Story #5 was more of an internal struggle than a proper fight. It had a fight scene that was all in his head, but the other “fight” was just him shooting green eyed cowboy him.
If any of you wish for context and analysis for this fight: Oxob was once a stuntman, who lost his hands when the helicopter he intended to jump from crashed. In hospital some shady government dbags offered to give him advanced prosthetics if he paid. Being wealthy from his many stunting ventures he agreed, however he did not realise that they were also intending to make him into a super soldier. He did not like this and escaped. The operation had left him flat broke, so he turned to fighting in RHG tournaments and discovered that he had a true love for fighting. However in his fight with a gladiator named Xenrath, a large boulder was about to crush his opponent. He pushed him out of the way but his legs were severely broken as the debris fell on him, resulting in him using advanced bracers to help him walk. He continued fighting, but his extensive injuries had taken away his enthusiasm for combat. This worsened in his battle against Jade, who defeated him with relative ease. In this video we can see that his insecurities and loss as Jade’s hands have made him develop some form a pyrophobia and have made him rely more on his enhancements. From his perspective, Jade is also prideful in her natural ability (seen from the hallucinations smirk), whilst he is ashamed of having nothing but his enhancements, which compensate for his crippled body. On the other hand GG, an impoverished artist/fighter, is suffering from his encounter with Bog in Story #4. In this, GG was beaten within an inch of his life and could only defeat the physically impervious Bog by cutting his palms and beating him within his mind space. However Bog’s influence is still clearly seen in this video, with the scars preventing him from putting on all of his armour and poisoning his brain via a form of PTSD. In my opinion the resolution of these problems is what makes this fight so great. At the start Oxob is critical of GG for fussing over the cuts on his hands, pointing out his much more prominent scars, essentially telling him to stop acting like a big child. He offers him a bandage to help him cover up the wound and the past it carries. GG doesn’t want this as he cannot ignore what happened and wishes to move forward, and so he swats away the bandage accidentally burning it. Seeing GG’s toxic pride, Oxob burns his cape and they begin to fight. Oxob’s lightning attacks cannot hurt GG’s body as his armour grounds him, but his hands are unprotected, so Oxob focuses his attacks on his weak point. GG realises that he must put on his gauntlets to have a chance, but doing so will remind him of his confrontation with Bog. GG attempts to overload Oxob with his Ben Franklin trap, which nearly shatters his bracers and diminishes his prosthetics charge, causing the red lightning (a symbol of his reliance on his enhancements). GG decides he cannot avoid his past anymore, accepting the pain it caused him both figuratively and literally, when he puts on his gauntlets. Doing so reopens the cuts on his hands, but his refusal to back down from the pain visibly purges the remnants of Bog’s influence from his mind. He stands anew. Oxob’s attack is again grounded when GG catches it. The heat from the lightning causes the ground to catch fire, which rises behind GG. As he is tossed to the ground Oxob is brought back to his defeat at Jade’s hands and his pyrophobia sparks up seeing the flames at GG’s feet. He expects to see the same prideful smirk on GG’s face until he notices the blood pouring from the wounds on his hands. Seeing GG fight despite the massive amount of pain he is in, inspires him. He stands up, and with each step, the bracers slowly fall apart, showing how he is relying on his own strength for the first time in a long while. The red lightning diminishes and with great agony he charges himself up, ready to fight once more. As he rediscovers his passion for fighting without worrying about his pride. He too stands anew. They fight without hesitation, as they have both overcome their demons.
The one thing I still don't get is who is that cowboy and why is bog only targeting GG (At the ending you can see the cowboy looking at the stars and bog trying to get in GG again but he squashed his ass lmao)
My new favorite animation right here! The way they both concered their pain and their past was so well done! You're one of the few animators who can make me feel emotional for the characters. And your lightning effects are off the chain! This has inspired me to new levels and I'll really try to push myself with my next project! I'M SO GLAD YOU PICKED OXOB FOR THIS!
@@Speedy_taco_productionsHe won't, but in a drawing for story X, the next story (story 9 is alr made, was gg's proposal animation), it featured YUPIA killing GG
On top of being amazingly animated and being an emotional story without using any voices or dialogue, Gildedguy is subtly showing us his taste in music and how very varied it is without having us visit his playlist.
Wonder what's the next story about and I had a few ideas. One of them is Gildedguys Speed paint Arzon. It shows Gildedguy looking at a poster that has a green stickfigure with a cape in a coliseum.
@@archeishere1 a green stickman with a cape? There is a lot of green stickmen with a cape... but if the colliseum represents rhg then... Tentionmaru?? Haah~ I can only hope...
Here’s my speculation of what Oxob represents and Gildedguy represents: At 1:39 we see Gildedguy studying his wounds. Notice how his wounds are open. Also notice how at 1:40 Oxob notices this and at 1:43 Oxob offers Gildedguy bandages. Oxob uses a method of repression to heal. He uses bandages to hide the wounds and in this case he offers the same treatment literally to Gildedguy Gildedguy of course isn’t used to this, and turns his back to Oxob and this causes Oxob to show his huger scars. Now it becomes a thing of pride. Oxob believes he’s in a higher authority to know how to heal because he has scars WAY bigger than Gildedguy. (As shown at 2:05) Now Gildedguy is upset, throwing the bandage away out of anger because he believes that Oxob doesn’t know any better than he does. Thus HIS pride is presented. Now here’s what I love. At 2:17 when Oxob’s bandages are burned- it’s sort of a symbol for Oxobs method of healing. He represses whatever he hurts and bottles it up. So of course once the bandages are burnt, oxob is hurt, and what do we see? A glimpse of his past, the actual symbolic meaning behind the bandages: _what he’s trying to cover up_ Now of course, Oxob aims for Gildedguy’s cape at 2:20. Now this is a bit speculative, but I believe the cape is representing the Green eyed cowboy. The green eyed cowboy is a representation of all of Gildedguy’s desires, and even his faults. Greed, lust, and *pride* Gilded guy’s cape, the one this that is consistent between the gilded guy knight and Green eyed cowboy designs, is burnt. This is Oxob sort of saying “You are not as above this as you think!” ...And then the fight begins. It’s a fight of gildedguy trying to overcome his physical wounds, while Oxob tries to overcome his mental wounds. The two are a foil of each other. Gildedguy, while struggling to heal physically, can deal well with emotions, and Oxob is the opposite. In the fight, they both overcome their appropriate wounds. Oxob pushes Gildedguy to wear his Gauntlets after the immense physical pain, and while Oxob is fought back, the thoughts of his past he tried repressing once again rise to the surface. The two effectively help heal each other from this fight by addressing their personal needs. Now this was highly speculative, and this comment will probably be lost but tell me what you think!
The thing we love about Gildedguy, is that the stories can all be interpreted as something connected to animating. Story 1: First real story, testing the waters and making your first animation. Short, sweet, but lots of dedication nonetheless. Story 2: A change and the development of your own real style. In this case, the beginning of a theme of music synced animations with breathtaking colors. Story 3: Where real challenges begin to arise, in realizing even with immense dedication and time, you need money to keep doing what you love. However, you have to realize that you can’t sell out, or blatantly ask. You’ll make it through, just keep making amazing stuff and the rest will follow. Story 4: The real fear, when the stuff you make isn’t being viewed enough. That lingering fear of nobody watching what you create, which is practically a life line for an animator. The fear(bog) could never be beaten, only pushed down and conquered by the animators own resolve. Story 5: With the creations you make, there are always other animators. Those who make more, get more views, fans, sponsorships. In this the green eyed cowboy was simply that, green with envy. The jealously of wanting what others have. It’s just the desire of reaching that goal or stardom(in the animation world). Story 6: A story of conquering past fears. Even when one seemingly beats both fear and jealousy, it’s never truly gone. Such things leave scars. Through this, the fight wasn’t just a fight to win, it was one to heal. Creating a beautiful animation that brings you back to the reason you picked up the pen or pencil in the first place, to feel happy and revel in the brilliance of your work to which you can share with others. Thx gildedguy for everything you’ve done.
Story 1 was actually a challenge video I believe. I think he only had 24 hours to animate it. Gilded guy was already a well established animator in the community before the gilded guy animations
Man I love the fact that bog still has this much of a physiological impact on gilded . It makes the fight that they had more of a battle against themselves and overcoming a tramautising experience. It truly seems like the fight left them both better , if not slightly injured as well. This was a amazingly well written fight.
Rausan Rau Not really, the Bog blob during the post credit-scene is actually him, or a part of him per say. The Bog in all of the sword reflections are just figments of Gildedguy’s imagination, or rather his trauma.
Its even better than that, GildedGuy just doesn't care about Bog anymore, when he saw Bog in the sword, I took it as a "Hey weirdo." Kinda moment. It doesn't matter if Bog's lingering effects on GildedGuy are purely subconscious trauma or some dark remnant of Bog. GildedGuy didn't and still doesn't care and endured endlessly. IT'S HOW HE WON AGAINST BOG IN THE FIRST PLACE
Jade: I have fire. Bog: I can’t die. Oxob: I have prothstetics that let me control lightning. GildedGuy: I have a pen, armor, ptsd, and a stretchy sword oh and another sentient being inside of me who’s a cowboy.
3:18 I like to imagine that right here, Gildedguy suddenly remembered doing that cool spinny-attack thing during his fight with Bog and realized, "Oh yeah, I can do that" before proceeding to do that
@@CobaltCobra-gm3ru yes there is you’re a new gen Brainrotter watching these disrespectful animations to a beautiful lore from way back in my day you probably don’t hate the new Star Wars or Marvel or FNAF either so you’re a Brainrotter
I love how the fight went from what makes us special (sword, magic pen, electric powers) to a common thing we share ( suffering from pain) and looking at each other In admiration of strength to keep going and fight each other using just their strength. Also the final end credit shows how gildeds desire (green eyed cowboy) will always be followed by or have to deal with the doubt to continue (bog) no matter what trial he overcomes
