. What do you need to take with you when you get off the ship and to return to the ship?

Yes, the kids get their own cards and do not need additional forms of ID with them when accompanied by parents off shore. So you don’t need to bring their passports or birth certificates with you ashore. 😊

We took our drivers licenses, ship card, beach towels and some cash. That’s about all we really needed. It’s less developed than other Mexican ports so many vendors do not take cards. Some take pesos but will gladly take dollars just download the currency conversion app ahead of time so you can make sure you’re paying a correct rate. We hope you have an amazing time there! The weather should for sure be a lot warmer for the beach!

How about for the kids?? Do they get their own ship card since they dont have ids yet?
