You were one of two of my favorite things in life: You and Blue! God Bless you, and may he keep you in his heart in this so ever fucked up world! RIP Friend. So evaaaaaa creative!
I have to say, I like this version even more than the original. I love the whole Ziggy Stardust era but the hysterical voice he used on that period (from Hunky Dory until Aladdin Sane)... well, is not my favorite but I'm okay with it. Songs like Soul Love, Starman and R&R Suicide are so perfect that makes me forget about the voice. This live version is a tone lower than the original (F major -the original recording is in G), probably because his voice had became incredibly deep and the high tones of the original recording were hard to reach, at least until the Reality Tour (2002), where we can hear Ziggy Stardust played in its original tune. Anyway, apart from this irrelevant information, the new tune in addition to the band's arrangements (specially those beautiful keyboards that plays the intro riff) gives the song a brand new nature. Just love it.
In other words his vocals were shot (at least in comparison to yesteryear) and couldn't sing it like he used to hence why initially this was supposed to be a farewell tour (at least for stadiums and playing his big hits), lol. 😂
Adrian Belew can be fantastic (see the Isolar II tour). Erdal Kizlkay (bass) played on Buddha of Suburbia and Outside excellently as a multi instrumentalist. The problem here, is the band is so tepid. There is a wonderful version of Stay & I quite like the energy behind Rock n Roll Suicide and Space Oddity. However, I still think this tour was a strange idea, and not one of the best in Bowie's canon.
Love these clips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ist für mich immer in meinem Herzen, auch wenn er nicht mehr unter uns ist. David war einfach großartig 👍😉😁

@@alexkx8599 yeah, hardly shot. You might need to have your hearing checked dude
I like his lower voice (ok I like his earlier voice too 😂). And I love how he never sings a song the same way twice.