Gildedguy vs. Oxob is quite clearly to me a story of trauma - specifically, a story of *relinquishing yourself* from the weight of trauma and pushing past previous traumatic experience as a step towards healing. It's message and thematics can be described with one word, "Pain", but experiencing that pain isn't *just* for the sake of negativity and playing with the character's anger and grief towards it, pain is also used as a tool for healing in this story. Pain is necessary in any traumatic experience. You have to feel that pain, and know it, before you can know how to heal. GG and Oxob have both individually experienced their own trauma, you don't even need to know Oxob's previous stories to get a grasp for how he feels inhibited by his own trauma and pain with repeatedly getting the short end of the stick. Knowing his stories only gives it more depth, with him retaining a long-term physical disability, losing family and being taken advantage of per result of recklessness. Gilded on the opposing end bears the frustrations of being unable to heal from his experiences with Bog in a very literal sense, because Bog is *still stuck with him,* mentally and physically, and the fact that remnants of that battle for survival are still quite literally within him has left him in a position where his scars from that fight are still unable to properly heal, thus leaving him unable to dawn his armor, even when in a position where he needs to rely on it. A very good means of storytelling, by taking the way trauma sticks with people and bringing it to a /physical/ level as well, not just mental. I think it's very telling, how Gilded turns away from Oxob's offer of help in the beginning of the story, that both of their own traumas and approaching them from a healthy angle wasn't going to be possible through just a conversation. They both have negative associations with duels, or just fighting in general, because of the way it's impacted them physically /and/ mentally, and that's not something that they can recover from without having to face it head on. Dueling between themselves, even if that's not something they precisely realize in the moment, is by all means a therapeutic process. Their fight is driven by anger, a communication gap, but it eventually wraps back around into being a positive experience for the both of them, even if it's not very happy in the moment. The both of them get their own time to push past things that both physically and mentally inhibit them in this story - Gilded finally pushing past the pain of his scars and dawning his gauntlets, and Oxob similarly losing his leg braces. The rest of their fight then on takes a very.... dramatic angle. Downright anime-esc, a bit cheesy for some, but I personally think it's the perfect visual demonstration of how the two of them have been able to release themselves of their personal inhibitions and just fight for the sake of it, because it's fun, dramatic, fast paced. I think this stands true for Oxob especially, given how that's always been what dueling has meant to him, being a medium where he can put his otherwise destructive electrokinetic abilities (nanomachines, son!) to a good use, something that's engaging for him, and with Gilded being able to wear his full set of armor (of which is very evidently conductive, and Gilded's only means of keeping himself from being fried), the two are effectively in a position where neither really necessarily risks inhibiting the /other/, either, which definitely lends into why the fight gets so crazy in the back half - it's unconventional, but this is effectively their healing process, replacing negative association with something positive, something liberating. I think the thing that definitely sells that theme of "release from trauma" for certain is the ending - I don't know what's going on with The Cowboy, at this rate, but I do think this video has in some respects de-confirmed his association with Bog as an individual - at least after the fact, given that he seems unaffected by Bog's absence by all means, even seeming a bit perturbed by his short lived presence when attempting to re-enter Gilded's scars, only turning back to his own focus, his own goals, when he's assured that Gilded can effectively handle himself (which was an incredibly powerful moment, by the way. Glorious visual storytelling of how he's finally been able to heal. His scars look so much healthier from the beginning of the animation, too). This is a bit tangent-y of a comment overall, so I'm sorry if my thematic ramblings come off as a bit disjointed, but this animation overall has already come to hold a very special place in my heart, as a person who has personally struggled with PTSD, and especially the anger that comes with it. This animation demonstrates all of it's themes beautifully, and it's overall message is very personally meaningful to me, so take this message as an overall thank you for continuing to tell such incredible stories through your animation. I anticipate what you'll come to create in the future with bated breath. EDIT: thanks for all the kind comments! makes me feel extra validated in overanalyzing this silly video of two stick figures punching each other, lol
So, in other words, Shock Therapy. Edit: In all seriousness I really love how Gilded can fit such a great message into an animation with no dialogue. He exerted mastery over the show-don't-tell storytelling style beautifully and in an easily digestible way. So much so, that upon watching this again I instinctively teared up just a little bit.
Thats a really good analysis, i enjoyed reading this alot, it wrapped up all the ideas about the themes i had and didnt have into one conclusion and it really gives me more insight into the animation. I also think the ending was really powerful, how he's physically healed now he's mentally past it, how bog can't enter anymore because he's healed and how he both mentally and physically, killing bog, closes that traumatic chapter of his life.
This has to be on the best experiences in my life. I literally cried and couldn't even fathom what PEAK I was experiencing. I'm blessed to have watched this 🙏🏿
So this entire fight started because Oxob pulled a "mine's bigger than yours" on Gildedguy. Huh. In all seriousness, this animation was amazing and I had a blast watching it get made on twitch, good luck on your future endeavors Gildedguy! We're all rooting for you!
Nah, I think Oxob started the fight because Gildedguy wasn't taking care of his hands like he should, and Oxob told him that he needed to appreciate the fact that he still HAS hands. And Gilded burning Oxob was just the last click for him. And in the end, Gilded won because he knew he had to surpass that fear and pain to win, and he did putting on his gloves.
This was quite the battle: Two wounded and traumatised warriors duking it out. Not to mention the animation was fantastic. Another animation well done Gildedguy
not only where they wounded but they still went all out at the end no fear holding them back it was amazing to see what the story has come to the growth of each of them.
5:49 is so fucking beautifully done, dawning the last bit of armor physically hurts GildedGuy to the point of tears because of the trauma he went through with Bog but you can see as he accepts that he's strong enough to get through this the last it of Bog's hold over him leaves and he returns to full form.
This begins as two fighters who have gone through their own traumas fighting out of frustration because they don't know if they'll ever get better into two fighters accepting that they ARE strong enough and they WILL get better.
Watching this again because it's so beautiful that another amazing detail is that GuildedGuy pushes through his trauma by putting on his armor and Oxob pushes through his trauma by taking his armor off.
Basically the plot: Gildedguy: you don’t understand my pain Oxob: no, you don’t understand MY pain Gildedguy: fite meh irl bro Oxob: OK BRO Epik fite scene Oxob: we totally relate bro Gildedguy: bro...
5:48 this right here is probably the most emotional moment ever. Not only does he put on his finally on the gloves that have haunted him since that night. But theirs visual representation that he’s overcome the trauma he’s been through. As the lighting that was surging through his armor burns the acid away which you can see coming out of his helmet, it shows how much this fight helped him. When oxob see this, he can’t help but breakdown knowing that somehow this fight has helped him and realizes that maybe the same could happen for him. How his leg braces breakdown and removed the visual shackles holding him back to the camera panning up to see him crying. And it ties back to the reason this fight happened in the first place. All he wanted to do, was help him. Btw, 6:49 was the face of a smile. Both of them fighting in their prime states at that point, nothing holding them back, and all the worry behind them is gone. It’s only Oxob and Gildedguy. And right now, this fight is the only thing that matters. And he can’t help as he sees the eyes in gildedguy to smile in return.
hey don’t forget that Gildedguy isn’t fully worried about his magic pen he only realizes that he lost it after the fight and heads his way to the arena
6:59 I love the part when the air gets blue and then turns orange with gildeguy jumping out of it. Don’t know why but there was something pretty amazing about that scene.💯💯
I just learned from the Gildedguy webpage that the place they fought(Aegis Field) is place of healing. I love how the fight fits the lore AND has a deep meaning :D
So GlidedGuy’s suit grounded Oxob’s electricity but he kept giving him more so his suit was empowered by Ozob’s powers to fight at his level? So Oxob was fighting a reflection of himself. Deep.
He has plus and minus at the same time spark rock the light was coming from the electric and making oxobs memory to flood back but gildedguy is noding to oxob to know he was not gonna destroy his gloves like jade did oxob did the same but not take the weapon he had like jade did they had the same mind of jade
Gilded Guy is actually pretty powerful. Jade got beat as soon as GG got his sword and was able to go blow for blow in a fist fight with OXOB though both are severely handicapped. Only Bog and the Chef has been able to fight GG at his full strength.
Story 1-6 in a nutshell: 1: Guy attempts murder because someone else didn't like his terrible cooking 2: Woman attempts murder because guy ate more than 2 of something 3: Guy attempts to get money to repair his armor after 2 people tried to murder him 4: Sludge creature attempts to murder someone for just existing 5: Guy almost dies because he was daydreaming 6: Guy attempts murder because somebody refused to take some bandages
I do think it is much better than having dialogue. Can you imagine if it had dialogue? just a bunch of people swearing at each other and calling them names. looking at you hollywood...
They're both dealing with trauma and wounds, Gildedguy cut his hands in order to survive against bog, and Oxob has had his arms blown off twice, and his legs badly injured, only being repaired to serve under Jade
It was only to repay the favors. I guess Oxob just realised in that moment that he couldn't put up as much of a good fight against anybody ever again cuz he's basically a cripple.
I like how dynamic this was, and how they don’t do those pace-breaking anime cliches. Like if this was an actual anime-style battle, for the scene at 3:09. Instead of immediately attacking again, Oxob would have jumped back and then it would cut to a still image of Oxob with a surprised face internal monologuing, saying something like this to himself for 30 sec. “What? That was my Denka Lightning Punch technique! It should have shocked him into submission! How could it not do anything?” Guildedguy would have then looked at him crossing his arms or something, making a manly expression, and say something like “You are probably wondering why your attack did nothing to me? Well.” It would then cut to Guildedguy rushing towards him with a speed lines background and say something like “Your Denka Lightning Punch is useless, because my armor is made with the rare Ahokutu Ore which absorbs electricity! You are powerless against me! And now witness as I use the ancient Katakata Sword Technique on you!” It would then cut to Oxob again with a surprised face and he’d internal monologue like “The ancient Katakata Sword Technique? I never knew it was real! If he knows that technique, I won’t be able to dodge this!” It would then show a few seconds of Oxob being repeatedly slashed by Guidedguy and then it would cut to Guidedguy with a manly expression bragging about his armor and power level and all that jazz that generic anime characters brag about. Maybe saying something also like “Your training could never have prepared you for an opponent like me, so I suggest you give up, I have already won.” Then Oxob would be like “You may think you have won, but I noticed your weakness. Your armor covers everything but your hands! Your hands should be wide-open for my attack!” It would then show a close-up of Guidedguy with a surprised face and he’s internal monologue like “What? How did he know?” Then Oxob would be like “Yes! And now that I know your weakness. You are as good as defeated! TAAKKKEEE THIIISSS!!! HUUUAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!” Then cut to him doing repeated Kung-fu punches and kicks. Then more moments of pace-breaking monologues and bragging about their abilities. But no. It didn’t do any of that stuff that generic anime always does. That’s why this is good!
@@iinkstain THANK YOU! Someone who actually understands what I mean, how so many anime battles are ruined by pace-breaking sequences of the characters stopping the whole fight to do things like explain their moves, brag about their power, or internal monologuing with a surprised face when surprised by their opponent’s move, and how this is good because it doesn’t do any of that! So few people get what I mean or think I’m wrong to criticize that, but for once, someone actually gets it. Thank you!
Jade: uses an elegant weapon that can shoot fire, and turn into a spear. Oxob: uses prosthetic hands that can shoot electricity and ankle guards that can be used as a speed boost and to power up his kick attacks Gildedguy: E X P A N D S W O R D
We all have the cool fight in our head that's planned out but we can't animate. Then we watch a guy that can, we get inspired to do the same for a few seconds, than we give up and get depressed. Then we see another epic animation. Rinse and repeat.
Neat detail: Gold is one of the most efficient electrical conductors in the entire elemental table. In other words, Gold (GildedGuy) attracts Lightning (Oxob). Says a bit about the creator too, as Gold is also one of the most fragile precious metals, and given how clear and open Michael is with displays of emotion in his animations, I think it is an all-too appropriate comparison.
If someone asked what my favourite animated fight scene of 2020 would be, I'd never guess it would be two half dead cripples fighting over whether or not to put bandages of partially healed scars.
