Fun video. That police car is really something.
You remind me of me.... I started using a leaf blower at work as a custodian, the rest of them thought I was crazy, but my area was always the cleanest I like that Dubwork dude too. He's real.
L380 Turkis is a stunning colour. Love it!
6:00 Jason's Funny bone moment! 🥴😵💫😖😖😖 Seriously... NICE work on the '62 dub's finish. Gotta love the older single stage paint - you couldn't even think of trying to restore the paint if it was the newer crappy clearcoat over water-based paint (I DESPISE that stuff!).
haha, thank you, I sold this 62 before winter and it is now back on the road and looks AWESOME. Look for an clip of it at the dust off show with it's new owner soon.
Definitely original paint. How many times did I see this color as a kid and punch my brother’s arm with a “slug bug light blue” 💥pop💥.
That paint really cleaned up nice!Eagle one!! 💪🏻 Oh man I’m lovin that Adam 12 car!! That’s awesome!!
Watching your videos to help with my Resto 👍🏼
Fun video as always ! Nice to see Dubworks show up unannounced
When I was a kid in Upstate NY my uncle had a Karmann Ghia that had that patina. I hand rubbed that car with rubbing compound for hours. Lots of rags….but that paint shined
Now we see what happens when Dubwerks is left alone! That 69 looks amazing!
Hi from Argentina! What model is that 69? We had the equivalent here in Argentina, it was named Dodge Coronado, but it had different grill and two square headlights instead of four round ones.
Busted by Dub Wurk's Funny!!!; ) Nice work on the Adam 12
that car gives a whole new meaning to "it will buff rite out" lol cool vid!!
thank you JG1
Love the way you go about getting cars back, first things first, get them clean and then get them running. A nice car and will be good to see it’s first start.
I love those early American police cars.
You are a very brave man for taking that on
Keep the original paint, man
Particularly given the great condition of it and the patina (and of course, the elbow grease you provided) ... looks way cool
1 ADAM 12 1 ADAM 12.....OMG what a flashback. that is really cool. I totally remember watching that show.
Paint will come up nice ,great patina.Dubwerks police car awesome
Definitely Original Turkis Paintwork
Good job, Jay!
This is another very interesting video. Thank you!
Excellent video Jason :) yes Turoiquis color Volkswagen need some work on 1962 and Dubs Work cop car very nice too !
We used to wash these old solid color nonmetallic paints with soap, water, and Ajax. The Ajax/Comet has a mild grit that acts like a compound and helps get all the dirt out of light colored paints.
Adam 12 was a great show, I watch it on me-tv weekday afternoons. Love to see all the classic cars in the background when they’re cruising around! Tons of vw’s
Great videos! I'm in mass currently bringing a 66 bug back to life 🙃
Paint came up really nice. That Plymouth is really cool, sounds great too.
we thank you GT
“Floors? Where we’re going we don’t need floors!”😎
Weren't floors an option on Beetles?
Another sweet rescue! And that awesome 52 in the background ! What more could a guy ask for?
Very good on the paint restoration! The car 54 ... he's your friend.🙂 sorry I'm an old grouch. Have fun!
up
Reed and Malloy ! LOL!
such a pretty shade of blue.......
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
really like that color...thanks for the rust removal tips👍
Great work! I use magic erasers on single stage original paint. It’s slightly abrasive and cuts through a lot.
we thank you for tip👍
😍 Love that color Jason.
me too😁
Another awesome video. God Bless y'all
Sweet action with the CLR. Always a great watch. Keep em coming.
That paint turned out better than I thought it would good job nice seeing your kid the star of the show. And sometimes you do have to push cars it's no big deal brother thanks for the video on a Monday what's wrong with you great entertaining

I can’t stress enough, how badly I want to find a bug like this in the wild! I have my Westy which I love, but I want a bug so bad! This is awesome. Pre 67s are definitely my favorite, love those headlights. Thanks for the content Jason, awesome as always!
I found a 71’ in relatively good shape, paid the owner 2,800!
@@cuttaill super beetle?
@@gertraba4484 yep, early super beetle
1 Adam 12, 1 Adam 12. A two eleven in progress....handle code two. What planet have you lived on where they didn't show that TV show??? I am so old...I bought a 1962 VW beetle like yours with a folding sunroof for 625 dollars and drove it home. Nice job polishing the original paint!!
First Watch on your channel, Love it! I also use the ghost buster machine to clean out my bus after a long weekend. The paint on the 62 is amazing, That's going to make a real nice car. Off to the 58 rag Vid... Peace brother! - Larry
hi Larry, thank you for checking out the vids and the kind words, I appreciate it .
Don't know if you have ever tried this before, Ajax powder in a can, much like Comet but better! Use a good carwash sponge and plenty of water.. Will make old paint look damn nice!!
I admire your dedication!
thank you Thomas !
Wow Jason the blue looks amazing 😍
it is a cool color, thank you
Really nice, I love that color, looks great
thank you Herby , me too
Nice work Jason. Dub , that's fantastic.
thank you SR , step one , just getting it clean
This was a cool video for me. First, I had a 63 ragtop in that color. Her name was Erma, and she was a sweetheart! Second, growing up I was a big Adam 12 fan! They changed models often in the show but the 69 was my favorite. Thanks for bringing back some good memories!
