Someone asked where I got the buoy and I think they deleted the comment but its worth saying it's a polyform buoy. They come in different sizes (and colors) but here's what it is Polyform A Series Buoy a.co/d/cBZijT6
5:14, that does look like a horsefly. There are a variety of trapping methods-some use Tangle-foot or similar, along with the method shown. There are some scents that repel horseflies don't like...but trapping is good.
@@zingodingo2816 honestly, I’m not exactly sure, it traps anything and everything Last year I walked by and there was a live praying mantis inside trying to get out. I actually broke the plastic to let it out because I like those.
I can measure it tomorrow if you're interested but I eyeballed it. Maybe 36" square for the frame. And the base is around 48" high. With another 18" rise for the top part
@@zanfasoabi7628 you’re welcome. It just needs to be large and sturdy enough to hold that black buoy. Even filled with air it’s a few pounds.. even though they come in multiple s is es, the bigger it is, the more insects it will attract. Thanks again for commenting.
Yeah. It’s winter and all the flies are dead. But it totally works. Brought it inside for the winter and I’ll put it back out in the spring. Thanks for commenting

The thing catches tons of insects. Has really helped. I buy a new plastic top for about $10 each spring.
What dimensions did you use?
