My grandfather's Great Aunt - my family went to Vatican invited by the Pope to join him in making her a saint. She is my other grandfather's like 2nd cousin. Our family settled Germantown and created the first Catholic church in Pennsylvanian and buried there. From the Powell, Hookey, Shoemakers, Seigfried families connected to her. The Hookey family left Penn State to Augusta Georgia and built St. Patrick's Catholic cathedral. His daughter married Powells of Macon, Georgia who funded St. Joseph's Cathedral and my grandfather birthday March 3rd is her Saint day and he too helped St Peter Clavier all black catholic church there and gave homes to the blacks, helped pregnant girls by giving a house for nuns to house them and they also followed and paid for New Mexico and Sioux Catholic missions til the day he died.
@nyxnoch How wonderful to be related to such a great saint! I was reading a daily devotional for today and saw that it was St. Katherine Drexel! My memory isn’t the greatest, but by any chance do you know Cassie Drexel or David Drexel (rip)? Southern Pines/Pinehurst area of North Carolina? I thought I heard from one of my siblings (who had his wedding reception at David Drexel’s place) that they are related. I just can’t remember how. Either way, would you please ask your Grandfather’s Great Aunt St. Katherine Drexel for her intercession for me? God bless you! St. Katherine Drexel, pray for us!!!
Hello. Thank you for this. May she, and all out there, pray for us.
God bless you
St Katherine Drexel please heal us. Amen 🙏
