@@aaronyeverinorobles.1563 I got mine from Beyond The Box, a local retailer here in PH, but that was back in Sept 2018. I think you’d find used MacBook Airs on eBay etc.
Have you noticed the fan is loud because mine is a little annoying loud I’m not sure if it’s normal or not
@@3535hannah if your MacBook Air is running a little hot, usually the fan spins faster, hence the noise. It could also be caused by debris in the fan, which calls for cleaning the insides.
Is it quick ?
I got it for around 600 USD in 2017. It was a steal, it is still 800 in my country. It is the best laptop.

Dude, this was my daily driver for two years before jumping on to Mac Mini M1. Most definitely one of THE BEST--especially with all those useful ports right out of the box. And the keyboard--OMG, so delicious to type on for a long time. I loved that little beast! I even kinda miss it now.
I bought the same Macbook Air last year from the Apple store Refurbished section. I love it. I'm a student and this does everything I need. I love having all the ports, better keyboard, magsafe and the glowing apple logo.
How much did it cost? Mine I got new and it's cost was more than 900usd and it's giving me problems now.
@@alostunicorn It was about a little over $1,100 that was with apple care included. I'm not a student anymore but still use this as my daily driver for other things
@@Sailor_emme I've bought it in 2019 and till now I've got it's screen replaced and now they said its mother board has been corroded apparently because of humidity. They are charging me about 400usd for replacing the board. I don't think it's worth to spend any more penny on it and moreover it's service centre is in another city. Excuse me for ranting about it though...anyways thanks for listening.
@@alostunicorn That's insand and must be so frustrating it would cost that much maybe see if you can book an appointment with Apple I got my screen replaced and one of the USB ports stopped working I wasn't sure even with apple care how much it would cost went prepared tho I dropped the laptop off and paid nothing. Same thing with my iPad the speakers stopped working and my screen was trying to come apart Apple replaced it for me no issues

I bought in 2017 that MacBook and it served amazingly since then. I intensivepy used it for school and for video editing. I managed to make 4k 60fps ASMR videos but now the fan is full of dust and I only make 1080p tech videos on this channel and even with many effects it does the job. I even dropped it twice and nothing happened. It’s an amazing machine even thought it a bit outdated
can we download microsoft on it ?

That intro and outro were really good, voiceover quality increased quite a bit, background music is waaay better than the other music, overall your video quality increased a lot, this video makes me want to stay subscribed to watch the next video, good job 👍

I own this MacBook Air , excellent computer, I also got an external SSD for it for more storage
You can install an internal ssd in it. I changed my 128 to a 1tb…. Easy to do. And you don’t have to carry external storage.

I’m looking at picking a 2017 up a little under $400. The only thing that makes me sad is the display is so old same display they used back in 2010. I would get the MacBook retina 12 inch but there aren’t as many out there available they cost a little bit more and they seem to have a few problems of their own one being expensive and complicated battery replacement.. so I figured it might be safer just to go with a 2017 MacBook. Hopefully I receive a good one.

Got it for around 40k inr in 2017 which is about 540$.
Now it’s 2020, and it goes for around 80k inr which translates to 1000$

The both laptops that i have is the macbook air 2017 and the macbook 12 inch 2015 the 2017 is so comfortable to type on while it is so hard to type on the 12 inch macbook

I'm sure you found out by now, but yes. This is the last year (2017) when the Macs had the illuminated logo.
I bought my almost 4 years ago. It still works no problem. I do have a little bit a problem when the plug fall off the laptop would turn off when it is not plug in. I’m not sure is something loose or the battery. I recently updated it today late morning. To do loved the new screen with pinks and purples. At least my screen saver is a picture that was saved from my iPhone is still on. I do have a battery for it that I was going to replace the battery from my mother’s old iMac Air 11 inch screen. I think that she got it in 2011. I did inherited it but, it swelled up a little bit and the O key does not work. I put it in a box the my iMac Air came in.
and the screen doesn't randomly crack like the M1 MBA

Apple doesn’t necessarily want their customers to be happy, they mostly want us to fork over the dough... having said so, this thing is awesome, and except for the display it’s really good. Keyboard is great, the trackpad is amazing, and that magsafe charging port is the best charging port ever. I’d take an bad screen and a good keyboard over a good screen and a bad screen any day of the week, and i’m actually planning to buy a 2016 version in 2021. My ipad 2 is worn out and i want a replacement.

I just ordered a refurbished 2017 13" on Amazon for about $230, I have a gaming pc I just wanted something to sync my iPod (yes i still use my iPod i'm a weirdo) and do other things that would usually require me to get up and walk over to my desktop for.

This laptop is a great option for school! It will last you for 4-5 years since this laptop is only 3 years old. You also have the option of getting very decent specs for a great price! And since this MacBook has great build quality, it'll stand up to whatever you put the laptop through.

Yes the 2017 MacBook Air will run those programs great. Although I would look for a retina MacBook Pro from 2013-15 since they have a better display, the same price, and very similar speeds.

Lol. I randomly search this cause this is my macbook. Go buy SD card + the special adapter for micro sd that hides when you insert it. Upgradeable up to 256gb.