I don’t like to think that either one of these guys won and I think it’s great to think of it that way. Both overcame their demons. In the end and it’s not really about who won, it’s about this beautiful animation!
It wasn’t a tie though guild wasn’t asleep either neither did he get rid of his demons they still haunt him guild guy won and left a signal to oxob behind
I love how gildedguy gets himself in trouble in each story due to his own stubbornness. And how nobody is ever the same person after encountering him. And he has this personality that can change the way you perceive everything in just within a couple of moments. Even if he has to go super saiyan to prove a point. And I Also love how much weight each fight has. its not about just two dudes punching each other. Its about two people trying to conquer their past. (Thats how I saw it) Each fight has an underlining message that you can only get after watching it a couple of times. Its kind of poetic.
But bog was just being a dick. Not really stubborn. Basement busk was just him trying to get money to fix his armor(though it was broken in previous story due to having no manners.
honestly not all of them have been super meaningful(still an incredible work either way, but not all of them hold emotional weight): story #1 is literally an argument about bacon doneness turned into a fight. important, certainly, but not really emotionally weighted. story #2 is about Gildedguy eating too many snacks at a party and then fighting the person who set up said party because of it. story #3 isn't a fight at all, and is just Gildedguy trying to make money for armor repairs at a music joint. story #4 has emotional effects, what with the possession and mental habitation, but the reason it started is that Bog is an asshole. story #5 and #6 I agree with you though, there's a lot of gravitas and emotion behind them both, and it's awesome.
@@RealLordShaxx well at least Bog's helping him now.... Only because GG was beating him internally. I will agree with you on the 1st part you said tho. My dude was trying to chill until Bog came out of nowhere XD
I actually cried at the end of the premiere, I remembered every past RHG and the glory days, the animation quality just made me feel so much. I know one can’t really compare to the past fights since, this is way too good, but i felt that spark of joy and excitement again when I first found the stick figure community. These aren’t sticks, they’re characters.
Well i mean thier still stick figures. Just more detailed. They still have the circke head and body. Just cause they arent lines doesn't make them anyless stickmen. Just gives em more form.
6:33 - (something I missed the first 300 TIMES I watched this 🙀😹) I love the look on GG's face when he realizes they're leaving the ground... "Are we doing THIS now?!" 😳
I love how this goes from being a fight about anger and aggression, to being one about battling your inner demons, to a brawl of mutual respect and understanding between two bros.
Every time I watch Gildedguy's latest animation it's almost like a personal milestone. Every time a new work comes out I'm a little older, a little wiser than I was before. Each first viewing is a perfect snapshot of who I was at that point in time, and I often am reminded of certain traits I had when I go back to view his previous animations. I've been an ecstatic sugar-fueled Middle school student, an aspiring musician who couldn't keep a beat, a presidential buff, an actor, an author, a weightlifter, and everything in between. Now I'm here, as an adult reading up about Wagner. Yet despite all these changes, I keep coming back to see what Gildedguy has made next. And every time I get to that point, I've always learned something important that I didn't know before. And you know what? I think everyone else here* is the same way. *including Michael Edit: I'm not going to be crushed if nobody sees this comment, but I thought of something fun I could do. I'm going to go back to each of his major animations and comment something I learned at that time. This is more for personal fulfillment than anything
ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE THIS ANIMATION HAS FIRST RELEASED, what an amazing animation this has been. Oxob was the first animator and RHG that got me into the stickfigure animation community and I’m glad that you chose him for this. Love to see where this plot is going, excited for the Story #0!
im not going to lie, i may be the only one who actually shed tears to this at one point because of how i connected with the struggles, not when it comes to him and his animations, just int general with life challenges. gildedguy has always been one of my most favorite animators, who has always been legendary to me. i will forever follow 💯
6:18 is what got me the first time I watched this. You see Oxob overcome his own injuries to fight his heart out with Gildedguy. Before this moment, I felt as though something was missing. After watching the video, I realized that this is the first feature animation by gilded (besides invincibility knight) where he decides not to use a song with vocals at all. It really makes this moment hit harder in the end, because this was where I understood that this animation was about victory for both fighters (as Nairobi points out that 5:48 is Gilded's big moment). And the absence of vocals helped give me the space to interpret this moment. I thought it was strange that the melody of the song had brevity in a setting that was dark and rainy. Also adding on to that, the fighters were dealing with trauma and were at odds with each other. Trauma isn't just gone in a snap, it's a process. Gildedguy was wearing mitts and was pretty down in Story 5. But in this animation you can see that he is still not 100% back to his cheerful self and still suffers from his fight with Bog. At 5:48 you can see bog leaving Gildedguy as he puts on his gloves to keep going and keep fighting. I feel as though its more of a symbol of Bog losing influence over Gilded. Then Oxob seeing Gildedguy overcome his struggles is also inspired to keep going and push himself, releasing the shackles of his braces. This is huge because I remember in another Oxob animation, Oxob had to stop fighting early because his injuries held him back. I guess the melody was foreshadowing this conclusion of this fight, where both Gildedguy and Oxob fight without holding back. As always, I am super impressed to see the whole animation synced to the music and how much detail Gildedguy puts into his work. This was really awesome and thanks for all that you do Gildedguy!
I love the attention to detail in this fight. Gilded's armour was redirecting oxob's electricity to the ground, so oxob focused on attacking his injured arms. Gilded suffered pain when wearing his gloves because of bog, but overcame that tragedy and wore his gloves again to fight oxob. Visual story telling at its finest! Masterful job gildedguy!
At 3:23 after bog showed up in his sword, gilded did the same spinning attack (but looks a bit more fluid? As if bog has some influence in it) bog showed up again as gilded swing and the overall colour pallete change to purpleish, later on when gilded stop and start using more direct attack the colour pallete change back to normal. Either it points out how bog influence gildedguy, or a callback, like when gildedguy uses the same attack against jade on his fight against bog.
This has to be hands down the best flash animation I've ever seen (assuming gildedguy still uses flash) now I used to spend a lot of time animating, nearly a decade ago, and from a cursory glance you can see how amazing the effects, scenery, and motions are, not to mention how brilliantly gildedguy handles his stories, congrats gildedguy, you're awesome.
@Farhan Rahman Doesn't mean you can't use it. Support for xp stopped long ago, yet that didn't stop me from using my old xp-laptop for keeping my work. The laptop breaking did.
6:12 the look of awe and respect. Imagine going all in on a guy only to have him catch you and throw it all right back at you. Then as you're laying on the ground, he doesn't attack but instead waits for you to say you're ready. Even though you can see what appears to be his own blood drenching his gauntlets. And then when you get up again everything that's holding back the pain of your previous injuries breaks apart. So that at 6:24 it looks like you're crying because of how much excruciating pain you're in. But you've invested, and neither combatant is gonna throw in the towel now because of the amount of respect between the two. At this point they gotta fight until neither of them can fight anymore. So they do.
This really makes me think of the old trope where two characters who have trauma are able to understand each other by fighting. The flip at 6:13 where oxob can see that gildedguy is fighting through his pain and from that point on the fight isn't out of anger but respect from one to another. Absolute god tier animation.
I thought it was weird at first with no fight sound effects but the soundtrack actually has so much emotion in it, and tells a story off that alone. I actually get goosebumps when Gildedguy does the first whirlwind slash and the soundtrack drops
6:13 It took a few re-watches to catch this little nod they both share. I can tell this is showing that they are both ready to go all-out and fight until the metaphorical “storm” (being their past troubles) ends. They’re fighting to confront what is haunting them and to overcome it. On another note, I’m glad I was one of the viewers on Twitch! This is, by far, your best one yet imo solely for the amount of dedication you clearly put into this. Outstanding, Gilded!
How battle starts with GG GG vs Fry: GG: "You BURNED the bacon" GG vs Jade: Jade: "Every food is only served ONE per guests" GG vs Bog: Bog: "Imma end this man's whole night" GG vs Oxob: Oxob: " You don't understand my PAIN"
No actually oxobs trying to fight gildedguy to teach him because when gg burned oxobs bandages oxob found a toxic pride, ya see gg vs oxob is kind of about "move on, man"
Found this on IG. Came to find the entire story. Watched the entire plot up this point. And when i tell you this part made me shed tears. Nothing short of beautiful
This more dark, more smooth, has more detail, has more story... it’s perfect. I would love to see more of this, as a video or as a comic. Overall, I love this!
He’s fighting against professional killers whom have superpowers, artificially super enhanced, or magic artifacts. He’s got a magic star pen, armor made of coins, and an elasta Sword. He’s winning these battles via Luck, Creativity, and a good amount skill. GG is awesome because he’s more like normal person than the people he fights.
This man solos the entire Hazbin hotel and helluva boss universe, even other indie animation universes. Gildedguy is the strongest being in all of UA-cam.
The way gilded narrated his story looked like he is truly progressing through with a great experience fighting legends among legends as he becomes more and more better at handling it
I love how in the end, it isn't about gilded carrying around a flag that Oxob remembers from his past, it's about companionship and how gilded was willing to give Oxob a fight, just to get over the pain. Both of them have it, Oxob seeing gilded as himself when he lost his leather gloves, then when he put on the normal ones, Oxob realized, Gilded is just like him because he went through something just as bad. Its really cool and awesome to see it all calm down and just be a fight to get the pain out at the end. each of them throwing punches but not trying to kill the other.
@@gircakes He was offended but when Oxob saw Gilded on pain and want this shayt to be fixed Oxob went back to his senses fought GG without any anger and just pouring his emotions and GG does the same
I love how, at 6:12, it seems the fight is no longer about who's pain is greater, but a mutual respect for the other's pain and an unspoken agreement to lash out their pain at each other, as a form of release. I get this from GG's slight head nod, Oxob's braces shattering into nothing and each character's respective facial expressions at 6:45. Also loved the synth in this, got that old school 80-90s 'Friendship overcomes all' vibes. You've done a fantastic job here Gildedguy, I eagerly look forward to your next wonderful piece!
Donald Pagee Agreed. It’s really nice to see them overcome their trauma and sort of become buddies. I’d guess it’s more rivals from then on but still. Buddies
I was trying to articulate what I believed happened in that scene and I think you hit it on the nose. "A mutual agreement to lash out their pain towards each other." They both had to beat the pain, and they both knew the other did too. That pain was no longer holding them back, it was evening the playingfield.
I've said it elsewhere- I'll say it again. You've done spectacularly as ever GG- like really. You and the production team have blown it out of the water and thensome. Can't wait to see what you guys make next!
