The emptiness you feel when you finish the game for the first time is crazy. But then you play the game again. And again. And again. And then ten more times. And the craziest thing is you still have fun and pretty much every time you play this game again you manage to find something new, like a random event, some obscure quest or a new location you've never visited. This game truly is a masterpiece
It only gets bigger and better. I was gobsmacked BEFORE I went to Skellige, before the DLC's,.. I had no idea! The scope of the world and the skill of the narative just never lets up and after 250 hours, I just wanted to somehow experience it all again.
Blood and wine could have just been a game in itself with how big the map was. That and the environment was amazing on that map and thoroughly enjoyed taking my time enjoying every side quest and main while taking in the sights and decking out the house later
@@DeadPrezident487T That's the way to do it. Just make sure you visit Skelliga before you do the following the thread quest with Lambert and visit the small Island on the bottom right of the map, on the east side of the that island you will get a quest when you approach the town gates. If you don't do this quest before doing "Following the Thread" you will fail that quest. Skelliga isa breath of fresh air after leaving Velen, very beautiful.
I had over 200 hrs in this game and never beat the main quest till this year😅 I always get side tracked doing side content and get lost. Eventually I stop playing this for a different game and start over the whole process again after few months. I cannot believe what I missed after beating the main quest. Such a beautiful story and how it was concluded.. better father daughter story than last of us for sure
Agreed, this is definitely one of those games where you yearn for a mind-wipe when you complete so you can experience it all over again. I experienced genuine sadness at/near the end and after the end of certain story arcs (visiting an empty Kaer Morhen after the main events there was super melancholic!).
Now that you're familiar with the systems, try playing on a harder setting. At that point, everything you do means something. Prepping for battle etc. You become a Witcher. I'm glad the game hit for you.
@@MeatballLiam genuinely the only way i can play it right now, just went back into it after finishing it 3 times on hard, now on deathmarch im on my second playthrough
"This game is full of surprises. You can do many different things while playing it, and the consequences of your decisions will become apparent later. The game has 3 endings. I'll reveal one of the surprises for you. It starts at the beginning of the game. If you go to the herbalist's house, you can help a sick woman. The consequences of whether you managed to help her will become clear when you reach the Nilfgaardian military camp. And when you return to that house at some point, you will see that witch hunters will want to burn the woman who lived there."
Since the first time I played in 2018, its mandatoy replay this game at least one time in a year. Just the ambientation and atmosphere of the game worth it already. But the game have the plus of giving the best quests of all time, best DLCs, best characters, and with the nextgen update, one of the best visuals of current generation, and so on. Superb game.
@@MeatballLiam ohh you will get the upgrade for them by finding their respective crafting diagrams for their upgrade just like you found the diagrams for feline set and then craft them. Although keep this set and its armor pieces because you need them to craft their higher versions. Just continue play and explore and you will eventually come across them so dont worry about it. Although I would recommend you to get wolf and Griffin set they are my personal favorite
*Get Piercing Cold as soon as possible* (I usually get it at level 11 using DEADLY PRECISION build) . IT'S JUST TOO FUN...you cause serious damage with aard now, freeze NPCs or slow them down, and many of them get TORN APART IN HALVES
@@MeatballLiam Nope, u just need to complete 'A Poet Under Pressure' quest and the contract 'Envoys, Wineboys' will appear in many notice boards across novigrad countryside. But prepare yourself before starting it. You will have 2 initial encounters that are tough: 1st, several swordsmen, and then a high level Cyclops. The swordsmen you should use bombs in general, lots of quen, and run a lil and let your 2 allies kill them slowly. The cyclops is easy, you just need to shoot him in the eye, and for that get the skill 'Lightning reflexes' that let makes time slow down when you aim your bow. After that you gain free access to roam Toussaint. Head straight to the central big city, in the main square, and a boy will handle a message to you, and reading it starts the Mutagens quest. During he mutagens quest, you will have to kill 3 high level magic panthers and 3 high level insectoids. There is a skill that gives you 6% chance of instant kill, NO MATTER THE HIGH LEVEL of the NPC. Get that, and with around 20 shots or less you always will kill them, and the skill Adrenaline Burst, that gives you adrenaline everytime u use sign, and that way you enter battle with 3 adrenaline bars. Get tricky shot too, as it lets you shoot 2 arrows in a row before reloading. Then, always just dodge and shoot arrows. That's the safer way. If u want to kill them even faster, you can use sword hits or even whirl if you get a couple of place of powers and have the extra points. The entrance to the lab has lots and lots of high value jewels, be sure to explore all around the entrance that is underwater, many people miss most of those riches, that are problably the richest small location in the game and you use them to craft runes and glyphs later. It's like 5 or 6 emeralds, another 5 rubis, amethists and so on. After that you become a demigod, and is REALLY fun to BLIZZARD NPCS and SPLIT THEM IN HALVES with that, in quantities. And the ones that aren't torn apart in two, or frozen, ar at least slowed down for a good time. And if it's a high level boss, he gets slower and slower at each Frozen aard.
