BOWFIN BONANZA! Catching the Smartest Fish in the Swamp!
Bowfin are some of the coolest fish I've ever had the pleasure of catching. They fight extremely hard, they look really cool, and they are a challenge to find and catch which I love. On this warm September day in a Delaware swamp, I set out to catch more of these bowfin that seem to be biting well here in Delaware lately. I used the snakehead outlawz dragon destroyer (a fantastic bowfin lure) and let's just say I was not disappointed in the results of this Delaware bowfin fishing adventure.

I Caught a MONSTER BOWFIN! (Feat. DE Pond Hopper)
Переглядів 5583 місяці тому
On a cool September evening in Delaware, me, Matty, and Dan from DE Pond Hopper set out on our kayaks to fish for snakeheads and bowfin. The body of water that we fished has proven to be a good spot for both snakeheads and bowfin over the years, so our hopes were high for a good bite. Armed with some frogs and the snakehead outlawz dragon destroyers, I felt confident that either a snakehead or ...
Snakehead Fishing With a Beginner

Snakehead Fishing is one of the most difficult kinds of fishing to do. That being said, it is a ton of fun, and it is something that we want to share with our friends and family. For beginners, snakehead fishing can be a daunting task. In this snakehead fishing video, I took one of my beginner friends out to a great snakehead fishing spot in Delaware in hopes of helping him catch one. I shared ...
Summer Snakehead Fishing in Delaware!
Переглядів 1,1 тис.4 місяці тому
Snakehead fishing in Delaware can be tricky year round, but summer is the best time of year to catch them here in the first state. During the summer months in Delaware, snakeheads spawn and guard their babies on fry balls. During this period, they are much easier to catch than any other time of year. In Delaware, fry ball season is upon us, and my brother Matty and I set out to one of our Delaw...
Snakehead Fishing on Fry Balls! (Delaware)
Переглядів 1,2 тис.4 місяці тому
On an early Saturday morning at a Delaware swamp, I went snakehead fishing with high hopes and one mission: find snakehead fry balls. This time of year (August) is a great time to catch snakeheads on fry balls. The parents aggressively guard their babies, and bringing a lure in to the center of the fry ball often causes a reaction strike from the parent snakehead. Delaware snakehead fishing is ...
Bass Fishing in the SWAMPS of Delaware!
Переглядів 7834 місяці тому
Topwater bass fishing is one of the most fun things to do in the state of Delaware. On a sunny evening in our home state, Matty and I took our kayaks out on a local pond in hopes of catching some big largemouth bass. The swamp was full of scum and algae, so frogs were the bait of choice tonight. We used the venom frogs from snakehead outlawz, and after a little bit of time, established a patter...
Snakehead Fishing in Thick Grass Mats!

Snakehead fishing always has its challenges. In today's adventure, that challenge was to catch a snakehead in a spot with some of the thickest grass I've ever seen! I made the journey over in to Maryland in search of a big snakehead, and I was not disappointed. Maryland snakehead fishing has been treating us well lately! The plan of attack today was to throw snakehead outlawz lures on topwater ...
HUGE SNAKEHEADS CAUGHT IN MARYLAND!

It was a warm July day on a Maryland river... Matty, @Outdoorswithcorey and myself set out on our kayaks for an evening of snakehead fishing in Maryland. Throwing topwater lures from Snakehead Outlawz, we were confident in getting some of these big northern snakeheads to bite. Maryland has a history of producing big northern snakeheads, and today we were on the hunt for giants. We got out on ou...

I have never seen a bowfin. Any tips on what part of delaware to try for them? Great vids by the way
Where is this spot at? I’d love to know. I’m stationed here and I’m having a hard time finding an active pond. I’m in Kent county

Looking line private ponds :( I can’t never find any big fish and I’ve been looking for a year in NCC.. no luck
You’re supposed to harvest every one you catch…
How do you access this pond with a kyak i dont see a boat access
A pink jig head with the spinner on there like a road runner is 🔥
Snakehead are an invasive species, don't throw them back, eat it, they are good tasting.
Awesome vid bud!! Great footage on those catches! Where did you launch at down there??
What line are you using man??? I see you had no cut off on those big pickerel!!
Great video. Really relaxing. 😌
Is that a regular or mini klutzy? Thank you!

Im more legal on water than I am on land.
You really gotta get a grip and just admit you were wrong for releasing the fish. Your poorly educated opinion goes against state regulations so reading your description is a moot point. Just follow the rules when you fish our state please.
@@certifiedyaminspector-dadd6224 The rules state that you can legally catch and release if you choose to do so.
@@Orange22Fishing That was over 5 years ago. The regulations were updated long before this video. It says verbatim "If you catch a northern snakehead, harvest it." It doesn't get more clear than that. Please stay current on the state regulations when you fish here. dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/Pages/snakehead.aspx

Nice catch... Is that a lifetime youth kayak...??? Was gonna try one because it's small didn't know if it would hold my weight
It’s a lifetime, but it’s an adult 8 foot kayak. I’m a pretty big guy so I make it look tiny. Holds me just fine at 210 pounds

I got the idea to take a family vacation to DCL this summer mainly because of your DCL videos, we really liked where we stayed and the area in general but the boat traffic was unlike anything i'd ever seen before. We rarely felt safe out on my boat and my brother in law and I couldnt really fish at all, even off the dock. I get summertime is crazy up there but you guys seem to avoid the chaos pretty well. Is there any no wake areas or parts of the lake calmer for folks just wanting to cruise around and relax? rather than tube and ski? Dont want any secret honeyholes at all lol just safer areas of the lake if you knew any. Glad to see your back posting vids!
@@jacobfunkhouser6600 Glad to hear you took the trip out there! It really is an awesome area. Every time we go to the lake, we make sure to rent a place towards the back of the coves. Anywhere right on the main stretch of water is horrible with boat and jet ski traffic. The south-eastern part of the lake is normally where we stay. It’s usually quieter down there. Even there, there’s some traffic, but you can avoid it by fishing at first light in the morning. Any time before 11am is usually good
@@Orange22Fishing we stayed in the cove on the right side just south of Glendale Bridge and it was craaaaaazy. Ive fished the tidal potomac for snakes and its nothing compared to how busy DCL is. Lol but everyone had a great time anyways. Ill definitely take your advice because the fishing just looks to good to ignore. Thanks for getting back to me. Maybe ill see ya out there sometime!
@@jacobfunkhouser6600 I forgot to mention that time of year plays a huge part. We usually go during the first week of june every year. Full tourist season doesn’t really kick in until late June out there. But yeah, anywhere around the Glendale bridge is going to be nuts. If you ever see us out there or at a snakehead spot definitely say hi!
Why is the game warden driving an unmarked vehicle? Tf?
