Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that our body needs to function properly. It is important for making red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout our body. When we don't have enough vitamin B12, we can develop symptoms like anemia (which means we don't have enough healthy red blood cells), numbness or tingling in our hands and feet, and problems with our immune system.
It's important to get enough vitamin B12 from our diet, especially from animal-based foods, or to take supplements if we're not getting enough. We'll also discuss the importance of lab testing to diagnose vitamin B12 deficiency, as well as take a look at a few studies that suggest a potential link between B12 and certain health conditions, such as viral infections and immune system function.

Thank you Dr. Osborne for explaining why B12 is so important. I am 65 years old and critical ill from the lack of B12. I diagnosed myself with neuropathy from watching you, online doctors 3 years ago. You explain this for me to understand very well. There is a vitamin b twelve sublingual
Sublingual means under the tongue...so it can absorb into the veins under the tongue and directly into the bloodstream. Not the mucous membrane on the cheeks

Two days ago my doctor took me off of ALL B-12 that I was taking. ALL OFF. My Labs were extremely high, so the doctor called me.

Could progesterone use deplete b12?
I have neuropathy in my feet. Started in numbness in toes and now its moving into balls of feet and heels. Right foot worse. Ive been tested and my B12 is way high so my B12 isnt being absorbed. I have MTHFR so i have trouble methylating B12. So now i take non methylating B12 like Hydroxocobalamin or Adenosylcobalamin B12.
What do you think of liver pills for B12 malabsorption?

Carnivore heals
Been Carnivore 18 months and still struggling to heal, still suffering from malabsorbtion of fats and proteins
Look into Rupa Health H.pylori
I did carnivore too and it did not fix my issues, only after taking birch tar thru a naturopath to kill overgrowth of this bacteria. When we are stressed our HLC reduces and h.pylori goes rampant- symptoms are so many that I basically believe we all have it (we do anyway), but too many cause havoc.
Next I would cleanse your blood. Using root herbs.

Low HCL (hydrochloric acid) stomach acid is created when we are stressed. H.pylori thrive in low HCL environment. So if you don’t have enough HCL (stress and overgrowth of h.pylori) you won’t be absorbing nutrients incl Vitb12
It will also help to get a lactose free probiotic to increase good bacteria (Metagenics do one LGG).
Not medical advise.
There is antibiotic therapy’s for h.pylori - do your homework on it all, it’s really important to understand it all first, I’ve seen people go on antibiotics and not get long term results.
Hi doc what dosage of b12 should I take for low platelet count
I'm taking 10,000mcg B12, 1000-1600 mcg Methylfolate and 36 mg Chelated Iron daily.
Are eggs considered dairy?
Does it come from a teat? No. So no.
