ive built hundreds of rafts on ark... never once built on at a 45 degree angle lol.. gg on that there's a way to place the foundation in the center, after you place the pillar, put a ceiling on the top of it.. then use a quarter wall down on one side.. then place the foundation using the quarter wall. Uses a few more pieces, but it works like it should.
I love the look of this raft. For leeds and Alpha leeds I use plant x set to all targets. Once the leed is hit they are slowed down to a near stop leaving you time to escape or go on the offense!

I wonder, can you turn the base model into any kind of taming raft? love taming rafts, I hate encountering Leeds on the way to say Carno Island or all over the place in the centre.( I once lost my raft, tame, and a preserving bin full of rare kibble ). Even if the raft is a bit less leed resistant, as long as it’s enough to run for it to shore I’m happy.
If you stop moving, does that allow the Leed to attack the raft directly, and then everything crumbles? Or does it attack piece by piece? I saw one Leed when I first logged onto my world, and haven't seen it since, though I've rafted over the spot doezens of times.
Great question! If you stop and the leed attacks from the side, it still does damage. It doesn't seem to be able to do damage from the back though. Except for alphas. All their attacks go straight through the structures to the core of the raft.
Can you put pillars sideways sticking out of the raft to keep the Leed from getting close? Pillars below to keep it a good distance away from the bottom? Or does the two structure away from foundation not support that idea?
Is there any reason why you don't just place a foundation centred over the controls of the raft, build foundations all around it then pick it up and replace it with a hatch frame ceiling? That works fine but I assume there is a reason why you don't? :)

Nono the 45 was just something I hated visually :) so I had to work on another strat, no need for the fence foundations or pillars, just place a foundation over the controls the more round it, then replace the one on the controls with a ceiling, its far fewer steps.@@UnicornBite_
@debianowns4393 oh no, this build is for those in servers with settings that don't allow the setting of foundations in the center. I have another build where I do that. Lol

I honestly think alphas move too fast for turrets to be effective. They'd work fine against a normal leed though. However, this is a question that I must test. I will try this and see if it works.

Iam a ark mobile player i still like asa building videos however leeds in ark mobi'e are drunk there is a thing you can add to your raft to becom faster than a leed and we dont have alpha leeds
We dont have a motorboat😢 the thing that makes the raft faster is a "sailpump" you craft it and add it to your raft (but its expensive) however you can cheese the game and add the sail whitout even crafting it. Ark mobile is weird

You can drive the raft by selecting any part of it; you don't need to select just the handle part.

Honestly a motorboat is the best bet. It has more health and it's faster.