6:13 - 6:24 is ABSOLUTELY my favourite moment Oh my god. The little nod of understanding between them is everything. They feel one another's pain. Oxob had his spirit crushed and didn't think himself capable of fighting anymore, and was letting those injuries hold him back mentally. He sees GG in himself, which is why he offered the bandages in the first place, and now seeing GG with his hands shaking and bleeding but still lifting his fists to fight rekindles that fire in him. GG gets the pain, but he pushed himself past the trauma to wear the gloves. Seeing GG like that strikes an emotional chord with Oxob who is inspired to get back up, crying his heart out and breaking away from his own leg restraints to bear the pain and fight with everything he has. *It's a cathartic moment for them both, and it's so so beautiful*
Your words spoke out to me more than ever. The convention and meaning in the scenes is simply stunning. Oxob’s disabilities didn’t define him but his growth and development did.
Couldn't agree more. And the tears that run down Oxob's face, mixing in with the rain, as he just cries out before striking at Gilded just chilled me. Awesome moment.
Omg I missed that is was so quick and now that you pointed it out I had a good cry about how beautiful this is and how powerful this animation explains it story holy hell this animation is pure perfection
Something that I just realized after rewatching and listening to this for years In 3:24, if you pause and look at the frames before Gildedguy starts to spin, you can see Gildedguy’s shock or fear in his eyes, as if he’s staring into the reflection of Bog in his sword. You can still see it in his eyes in 3:32, with a look of doubt and worry if his attack is working, ands quickly shuts his eyes hoping it works (or maybe a raindrop got into his eyes idk). 3:38 But only after seeing Oxob adapting and dodging his attack, the lines around his eyes disappear. That’s some good attention to detail.👍 TLDR; lines around his eyes appear when he reenacts a move he did in Story #4, and goes away after doing a different attack.
"Learn from your past and embrace it. Don't be afraid of it." That's the message I got out this. And I love it. I still can't say that this is better than GG vs Bog. I guess, for me, that one just holds something special. Also, IN MY OPINION, I think the music wasn't quite the right fit. The upbeat, cheery vibe it gave off contrasted a bit too much with the overall dark tone of the animation. But that isn't to say it was bad, not by any means whatsoever. Just one little criticism I have for an overall fantastic video.
I think it fit perfectly, lightning and electricity is energetic and powerful but a painful thing to handle. I think the song encapsulated that perfectly. Plus we had a darker tone fight already with bog.
Good critiques! The Bog fight set the bar VERY high, especially with the music. There were moments I also thought that there was a disconect as well, but it was quickly overshadowed by the parts that stuck. I think the leit motif as a good one for when they both had their 'overcome' moments towards the end, though it was a little out of place for the beginning which carried a more serious vibe.
It really fit at the end tho, after the punch barrage to the end, the song really fit the wholesome fight of basicaly two guys getting over their pain, the ecstasy of fight, and utter respect for each other.
Gildedguy vs Oxob was a close fight Oxob had the advantage in the first round for his shear skill, speed, and experience as seen from multiple RHG duels in the past allowing him to increasingly attack Gildedguy with ease and evade the spinning sword attack Gildedguy used against Bog. This is despite Oxob having previous injuries from his accident from the boulders, his fight with jade, and his legs being badly hurt from another fight just moments before his encounter with Gildedguy What Oxob didn’t take into account was Gildedguy’s Gold Armor which was one of Gildedguy’s strongest advantages in this battle. Gold is a good conductor of electricity which means Gildedguy could either repel or reflect Oxob’s electricity against him. This is a problem for Oxob because his electric charge give him that extra “uumff” to his punches as seen from his previous fights. Gildedguy has shown to have good quick thinking and naturally high endurance both physically and mentally as seen from his fights before hand which gives Gildedguy another advantage A big turning point in this battle was Gildedguy using his pen to redirect the lightning into Oxob which greatly impacted Oxob and overheated his electric hands and leg enhancements. The biggest turning point probably has to be Gildedguy’s willpower when he puts his gloves on which gave Gildedguy a great boost in strength and speed. Despite Oxob having willpower as well which gave him a boost as well. Gildedguy was able to use Oxob’s electricity and the storm lightning to add extra impact to Oxob with his Golden armour and gloves. Despite this, they were able to spar almost evenly matched. Oxob put up a good fight but Gildedguy definitely won this. Had Gildedguy not wore his armour, this match would’ve ended WAY different and sooner Edit: Just saying that Oxob was the better fighter, but Gildedguy was smarter and had more advantages before the fight
I like how oxob realise gildedguy advantage and start attacking his unprotected hands when his mitten were burned. And gildedguy immedietly picked up on this and hide his hand behind his back, and just tanking all oxob punches.
Let me say that guildedguy will win even if he dint bring his sword. oxob lose becouse guildedguy fought bog and jade and fry bog is fast so it was a little think everyone know and oxob lose to jade in that means guildedguy wins anyway becouse he defeated jade and im writing tooooooooo much
I love how each of Gildedguy’s stories covers a music genre. So far we got: Rhythm & Rockets (Pop) Jade (Rock) Basement Busk (Soul) Bog (Electro-Rock) Green-Eyed Cowboy (Country) Oxob (EDM) ...what do you think comes next?
There's also with fry(classic, then alt.hip hop) And the slush defenders short if you count it(some parts are rap) Edit:oh right who can forget gildednutz(memes and modern pop)
Look. I’mma be real here. I say that Gildedguy inspires me. A lot. I tell anyone I meet that I look up to him. Yet I’ve never been an animator. Only an appreciator of his work. I’ve always wanted to be an animator, yet I don’t think I know even the first thing about starting to attempt animation. My hype when the teaser trailer for this hit was already through the roof. But the actual thing? That brought me to tears. And somehow, with each video, my resolve strengthens. Someday, when I’m ready, when I know what I’m doing, I *am* going to do what you do. Even if it takes 10, 20, even 30 years. Because with the kind of incredible, beautiful things you create for people, I can honestly say. There is no greater gift that you can give to this world. And it’s not just your animations, it’s you. You are a gift to all of us out here watching you shine and unleash waves of color and entertainment. So all of that to say, thank you. Thank you for what you do Michael. And I wish you the best of luck in all your future creations and endeavors. Keep shining, and may the “heart” in your “shiny art with heart” keep beating strong. I know for a fact you raised my heart-rate by a few bpm’s with this video.
That moment when you realized that this is called "Full Animated Fight" instead of the usual "Animated Music Video". I feel as if GildedGuy is gonna do something similar to Oxob's fight in future battles, as now GG's gonna start fighting other stickmen in the arena. So, similarly to how Oxob's song was "Electric", the other songs will be in relation to the opponent.
I think that’s just what he will be calling these fights and stuff like the green eyed cowboy or when he meets penny will be the “animated music video” as it is a video and less of a fight
Fun detail I haven’t seen talked about is how the song changes throughout the fight When Oxob is attacking the music has a more electronic sound to it which fits for obvious reasons But when GildedGuy is attacking it switches to Pop/Retro which just seems to fit him.
I feel like the high energy music sections also represent their acceptance of their situations or moving past their struggles, coming to terms with their pain through their fight. They both start off the fight feeling broken, Gildedguy from his experience with Bog, and Oxob from the experiments that gave him his powers. The fight only starts because of these toxic emotions; Oxob sees the similarities between his situation and Gildedguy's, but when he tries to open up about his struggle, Gildedguy rejects him, accidentally damaging Oxob's bandage in the process. This angers Oxob and leads the two to begin fighting, each just taking out their frustration on the other. The music is aggressive to match this, and the pop/retro part only comes in when one of them does something to get past their negative thoughts. The first time it comes in is when Gildedguy uses the spin move that he used in the fight against Bog, trying to move past the bad memories that are holding him back. He knows that the only way he can survive is through overcoming his trauma, but he isn't quite there yet, evidenced by the pink tint to his attack and Bog's reflection in his sword, still tainted by Bog's malicious influence. We hear the second instance of this style when Gildedguy is finally able to overcome his fear and puts his gauntlets back on, purging Bog's influence from himself once and for all. This prompts Oxob to finally unleash his full power that he had been holding back, with both of them released from their inner turmoil, allowing them to truly enjoy their fight for the first time in a long time, a moment of true catharsis for both them and the audience.
@@DatHypnoboi Another thing to note that after Oxob knocks GG back a bit after taking his sword away from GG, he tends to have a flashback to when he lost his hands the first time since GG's pose there has a similar look to Oxob in his past.
@@jameskue4834 Well, it's a mix of both I think. Goes to show how this rivalry went back to a friendly competition between the two when GG showed Oxob that he doesn't care about pride and he is, indeed, in pain too.
This portrayal of healing is beautiful. Even rewatching, I still get teary eyed when Oxob's bandages fall off after Gildedguy nods to keep fighting despite bleeding from his gauntlets
In story #4 the Bog was trying to control Gildedguy, having his hand have cuts to get inside him, which it did made it very painful wearing his gauntlets.
To be honest, I never thought GildedGuy could fight like that. That's the thing, GildedGuy was never the most skilled or the fastest and I liked that about him. He beat his opponents because of his will and his mental strength, but seeing him fight like he's been doing it for years? Props to you Micheal this animation was superb.
I think he's growing as a fighter. I mean, hell, it makes sense after all the stuff he's been through. He's been dancing on the edge of death after all.
Thats the thing, after fighting so many characters more powerfulls than he, he become a better fighter, i understand this fight was quite brutal and less mental, but I think thats becouse both characters had things in their minds that both wanted to take off. This was a discharge, not a duel.
6:15 I believe that GG gave that nod to Oxob as if to tell him that he's ready for him and to not give up yet. In a way, he was encouraging him to keep fighting and that it was ok to get knocked down sometimes. Once GG conquered his trauma, he was pretty much letting Oxob work through his by duking it out; this not only helped Oxob past his trauma and fear but also reignited his love for battle. This was essentially a therapy session for both fighters.
idk even, maybe I'm too emotional, maybe it's nostalgia or maybe amazing animation paired with music just does something to me, but i almost cried at 3:21 and did cry at 4:50 you're the best friking artist ever, GG❤️🩹
The fight started after Gilded refused to hide his scars he got from bog. Despite that, Gilded was unable to completely let go of Bog. It was after he had that he could put on the gloves. When Oxob sees, he accepts his past and removes his bandages and starts to cry. Not sure what that means, but you can see a LOT of ambition was put into this story! Applause to Micheal and everyone who made this happen!
It looked to me like guilded is immune to oxob’s electricity, and honestly GG is pretty physically strong to begin with. Remember how in the bog episode he did the twirly thing to cut away all the forest and reveal bog? That takes some serious strength. Inhuman really. So the electrical immunity mixed with super strength and armor to absorb blows, oxob may have been doomed to lose from the beginning. Also, I think oxob’s power to bust through a tank may have more to do with electromagnetism than his physical strength.
I want this video of yours gilded guy, because this is amazing, I love you man, you are a legendary fighter and a warrior, hopefully you heart my comment one day.
Reasons of the battle:
Story #1: Burnt bacon
Story #2: Snacks
Story #4: IDK, Bog is just a bastard
Story #6: Burnt bandage
I thing "Bog is just a bastard" is really just how any bog fight goes
You skipped story #5
@coolcoolmm m I mean it really wasn’t much of a physical fight was it.
Story #5 because cant afford more flowers
Story #5 was more of an internal struggle than a proper fight. It had a fight scene that was all in his head, but the other “fight” was just him shooting green eyed cowboy him.
If any of you wish for context and analysis for this fight:
Oxob was once a stuntman, who lost his hands when the helicopter he intended to jump from crashed.

