love your attitude...its your radio, your responsibility. hear too many hams complaining about a radio that is for sale that doesnt block All the non ham frequencies. you studied for the amateur radio test, you passed the amateur radio test and its you who are 100% responsible for the operation of the radio, not the manufacturer. if the radio goes outside your "legal" range, then dont go to those frequencies and transmit....duh. god im a newbie and even i know that.
in an emergency, who the hell cares what frequency you use as long as you can get help.

As i recently found out. I just got my Gmrs License. Its 35.00 no test and it covers your ass for using gmrs channels over 2 watts without an actual license.
GMRS IS NOT CB RADIO.
$75 now for it
