Look at what psa has done the past couple years and they STILL outsell every gemmed slab (except bgs pristine of course) I don't understand why collectors still mess with them. At some point, like it's happening with Geoff, they'll loose their credibility and top spot, but I feel for the people who will be totally screwed when they find out their oc gem is really an 8.5 anywhere else

Back when I gambled stupidly on a break here or there I bought a couple breaks for my PC teams with Two Bros. They were typical Minnesota nice folks, but as the scene dies down and people go back to living lives, I get why they likely began falling behind on bills. No tears shed here though, especially with how poorly they seemingly handled the demise.

2Bros had a huge presence in a suburban mall that required a storefront, PLUS an entirely different space in the mall to house shipping and breaking that featured blacked out doors and windows, plus lots of security. Given that they also sold licensed gear and jerseys like a Dick's sporting goods, Im kinda shocked that they just bailed. Ill have to go down there today and see whats up. Their store was HUGE and really nice. Interesting development.

Geoff’s biggest mistake was advertising cards as an investment. They were never meant to be. I hope his store is a success. We need more Burbank-like stores.
In regards to buying and selling. Picking up a bunch of Pokémon e-reader cards, early 2000’s chrome refractors, and PC stuff.

Agreed. Investing in cards is one of the worst ways to make money in sports cards. Although I can see why so many got sucked in during 20/20.
Ive ordered a few cards here and there from 2bros, they were always pretty decent value if you ordered cheaper cards in bulk. Usually overpriced on anything decent. I live about 25 minutes from their mall location but was surprised to hear it is closed, they actually had a couple spaces in that mall, one area seemed to be for the ebay business and was just office space. Prices in the mall store were jacked so I never bought anything there.

If breakers like Backyard are getting a good amount of the "rare" hits, why buy hobby or retail? If you already know the good cards are going to the breakers save your money.
My most recent card was a well centered 1957 Frank Robinson in a 6. Today I got back four Game 7 Oakland A's ticket stubs signed by Rollie Fingers from PSA. Stoked about those. Doing a little bit of TTM autos too. Those are nothing major, but still a fun and cheap way to enjoy cards.
2bros was selling cards at .99 free shipping on eBay. So they are losing money nearly every card they sell.

After flipping enough cards I was finally able to buy a 1998 Topps Chrome Refractor Peyton Manning PSA 9 and cross that off my PC chase list. Very happy about that!
That is a great set! Topps and bowman chrome were great that year. I still remember pulling a brian griese from 98 bowman chrome. It was a huge pull at the time.
The difference is watching the break. if you like the on-air talent, then you may accept to pay a little more. Also, the speed at which the shipping happens and the shipping practices. Also, you may break with someone since you can get your PYT team you like often at a certain price or just have it available. You may also like a breaker because of the product they are bust or the format they bust it in. . I get where you are going through. Breakers provide the same service. It is like waiters at a restaurant or a certain franchise location, you get the same food and drinks, but how you serve it matters, maybe whats available, and how long it takes to get it.
You're right. Some breakers shop all cards immediately next day and use new top loaders for many cards. Other are chincy and only ship once a week or ship only when you have a hit or only ship hits and barely use top loaders and penny sleeves. There can be many quality differences between breakers.
Who gets better hits in loaded boxes, CardCollector2, aka Home Alone reaction, or Backdoor Breaks, that’s a Tesla???????

Bro! I’m dying here. I had 3 orders with 2bros in December. Accidentally because their store name was different than it showed up in the purchasing screen. I called ebay a week ago and spoke to them for an hour about how I had 3 orders which had not shipped and how it was criminal to keep my money and not ship the product nor communicate. I told them they had hundreds of negative feedback for that month and why were they allowed to do this. Did I get them shut down? 😂😂. Oh, that’s right…they closed because we bought cards, and then they failed to ship them. Took me over 20 days with each purchase to get my money back.

Yep I said the same thing. Geoff and his “business partners” bought $100k collection about a month ago and said they will price the cards and put them out for their grand opening 😂🤣. So buy cards at December comps and hope people will buy them in late January/February. Terrible business model

I was a part of that 2bros card thing. I bought a cam smith mojo /25 prom prizm draft from them, I sent an offer, they accepted immediately. Them Then the card never said shipped, I reached out over and over and got ghosted. I got my money back through eBay, but the crazy thing is. The card just showed up at my house shipped through a different service than eBay. Idk if something happened and they’re going back and making stuff right for the people or what. Or if they’re scared of eBay coming after them. It’s very strange. I’ve already bought another copy of the card, guess I have two now. But what do I do? Try to reach out and make the transaction whole again? Or just let it be. It’s been almost a month since I placed the first order.

The 2bros situation is terrible. I bought a bunch of cards two weeks ago and about a week in they still werent shipped so i inquired what was going on and i got a reply back that said " we are really backed up and out warehouse is under sever delays" its been two weeks now and i havent received anything. I just notified ebay i want my refund. Crazy timing

They could have easily put their store in “vacation mode” until they were caught up. I believe eBay allows for at least 2 weeks for a store to be in vacation mode. So there is probably more to the story on why they are backed up

I don't know if he sold those cards he was telling people to buy which were mass for produced with the PSA 10s on the base cards. If that was the case in the stock market that's called front running. I have no idea if he did or he didn't. There is no oversight in the card market. .
You can make a lot of money in the card market You just have to do your homework and establish the patterns before other people. Luckk also helps if you're doing breaks which is like chasing the lotto. I did happen to see some people hit big. Congrats on there success. I just don't see it as a smart business model unless you have money to burn
buying selling my nhl mostly maple leafs and hofers ! made money on some on my nylander cards I got cheap his rookie year and past few summers .. he's playing well this year and just signed 9 years 11.5 mill not my fave on the team so don't mind letting him go

I am trying to get rid of a lot of lower end cards that have sat in my eBay store for almost a year. You ask what I've bought or sold, well nothing lately but sold a bunch of $1 discounted cards, waiting for my graded cards to get back. I'm probably going to run the $1 card sale for a while. My thinking is to just give an incentive to get people to my store, and hopefully that will help to sell my higher value cards and vintage items, if I can just get people to come and take a look. If I give up on that idea, I'll send all the lower end stuff to COMC. Buying, well I've been trying to do what I did with football, and that is to build a base of vintage cards, and 80's stuff, and I'll continue to also add today's Prospects along with those vintage cards. A lot of the autographed cards of prospects I'm picking up, I will get graded, along with my never-ending pile of stuff I still have already bought at home, that is also a pile of cards to get graded. Hopefully by baseball season I have a lot of this finished, because I want those prospect cards graded, so I can put them up when the player comes up to the majors. It's a major undertaking for a nurse doing this part-time, and I have so much respect for all you guys that have sold cards for a while. It's taken some work just to get where I'm at now, and I don't feel like I'm doing that well yet, and it's been a year. I like your videos. Thanks for all you do!
