iPhone 2020SE actually has a common logic board defect that causes touch to stop working. It's a trace crack between the CPU and the digitizer connector. It can be repaired, at least for data recovery.

You can take two brand new identical model iPhones, swap the screens between the two, and both will have a popup warning showing "We do not recognize the display as a genuine Apple part". Yep, two brand new and identical model iPhones will complain about Apple's own screens when simply swapped around. It's crazy and stupid!

MacGyver, FTW! Out of the blue, my screen stopped responding to touch. Forced restart wasn't helpful. A few firm squeezes in the area you suggested, and it's back. Awesome advice, and timely! Now I'm off to back up in case it stops again and I need to reset or replace.
Dispite warning signs, I continued to use my iPhone even though it was most definitely overheating. The screen froze. I gave it some time to cool off and then watched about a minute of this video (on my iPad) and the hard reset did the trick. Thank you for this video and saving me from soul crushing disappointment!

I was genuinely in thee worst panic ever, my screen froze and remained unresponsive on my lock screen with a frozen notification that I couldn’t get away. Bearing in mind this taking place at like 1am 🙃 couldn’t call anyone, couldn’t answer anyone/any texts or calls my phone was completely useless and has everything on there so I really was beginning to panic. Was thinking I had to go to the Apple Store in the morning or something and in worse case scenario pay hundreds for a new phone… found this video online whilst researching how to fix my phone and you guys fixed it in a matter of minutes, the sheer panic you guys go rid of 😭😭 can’t thank you enough

The hard reset (done multiple times) did not work. However, for whatever strange reason, taking off the Otterbox case completely, letting the phone sit for 10 minutes, boom, came back to life. This is the second time in 4 months this happened with my iPhone XR and both times this worked. Perhaps in taking off the phone case I pressed on the magic spot on the phone as mentioned in your video. Thank you!
The first suggestion helped me, thank God! I had it on one of those flat chargers n when I took it off, it wouldn't respond to touch at all n i was scared cause its my only means of communicating. Thank you so mucn

I'm just here to say tip 7, the MacGyver solution just worked on my iPhone 11!!!!!!! Pressed on the digitizer location on the screen very hard a bunch of times then did a hard reset and everything worked. (Hard reset had not worked previously, I tried a hundred times!)
