Ive just started renovating a small stone outbuilding which will be used as a music studio. It used to be a tiny brewery for the viallge pub and was built in the 18th century and has a pair of 3m arched doors for the horses.. We're building a small glazed link from the house to the outbuilding which will require a door...hmm....this has got me thinking.
This was very fun to watch. Where did you get that lock? The fact that it uses a big key makes it all the more interesting and the door build was a pleasure to watch.
Bet that door is so incredibly heavy. THAT is what I've been trying to make for my bedroom door. IT'S BEAUTIFUL !!! How much..I'll buy it ??? 🙂 Very well done and great video editing with effects !!
Another great video Paul! Do you do any work that could be sent to you? I have a KTM head that has damaged the cam journals and wondered if you would repair it?
Very nice and exactly what I was looking for as I develop ideas for a set of double doors for my shop. Curious on your opinion on how this would stand up as an exterior door if it was sealed well. I would think some dowls or some form of strapping at the curved top and the flat bottom to keep those areas from warping would be wise?
Been researching how to build an arched door and frame and I found this video very helpful in my search, well done it looks great. What are the overall dimensions of the framework and door if you don't mind answering?
So cool! Medieval envy. Love the clover-like decorations.
Something completely different, nice!
👍💪✌
Love the Ye Olde Elizabethan Jigsaw
❤❤❤DROOL, DROOL!!!❤❤❤

Door - 1900 x 770mm
Frame - 2050 x 1000mm
The hinge should use a small bearing inside so that it is durable and moves smoothly
like they did in the 11th century?
Mamalona al1000
Where did you purchase the hinges?
see the video
@@PaulXchannel I'm sorry, I should have asked where did you get the laser cut parts that you welded to make the hinges?
from local metal production
Very nice medieval door, but far too many closeups and "special effects".
Where is the castle?
Wolfenstein ;)
