In April yes. I know this spot well and once the grass comes up thick in the summer it can be really tough fishing because they have a very short bite window they feed on. Also doesn’t help every bow fishing rig in North America goes there every night April-November.
@@zacharylemaster1996 Good to know bro. You’re right on about the bite window. All of our fish came within a 45 minute span. Then it was dead as a doornail.
Oh yeah for sure! I can’t wait to go back on a weekday when there’s way fewer people out there and crush ‘em. I’ll definitely be bringing out the popping frogs!
Whoa! That was a long drive! You know, I am not the biggest snek guy, but I really do enjoy your videos sir!! Bow fisherman hit that place hard too. That one long cut will take you back to a quarry
I appreciate that! Definitely seems like that place gets hit very hard from bows and rod and reel guys too. Seems like it still holds some big ones though!
You were up in my home port! I wish I had luck/skill like your friend to catch dragons in those grass beds. I feel like the fish are just too spread out in that endless bed and it can be a chore to move around in. The place gets really busy and pressured on the weekends too. I have found a few productive coves though. Definitely worth going here for bass (or catfish) but since you're closer to the Easter shore anyway...probably not worth it for snakes.
Yeah dude it was like a 2 hour one way trip for me. Next time I go will be on a weekday. Probably shared the water with 50+ kayakers and 50 boats that day on the weekend. It was nuts!
From what I've seen last two years of they keep going unchecked there won't be any ducks or geese with in 3 day there gone happened last two years in our area
Should I go back to this spot? 🤔

^ knows stuff. Listen to him. April and into May are great there though.

@@jeffwindsor3062 For sure. Zach definitely knows his stuff!
Dm me on Instagram and I'll take you to a great spot. As you know I caught my first there. It's loaded but you got the touch, lol.
Looked like a tough day out there, but Sidney sure hammered some nice ones, that fish at 11:00 is a beauty.
Thanks! Sidney always seems to get on 'em!
Nice Vid!
That was a good Bass and all Snakes are fun
Thanks Stu! I love ‘em all!
The grind makes success sweeter when you get the places figured out and dialed in :) those bass were a pretty good start, too!

Is this the chic ?
They are that far north now had no idea up here in Minnesota
They've been in Maryland for over 20 years now. That's where they were first introduced.
@@Orange22Fishing thanks im in Minnesota we are so cold up here all that dies i had no idea .
Where's did you launch at bro
What river is that ?
where is this spot at ?
That’s how you do it I need to get myself a kayak
Thanks man yeah for sure! Kayaks really help for snakeheads
My friend turned me on to that spot years ago. It wasn’t popular at all and we wouldn’t be the only boat back there It was even better
How heavy of line do you use and what is the line requirement for your rod?
50 pound braid, max for my rod is 65
Vid idea catch snakeheads on anything but a hollow body frog lol
Haha I do! Chatterbaits and in-line spinners work good. I’ll be using them a lot more in the fall
Seems like bro don’t wanna reveal the location. Plenty people asking and no answer. Does anyone know where this is? Is this Blackwater?
Dude why didn't you just switch to a popper also ? LOL
That’s a GREAT QUESTION. Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I edit these videos. This is one of those times 😂
@@Orange22Fishing 😆 we're all guilty of it tho 🤷🏻♂️
@@Exploremorefishing No doubt. I think sometimes when we get up super early for these fishing trips, we leave half of our brains at home in bed 😅
@@Orange22Fishing 😆
I know exactly where that is , 🤐🤫
Why did ya release
I thought you were supposed to kill them.

They're becoming less plentiful, but not for those willing to put in the effort & grind it out.
No doubt brother!
need to check laws some areas you can be fined for letting them go and they need no evidence you recorded it for them.
This is in Maryland. 100% legal to catch and release.