Love your videos , these ones are so fun to watch aswell nice scores
thank you, much appreciated
What a difference !
Great vide mate
thank you Mr M
very niece color and a good job👍
thank you IB
I've been really enjoying your videos, I only see you going and buying cars and maybe doing a little buffing and getting the engine first run ready. what do you do with your vehicles? Do you restore them yourself if so it'd be nice to see some of the restoration videos and some of the completed projects
He fixes up some of the cars. I think hes just addicted to the hunt and rescue part. You want to save all of them, if their worth it or not. Ive seen him sale a couple of them. And will it run videos always do good for the views. Stick around man he comes across some really cool cars
Your wife has to be a Saint!
Definitely dating myself but Adam 12 and Rescue 51 were my favorite shows when I was little. I think they were into the reruns by the time I was paying attention though.
Who could forget the pine cone beetle?!? 😂
I used to have one of those '69 Plymouths. Mine was a four-door Satellite painted Saddle Bronze with a tan vinyl top. It had every feature you could get on that model in '69. Great highway cruiser.
Nice, this one is the bronze too
That paint is coming back nicely. The HF tool lines are well represented. Same at my house. The police cruiser is amazing in it's transformation! I remember when Adam 12 first came on. And Batman. Watched Howdy Doody live and Micky Mouse club. I'll just go gum some oatmeal now and watch wheel of fortune.
Love your t-shirt
thank you Bruce
The paint is coming up quite nicely, I think it is original too. When I saw Robbie with that car in gold I thought he bought it just as a runaround but no he has done a great job on it. Don't remember us getting that show here (UK), we had Batman but not that. Anyway well done to you and Robbie. Oh yeah you reminded me of the Flintstones with that VW we had that show here.😂👍
Not surprised that you got some shine back to it, VW didn't cheap out on their paint. I bought a 65 when I lived in Dallas and it shined up nice with only a couple of light areas, which is understandable in the Texas sun.
You struck it lucky again.
:))
Looks original
Muito bom!!! Parabéns!!! Ainda bem que existem pessoas em todo o mundo que assim como vocês preservam a história do VW Beetle (aqui no Brasil, VW Fusca)
obrigado meu amigo, eu agradeço
Afternoon mate
Nice. Mine is a Turkis '63. RHD ;)
😂😂😂 shovelling out the interior..woh 👍🏴
that was a 1st😁
Hope you like sarcasm! cause you might want to dedicate a shovel (clean and shiny one) makes it look like it's used a lot, just for cleaning out automobiles. Keep on keeping on!
nice job.
thank you Jim
The floor pans aren’t really hard to do. It requires you to lift the body off the floorpans by taking off the nuts and screws. It will look like a go-cart without the body. If you lift the body make sure it’s propped together so it doesn’t collapse if it’s severely rusted
Turkis L380 What a great color, they should do the GTI & R in the 61-64 colors. The headlights look like the early Porsche ones, This could be a very cool sports purpose survivor
The paint came up not to bad. Shame about the floors being gone, nothing a bit of gaffer tape and cardboard can’t fix😁
a true barn find is when you clean your car with brillo pads
...and a shovel.
Don't forget the shovel...
😂 😂
Note to self: Remember to use back-blade through the rear window into the battery hole. 😀
Sweet cop car!
👍
Tomac is a beast.
✊twist it
Main Street in Manchester this year was like 100 degrees.
glad i missed it lol
👍💪💪💪
:)
How novel: "making soil in a 1962 Beetle"
Oxalic acid is the way to go to remove rust runs from paint. Use as diluted as it's still working.
It's not instant, it takes a couple of minutes but it's working with minimum damage to paint and steel. Dilute in water and add something to make it thick to not run off immediately, like corn starch or similar. Some use wallpaper glue.
Wow amazing where did you find these cars
Ha ha ha … right down the battery hole
😁
2:08 pliers spotted
What compound did you use on the buffer? It's looking great, keep up to great work!
just meguiars , thank u Rus
6:00 Jen’s favourite part of the whole video 😣
Cleaning up really well the 62 Jason, Just hope the motor is ok now.. The Pine cone Car, What ever happened to that ?
thank you ...I still have that icon :)
@@5150mxVW Be great to see it / update video on that like you say '' Icon car '' :)
What car will be Josh's first car?? Inquiring minds would like to know :)
I really don't know , In his mind the 70 440 Charger ? or the 195hp 67 Beetle ?😆
Roll the bug over a tarp for easier driveway cleanup
easier to blow it all into the woods, plus the driveway was a mess from blowing it all out ....only takes 5 minutes with the backpack blower
Try a magic eraser toooo
I wonder if will it push any easier with the sunroof open and Fred Flintstone floors?
No , too much drag with it open
Yeah, but those pine cones where some squirrels retirement fund. You wiped him/her out! 🐿
Just like Enron! 🤣😅😆