Here’s my speculation of what Oxob represents and Gildedguy represents:
At 1:39 we see Gildedguy studying his wounds. Notice how his wounds are open.
Also notice how at 1:40 Oxob notices this and at 1:43 Oxob offers Gildedguy bandages. Oxob uses a method of repression to heal. He uses bandages to hide the wounds and in this case he offers the same treatment literally to Gildedguy
Gildedguy of course isn’t used to this, and turns his back to Oxob and this causes Oxob to show his huger scars.
Now it becomes a thing of pride. Oxob believes he’s in a higher authority to know how to heal because he has scars WAY bigger than Gildedguy. (As shown at 2:05)
Now Gildedguy is upset, throwing the bandage away out of anger because he believes that Oxob doesn’t know any better than he does.
A glimpse of his past, the actual symbolic meaning behind the bandages: _what he’s trying to cover up_
Now of course, Oxob aims for Gildedguy’s cape at 2:20. Now this is a bit speculative, but I believe the cape is representing the Green eyed cowboy. The green eyed cowboy is a representation of all of Gildedguy’s desires, and even his faults. Greed, lust, and *pride*
Gilded guy’s cape, the one this that is consistent between the gilded guy knight and Green eyed cowboy designs, is burnt. This is Oxob sort of saying “You are not as above this as you think!”
...And then the fight begins.
Amazing,I read every single word. I like where your coming from with this.

