I did the same thing, removed the magna flow mufflers and reinstalled the stock mufflers. Now I can talk to people that ride with me without yelling at them.
Well I am glad you made this video as I have an 05 C6 with long tube headers and has Corsa mufflers that are very loud and was thinking of the Billy Boat fusion as a way to get a quite mode for when I leave early for Autocrossing. Now I may reconsider. Thanks and keep the good videos coming.
Yeah I heard a lot of good things about them too before I bought them. Maybe on a stock setup They sound good, but as soon as you start adding headers and mid pipe hmmm nope.
Thanks for the video. I've got the stock NPP set-up with no other mods but am considering getting a B&B Fusion Bi-Modal system for a little more sound--but after watching this I'm not sure that's the way to go. Do you have an opinion of NPP vs B&B without the other mods? Thanks
Hi DK, Very informative video! So I have a question for you that I've been trying to chase down: How much louder did just adding the headers and mid-pipe (WITH the NPP) make the car both inside and outside? I'm thinking of adding headers and mid-pipe but am not a fan of excessive noise. I like the sound levels given by the NPP with stock exhaust manifold and not interested in having it too loud. Thanks! It's quite a bit more raspy and a bit louder when the valves are open. With the valves closed it's not too much different at all. It's perfect in my opinion, although I'm still Gonna do the Catted mid-pipe when it arrives as I'm smelling a lot gas fumes at a stoplight and in the drive thru
@@dksgarage6061 Tnx for the reply. I have a BTR "Stage 1" cam (221/228 .613"/.605" 112+2), factory NPP exhaust, with everything else stock at this point in time. Trying to decide whether the headers would be a good purchase or not. As you said, maybe I'm old but too much noise is not a good thing. A friend mentioned that his C6 with headers were loud and had the fumes as well. Hard to make a decision. I don't track the car...just spirited driving around town.
@@MT_53 I've had ceramic coated headers with chatted mid-pipe installed on my 2011GS. I do recommend having the catalytic converters on the mid-pipes because of the fumes from the exhaust is awful. By keeping the NPP mufflers, the sound or noise level in the cabin is not much different than before the headers. Closing the valves in the mufflers and you've got a quiet cruiser.
Do you have the link for where you purchased the tips? I'm planning on adding LTs and a catted X to my NPP and switching out for larger stainless tips as well.

Wish I could post my 12 GS with the BB npp sound. Long tube no cats xpipe. The sound is night and day. Lol
