Who are the Winners of the 2024 Australian Geographic Society's Awards for Nature?

After an exciting evening celebrating the inaugural Australian Geographic Society's Awards for Nature, we are thrilled to share the 2024 winners!
The Awards for Nature provided $100,000 in tiered funding to three selected projects, as presented by actress and director Rachel Ward.
Great Barrier Reef Legacy's Forever Reef Project, Tangaroa Blue's Australian Marine Debris Initiative and PlantingSeeds' B&B Highway received grants from the Society to fund their initiatives to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, feral invasive species and pollution in Australia.
The funds that drive this program are raised through your subscription to Australian Geographic, which automatically makes you a member of the Australian Geographic Society. Thanks to your support, we will be offering continuing, financial and practical assistance to courageous changemakers who are spearheading scientifically informed, local solutions to problems that tackle climate change, biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, feral invasive species and pollution.