True meaning of limit breakers
Well, is not that like psycological, Bog is, literaly, inside Glided
Rausan Rau
Not really, the Bog blob during the post credit-scene is actually him, or a part of him per say. The Bog in all of the sword reflections are just figments of Gildedguy’s imagination, or rather his trauma.
And this place is a place that heals wounds "this is probably why gg is there" and that's why oxob could walk without brace

Thanks man. I always know there's symbolism behind these animations, but I can never really figure out what it is that easily.
Well said, honestly. You know your stuff.

not only where they wounded but they still went all out at the end no fear holding them back it was amazing to see what the story has come to the growth of each of them.
there is a huge amount of symbolism packed into this as well!
Basically the plot:
Gildedguy: you don’t understand my pain
Oxob: no, you don’t understand MY pain
Gildedguy: fite meh irl bro
Oxob: OK BRO
Epik fite scene
Oxob: we totally relate bro
Gildedguy: bro...

How could it not do anything?”
Guildedguy would have then looked at him crossing his arms or something, making a manly expression, and say something like “You are probably wondering why your attack did nothing to me? Well.”
It would then cut to Guildedguy rushing towards him with a speed lines background and say something like “Your Denka Lightning Punch is useless, because my armor is made with the rare Ahokutu Ore which absorbs electricity! You are powerless against me! And now witness as I use the ancient Katakata Sword Technique on you!”
It would then cut to Oxob again with a surprised face and he’d internal monologue like “The ancient Katakata Sword Technique? I never knew it was real! If he knows that technique, I won’t be able to dodge this!”
It would then show a few seconds of Oxob being repeatedly slashed by Guidedguy and then it would cut to Guidedguy with a manly expression bragging about his armor and power level and all that jazz that generic anime characters brag about. Maybe saying something also like “Your training could never have prepared you for an opponent like me, so I suggest you give up, I have already won.”
Then Oxob would be like “You may think you have won, but I noticed your weakness. Your armor covers everything but your hands! Your hands should be wide-open for my attack!”
It would then show a close-up of Guidedguy with a surprised face and he’s internal monologue like “What? How did he know?”
Then Oxob would be like “Yes!
That’s why this is good!
i wish this was pinned, this is actually fuckng gold.
@@iinkstain THANK YOU!
Basement busk was just him trying to get money to fix his armor(though it was broken in previous story due to having no manners.
honestly not all of them have been super meaningful(still an incredible work either way, but not all of them hold emotional weight):
story #1 is literally an argument about bacon doneness turned into a fight. important, certainly, but not really emotionally weighted.
story #2 is about Gildedguy eating too many snacks at a party and then fighting the person who set up said party because of it.
story #3 isn't a fight at all, and is just Gildedguy trying to make money for armor repairs at a music joint.
story #4 has emotional effects, what with the possession and mental habitation, but the reason it started is that Bog is an asshole.
story #5 and #6 I agree with you though, there's a lot of gravitas and emotion behind them both, and it's awesome.

