    Made this bread today, didn't have sugar so used honey. Man it turned out so soft and delicious. I baked it with a foil cover so the crust would be softer. Also final proof ended up being 45 minutes instead of 30 , got distracted. Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe.

    You should post the recipe & ingredients. Also should have sliced bread on the camera to show viewers how soft bread was, we wait for to see final outcome. I know this was done awhile ago, but please consider some of my suggestions for future videos. Thanks & God bless ❤️😊🙏🏾

      I fully agree with you as I need to add this to my recipe file and she has no written recipe at all which makes it harder for me now because I have to watch the video again and try to little by little right down all of the freaking ingredients. Plus you're right, the bread should have been sliced.

    Now we made a Bannock. Tear it apart and smother it with butter when it’s hot out of the oven. It’s good enough to make a meal out of it.

    Hey I'm gonna make it today I've already tried several different recipes and they all turn out to be moist in the inside and the crust gets overcooked. Let's hope for the best and hopefully I'll make it Today! 🤞I'll tell you how it turned out later.

    My loaf turned out great. Thank you!! I didn't have enought whole wheat flour so used regular and was fine. It tasted a wee bit bland, I wonder if that's because of the white flour? Can I add anything else to this recipe?

  • @iamwhatiam4075
    @iamwhatiam4075 2 роки тому +1

    Love the heavier denser bread. So much easier to slice & use , my fav. Hard to find recipies that are this type. All say light & fluffy, which tastes good but try spreading peanutbutter on there. Lol.
    Also, my oven kind of sucks, so my son gave me a bread machine, just figuring it out. Think this would work there? What setting, if so, seems one has little rise time , other has lots of kneading + varying rise times? (again, very new to machines.. lol) Tyfs!

    Although the recipe looks fairly simple and I most likely will try this I want to make something clear here. What you were doing with your hands to the dough is kneading the dough. There may not be as much as in other bread recipes but that is a simpler form of kneading.

    Hello! Thanks for this-it looks easy and healthy. I’m wondering if you grease the pan with anything? In the video, it looks like you did not. But maybe your pan is nonstick-coated? The loaf pans I’ve been using lately are glass-does that make any difference? If I’m missing something obvious, my apologies. Thanks again!

    Hey. I found your channel a few days ago. I have already baked two loaves of this bread and have a loaf in the oven right now. I love this recipe. My question for you is, can you easily freeze a loaf. I live in a rural area in the mountains of Tennessee and have a propane cook stove in oven. The cost of propane has gone higher than the Smoky mountains here. And if I could set myself up to do three or four loaves at a time it would sure save a lot of energy to bake all of them at the same time. Any suggestions would help.. I am a senior living alone now on my little mountain homestead and farm. It would sure help if they could be frozen easily and still come out good. I love your channel and look forward to watching more. Please you and your family stay safe and healthy. Love and peace to you all. (Chiefonelung)

      Many say you can freeze it, easiest way is to slice , then freeze. Ejther in stacks of 2-4 , thaw and use, or some put paper in between each piece. I would to the stack thing, personally.

      The bread is heavier because of the whole grain but it is not dry. it is very good. You can use your yeast it will work the same.

    2 Teaspoons of Yeast for 4 cups of flour? Really? Isn’t that a lot????
    Actually I tried a bread recipe which called for 3.5cups flour and 1/4tsp yeast. I couldn’t control myself and put 1/2tsp instead. I let the dough proof overnight as said and the final bread smelled crazy like yeast and didn’t even cook well. Im worried if this recipe will actually work 😭
