My wife has a 2020 passport, and I gotta say, it's the best winter vehicle we've ever had. The all wheel drive system in the passport is quite impressive. Admittedly, the whole "off road" thing is a little lame, but these suv's are actually pretty capable with better wheels and tires. The interior is definitely dated and needs an update for sure.

I have a '22 PP TS and it is indeed the second best winter vehicle I have ever owned. My 2005 Nissan Xterra was a beast in the snow and any trail on this planet. I've yet to own anything that could out match it.

I think the interior looks just fine especially if you are using it for mostly outdoor things. You dont want a top notch classy interior on a outdoor vehicle when it will get dirty, dusty, scratched up.

JonDZ proved that these can be made just as capable as 4Runners and Jeeps. Even in its stock form it can handle stuff 95% of other SUVs and softroaders would fail miserably at. Its also based on a truck platform (the Ridgeline) unlike many SUVs which use the same platform as sedans. The Passport just needs some decent ATs and a 2 inch lift and it's ready for almost anything.

For instance, the TP comes with navigation, fog-lights, AWD, roof rails, and other features standard. Plus, the wheels on the TP widens the track of the vehicle and are better for light off roading. I test drove the Elite and Trailsport and the wheels definitely make a difference in the ride of the vehicle.

There is a reason Honda and Toyota stick with older designs. Tried-and-true RELIABILITY. New designs and modern tech are great, until you get recalls or even worse, break down. And dealer service departments these days are worse than ever. A "warranty" is only worth so much. With this Honda, you get rock solid reliability and at least it's quick, and decently efficient. The 4Runner on the other hand, although bullet-proof, is a dinosaur which is both slow and terribly inefficient. You can't have everything. I think this Honda strike a sweet spot.
