@@luisgamarra4657 this is heavy book spoilers, but in short she and Geralt never had a relationship. Geralt slept with her once and ever since she’s essentially been begging him for more. There is one part of, I believe, Blood of Elves, where she’s sick and tries to guilt trip Geralt into having a quickie after he just helped her take a liquid shit in the woods. She does help train Ciri at Kaer Morhen for a short time, but she does nothing without wanting something in return. She schemes and plots with the Lodge, nearly causing Ciri’s capture by them and helps the Lodge capture Yennefer for a time. Only in the very last chapter of the series does she try to do something for her friends out of her own good will, but that is too late to save them. In the first two games, she willfully doesn’t help Geralt regain his memories so that she can sleep with and get in a relationship with him. Geralt only remembers Yen and Ciri because of Letho in the end, and immediately starts searching for Yen. I could go on in greater detail but at that point you could just read the books
@@Herr_Gamer I haven’t read the books. But i have played all 3 games, the reason she doesn’t help geralt gets his memories back is because she doesn’t want to influence or possibly accidentally altar geralt memories or perspectives. It wasn’t because she wanted to sleep with him, if it was then she could’ve easily shown geralt false memories. She wants him to find out about everything naturally, so he alone can make his own decisions without the influence of others. Which was of course the better choice since geralt returns to his normal self and acts like his normal.
@@Apollo-tnt on one hand I get that idea, but on the other, it doesn’t work considering how Geralt does eventually regain his memories through hearing them from others. You also cannot ignore how she saw an oportunity and went for it almost immediately at the start of Witcher 1. She would also have plenty of time during that game, in the roughly 6 months between 1 and 2 and the opening sections of 2 to at least test his memory or inform him of the very important world events he was embroiled in. She does not begin to atone untill the rose of remembrance quest, but even then she nudges you towards another romance scene as if wanting to squeeze one last round out of Geralt before he learns of his past. She even directly admits in Witcher 3 to have been manipulating him during the very first set of errands you run with her after meeting up in Novigrad. She also acts pretty childishly when asking about how Yennefer is doing and makes things pretty awkward if you don’t try to please her with your answers. That said, she does redeem herself through helping in the search for Ciri, even letting herself be tortured for it, but in my mind, the damage is done
@@Herr_Gamer There's a big difference between being told something from one person and finding/being told from multiple people and perspectives, Triss told Geralt that her telling him or using magic to learn about his past was a bad idea and Geralt didn't trying to argue against it. If Getalt wanted to take that route than he could've demanded it and Triss would've done so. Not that it would've changed anything because later on the witcher 2 Geralt does demand that she tell him everything and she does but it didn't change anything. The choice was up to Geralt not triss so i don't understand why people blame her for that. Also what do you mean by Triss saw an oportunity and went for it almost immediately at the start of Witcher 1, Geralt was the one to sleep with her when she was practically half unconscious, also Triss not wanting to talk about yen is a completely natural and normal thing to do, no one wants to talk about their ex's girlfriend/ex. Yen acts in a similar manner, always trying to guilt trip Gerlat about how he got with Triss when he lost his memory, getting rid of anything triss at kaer morhen And i also don't see an issue with Triss trying to sleep with Geralt during the rose of remembrance quest, Geralt through out the entire game reinsures Triss that even while regaining his memories their relationship wouldn't change.
If you read the books, you’ll never even consider Triss an option again fr
why?