Yeah, it's a great (and refreshing!) touch that both characters get their big moments of triumph. Looks _sick_ , too.
Masterful job gildedguy!
not a word spoken! One of the best forms of storyteling honestly
Also when he puts the gloves on at 5:47, you can see the last impact of Bog leaving him.
To be sincere if a lightning stroke gold, it would melt on the spot.
You do understand that gold is one of the best conductors of electricity, right?

Is it at 6:33?
Butterboy 😂😂🤣

And he was smiling at 6:50
Bruh
So they do.
Sniff...hell yeah man
*snort*
Oofyeet
This really makes me think of the old trope where two characters who have trauma are able to understand each other by fighting. The flip at 6:13 where oxob can see that gildedguy is fighting through his pain and from that point on the fight isn't out of anger but respect from one to another. Absolute god tier animation.
I agree
That part untell the end of the battle was beauteful, sad, and awesome
I just Notice that Oxob Nodded on that part
No its because bog got inside in story 4
i also agree.I love how gildedguy tells story and expresses feeling through the action but not words. (GOD TIER ANIMATION)
I thought it was weird at first with no fight sound effects but the soundtrack actually has so much emotion in it, and tells a story off that alone. I actually get goosebumps when Gildedguy does the first whirlwind slash and the soundtrack drops
I just discovered all of this because his coconut video randomly appeared in my recommendations.
welcome newcomer
pfffft...heheheheheheh...
Well thank youtube
Ah yes that one
Worth it
6:13 It took a few re-watches to catch this little nod they both share.
This fight ended up being a cathartic release for both of them, which is a good thing it was mutual in the end.
At 6:03 (for gildedguy) and 6:23 (for oxob) both assume the same pose before they overcame their pain
Thanks for the clarification
It's not anymore a stupid fight, it's about will...
You were one of the twitch viewers? So you must be ready for story 30 then! ;)
How battle starts with GG
GG vs Fry:
GG: "You BURNED the bacon"
GG vs Jade:
Jade: "Every food is only served ONE per guests"
GG vs Bog:
Bog: "Imma end this man's whole night"
GG vs Oxob:
Oxob: " You don't understand my PAIN"
GG : WE DONT HAVE TO FIGHT-
Oxob : yeah no.

