I think it’s called Grand Design. It’s on Netflix and prime (I think... as of 08/2020). The episode where they build the house in the “void space” between row homes in London is my favorite. So stressful but omg the house ends up perfect.
The small castle has a couple videos about it on youtube! Look up "small converted castle saved from ruins" and you'll find them
@Callie Perez-Bent that hexagon house, in the second floor, it's look liked that if you want to go to the right bed room, you need enter bathroom first hmm
Okay, but putting an open fireplace in a castle that burned down doesn't seem like a good idea
That One Guy In The Comment Section
In the original everything that wasn’t stone was wood, like a cigarette wrapped in rock. The rebuild is a lot different.
They are making the floor supports out of steel for one. Modern fireproofing of materials is a thing as well.

It's always respectful to sleep on top of the "stiffs" instead of beside them

I love grand designs, I used to watch it all the time with my Dad and these animations were always the best part! I actually remember a fair few of these!
As an architect I love seeing these renders, but let me tell you these things take TIME to make!
Yeah most of the episodes start of 2 to 4 years before it's aired on TV
I went to Hollywood Hills once and I wondered how how they made the hillside houses and I think the first house shows how they do it
Did I just watch all of this without skipping? 😍😍😍😍 I need more of these !

This is really calming , i just wann become an architect and rendee stuff like this
Lord Luqimano it’s pretty hard becoming an architect :/ there’s a lot more behind this animation.
You really need to give every bit of energy to study..
I myself would just be fine with these modelling and animation skills... But maybe that's just me

Truth in advertising. You were right. It was oddly satisfying watching the animations of the house designs.
Love this! This makes me want to win the lottery and build my dream house!
I prefer a compact house, living in a large house is a logistical nightmare
Yeah, lets just build on top of a historical archeology dig site, that seems totally safe from a sinkhole and respectful to the history, right? 🤔
People build on historical archaeology digsites all the time, it's how older cities work. First you dig out the pieces of pottery and then you build on top of it.
God, you would hate Rome
It's pretty common in Europe where theres "historical archeological sites" every half mile
And a recommendation out of the blue, thank you so much ;)
