They don't allow you to take pictures of the artwork, but I saw paintings I have only ever seen in books, and seeing it in real life does not compare. There is truly a spiritual presence there. The chapel was just gorgeous. I'm not Orthodox, and I'm more familiar with churches in the Protestant/Catholic tradition, but the Orthodox aesthetic is also beautiful. And the bedouins I met were very interesting and friendly people! All in all, I feel very glad and very lucky that I was able to go.

He always regretted not staying to become a monk he passed away at 53 in 2021 but he never spoke about his monastic journey. I would like to visit the holy places he went . I wonder if father Justin new my brother he was intelligent and struggled with the passions ☦️ I would ask father if he could have a pannikihida in his name that would help him ☦️ God Bless my brother in Christ ☦️☦️☦️
Your brother must have known Fr. Pavlos, who was one of the elders at St Catherine at that time, and who passed to the Lord a few years ago. I went twice in the 90's and never met Fr. Justin. He came later to the monastery from America. Memory eternal to your brother's soul.... 🙏☦

The fiery bush, is this the one that has volatile oils come from it? I've seen the one I mentioned in a catalog, so am curious. What is there to the desert? Is it at night time its' qualities come out? Art Brll in the desert, a spook show host. Some like the desert, where I'm curious what's to like? Maybe that's just seeing the barren video.
Music theory is great and all, but can trap you in preset sounds especially if you over intellectualize it. That music at the beginning proves you can hop from major to mixolydian to Phrygian and still sound great.

How much time have you spent in a Muslim country? He is using the word as a conventional title, the way anyone in a Muslim country does who does not want to be the target of jihad.
