Thank you for showing the stage where the dough is pulling away from the bowl. I think I have been leaving my dough in the mixer too long because I thought the pulling away stage meant it had to be 95% pulled away from the entire bowl. Most people don’t show that step, so thank you.
My Mom would always thump the bread to make sure it was done! ☺️ I miss her. She always used aluminum pans as that is how her mother did it! I need to try this. Not sure which type of pan I will use. Thanks Deb! From another Debbie❤️
@@sarahtheresa80 It shouldn't affect the texture, however the yeast needs a little sweetener of some kind to feed on. You COULD eliminate the sweetener entirely but it would take significantly longer to rise. Or just use a Tbsp. or so to feed the yeast and it shouldn't flavor the bread much.
Hi Deb, thanks - great video, nice and simple; quick query - what is the effect of removing, or reducing the sugar (say by half or more) do you know? Will it interfere with the yeast action? Thanks again!
Reducing it by half shouldn't affect the yeast action but it will affect the flavor, giving you a less flavorful loaf. It still shouldn't be bland though. Give it a try! Just make sure you use at least a Tablespoon to give the yeast a boost.
You're very welcome for the recipe! Hmmm....I am wearing a dress in this video. I'm not sure which shirt you are talking about? I likely got it from a thrift store. I don't think I own any shirts from anywhere else! 😄
We eat it pretty fast so I honestly don't know. I would think at least a week since it keeps almost a week on the countertop unless it's really hot and humid.
HI....what great looking bread, Deb! May I ask what size your glass breadpans are?...and do you prefer glass to metal? Thank you for your kind reply! 🌻🌻
Hello and thank you! My bread pans are Pyrex brand an the dimensions are 8.5 x 4.5. I have pretty much always used glass because it's what my mom had and I took half of her loaf pans when I got married. 😄 So I don't have a ton of experience with different materials in bread pans. I do want to get a Pullman loaf pan sometime though!
@@pollysbraves I usually do but you can use less, depending on the flavor you want. Just be sure to use at least a Tablespoon or two to feed the yeast.
Hi. I am going to try this now. BUT, it would be vert helpful if you would add "approximate times" for rising, etc. I am new to this and really need the extra info. THANKS Also.....can't you print out the recipe....I had to watch it x3 in order to be able to write everything down. THANKS AGAIN
I was hoping you would slice into one loaf so we could see the texture and density. Do you usually make 100% whole wheat bread? If you toast it does it take longer than white bread?

You're very welcome and thank you for watching!
That bread looks amazing!! I’m gonna need the recipe.😋
Thank you! The recipe is in the video. 😊
Thanks for this! Do you have to use a sweetener?? I prefer not to sweeten it at all, but will that negatively effect the texture ?

Going to try this soon
Sounds good! I hope it works well for you. I am actually making a batch right now!

@@DailyLifewithDeb oh sorry I only saw your top half and assumed but even better I love dresses, thank you.
@@christianilovegod I actually got that dress from Walmart! I don't think they have that color right now but they still have some others.
How long do these last in the fridge? :) Looks so good definitely will be making it soon!!!

If you’re using honey instead of sugar do you still use a quarter cup?

@@donnataylor4897 I'm sorry. I could have typed out the recipe in the description but didn't think of it. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
I didn't know how long should it stay sitting before it's ready for the baking pan
What's the water to whole wheat flour ratio?
It is 2 cups of water (or milk) to 6 cups of flour. It may require a little more or a little less flour, depending on the day (humidity, etc.)
I was hoping you would slice into one loaf so we could see the texture and density. Do you usually make 100% whole wheat bread? If you toast it does it take longer than white bread?
I couldn't slice these as I was baking them for someone else. I should have made an extra one to slice!
I haven't noticed that it takes any longer to toast than white bread.
Video would have been much better if you just kept on making the bread without all the extra chatter. I had to stop watching 😞
Thank you for your feedback. I understand my style is not for everyone.
