WHY IS PROGRESO SO UNPOPULAR Amongst Cruisers, Lots You Can Do Here!

- Today we are in Progreso Mexico courtesy of the carnival breeze we enjoyed our time here and did a little shopping and took a tour around the city on board a open top tour bus, visited some historic sites and learned a lot about the local culture. later back on board the ship we had dinner at the main dining room and also tried out the buffet and guy's burgers and ended the night with a show in the main theater and a glo party on the lido deck
The last time I got off the ship and went into town was 14 years ago. There wasn't much to do there then. They dropped you off at the town square on the side of the street and had a flea market type atmosphere. We walked about 3 blocks and came back. I am leaving for progress in 3 weeks and getting off the ship. They have put some time & money into making this port better. I am ready to see the improvements. great video!
Some people travel the world to be dazzled. For them, its not about learning about our world. They treat everything like a theme park...a zoo...like its only there for their amusement.

Well...who go for the illusion rather than the culture I suppose it can be a bit disappointing.
They should probably stick to the private islands if they don't care about the actual culture of the countries they visit.
Its like going for a nature walk and getting upset to discover bears do indeed crap in the woods. ;)

There's a restaurant called Barlovento on the way to the free beach that had the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had and I've been to Mexican on multiple cruises.

We been there 3 times. Fist time we went to Chichen Itza. After that. We just went in to town. And enjoyed ourselves.
Ok cool some people treat this Port like its absolutely nothing to do there and that's what I was thinking but this Port of call is not that bad!