GG vs Oxob
GG: “Hurt from the bog encounter.”
Oxob: “My pain is far greater than yours!!”
Oxob: *MY PAIN IS FAR GREATER THAN YOURS!!!!*
(heheheh naruto reference)
No actually oxobs trying to fight gildedguy to teach him because when gg burned oxobs bandages oxob found a toxic pride, ya see gg vs oxob is kind of about "move on, man"
Found this on IG. Came to find the entire story. Watched the entire plot up this point. And when i tell you this part made me shed tears.
Nothing short of beautiful
This more dark, more smooth, has more detail, has more story... it’s perfect. I would love to see more of this, as a video or as a comic. Overall, I love this!
SO MUCH TO ENJOY
How GG wins against Jade: Breaking her rules
How GG wins against Oxob: *literally uno reversing him*
He’s fighting against professional killers whom have superpowers, artificially super enhanced, or magic artifacts. He’s got a magic star pen, armor made of coins, and an elasta Sword. He’s winning these battles via Luck, Creativity, and a good amount skill. GG is awesome because he’s more like normal person than the people he fights.

The way gilded narrated his story looked like he is truly progressing through with a great experience fighting legends among legends as he becomes more and more better at handling it
He even has a signature move now.
The rednado
Better yet. He is fucking either tieing with them. OR WINNING
Yea, most fights or in this case..a sparring match, are either used to have fun or to just...relive stress
Ye you can see them just throwing punches while they’re eyes are closed
Fight Therapy: Beat up your problems instead of yourself
Zero Gaming I thought Oxob was just offended and decided to try to beat the shit out of him.
@@gircakes He was offended but when Oxob saw Gilded on pain and want this shayt to be fixed Oxob went back to his senses fought GG without any anger and just pouring his emotions and GG does the same
godlike attention to detail that the electricy does actually track down to the leg every time when oxob attacks gildedguy.
5:46 desde ese momento esta historia se volvió una obra de arte
Buddies
I didn't really catch that the first time, but yea, seems like you're right! I really appreciated this
also if u look carefully at 6:47 you can see oxob smiling
5:52 the borg stuff is coming out of his helmet.

@@tophatcat1173 yes

Oxob does take massive Ls tho
Couldn't agree more. And the tears that run down Oxob's face, mixing in with the rain, as he just cries out before striking at Gilded just chilled me. Awesome moment.
Omg I missed that is was so quick and now that you pointed it out I had a good cry about how beautiful this is and how powerful this animation explains it story holy hell this animation is pure perfection
I love this comment
Something that I just realized after rewatching and listening to this for years
In 3:24, if you pause and look at the frames before Gildedguy starts to spin, you can see Gildedguy’s shock or fear in his eyes, as if he’s staring into the reflection of Bog in his sword. That’s some good attention to detail.👍
TLDR; lines around his eyes appear when he reenacts a move he did in Story #4, and goes away after doing a different attack.
You’re right, that’s a pretty good detail, but how did u even notice that it there for a fraction of a second 😅
"Learn from your past and embrace it. Don't be afraid of it."
That's the message I got out this.
I feel the same as you, and yes the music is a slight problem.
It really fit at the end tho, after the punch barrage to the end, the song really fit the wholesome fight of basicaly two guys getting over their pain, the ecstasy of fight, and utter respect for each other.
It's not cheery, it's triumphant. Nuff said.
Gildedguy vs Oxob was a close fight
Oxob had the advantage in the first round for his shear skill, speed, and experience as seen from multiple RHG duels in the past allowing him to increasingly attack Gildedguy with ease and evade the spinning sword attack Gildedguy used against Bog. This is despite Oxob having previous injuries from his accident from the boulders, his fight with jade, and his legs being badly hurt from another fight just moments before his encounter with Gildedguy
What Oxob didn’t take into account was Gildedguy’s Gold Armor which was one of Gildedguy’s strongest advantages in this battle. Gold is a good conductor of electricity which means Gildedguy could either repel or reflect Oxob’s electricity against him. This is a problem for Oxob because his electric charge give him that extra “uumff” to his punches as seen from his previous fights. Gildedguy has shown to have good quick thinking and naturally high endurance both physically and mentally as seen from his fights before hand which gives Gildedguy another advantage
A big turning point in this battle was Gildedguy using his pen to redirect the lightning into Oxob which greatly impacted Oxob and overheated his electric hands and leg enhancements.
Had Gildedguy not wore his armour, this match would’ve ended WAY different and sooner
Edit: Just saying that Oxob was the better fighter, but Gildedguy was smarter and had more advantages before the fight
Don't know about willpower but yeah, I agree! It was a damn close one, and his armor totally clinched it.
Connor Johnson I heard some people called it “shine” but I’m not too sure about it
Next tiiiime on death battle!

Green-Eyed Cowboy (Country)
Oxob (EDM)

Word from the heart that is
That moment when you realized that this is called "Full Animated Fight" instead of the usual "Animated Music Video". I feel as if GildedGuy is gonna do something similar to Oxob's fight in future battles, as now GG's gonna start fighting other stickmen in the arena. So, similarly to how Oxob's song was "Electric", the other songs will be in relation to the opponent.
Wew i didnt notice that, but i think this song is not epic but okayy
If GG makes a fight like this with umbrella, Shadow rose, Yupia or Naberius I will literally sh** my pants XD
Hard metal for a heavy armored guy and rock for someone with earth powers
Happy Guy ooh
I think that’s just what he will be calling these fights and stuff like the green eyed cowboy or when he meets penny will be the “animated music video” as it is a video and less of a fight
Fun detail I haven’t seen talked about is how the song changes throughout the fight
When Oxob is attacking the music has a more electronic sound to it which fits for obvious reasons
But when GildedGuy is attacking it switches to Pop/Retro which just seems to fit him.
Goddam you have the ears of a musician (or anything that has something to do with music)
@@DatHypnoboi Another thing to note that after Oxob knocks GG back a bit after taking his sword away from GG, he tends to have a flashback to when he lost his hands the first time since GG's pose there has a similar look to Oxob in his past.
And when they both fight it sounds like k pop but a little techie
@@jameskue4834 Well, it's a mix of both I think.
Goes to show how this rivalry went back to a friendly competition between the two when GG showed Oxob that he doesn't care about pride and he is, indeed, in pain too.

I mean, hell, it makes sense after all the stuff he's been through. He's been dancing on the edge of death after all.
I mean... He's a Slush Fighter isn't he?
Thats the thing, after fighting so many characters more powerfulls than he, he become a better fighter, i understand this fight was quite brutal and less mental, but I think thats becouse both characters had things in their minds that both wanted to take off. This was a discharge, not a duel.
@@bropil7545 Yes!!! Discharge indeed XD!
I think it's partly due to the green eyes cowboy look at 6:46
6:15 I believe that GG gave that nod to Oxob as if to tell him that he's ready for him and to not give up yet.
Exactly! Because oxob lost his love for fighting. This fight wasn't against each other. It was against themselves. It's so beautiful

In short, they have acknowledged each others pain and respect one another
Sheesh, guildedguy just won a fist fight against someone that could dent a tank with a punch
Well to be fair he was crippled
In other words, Gildedguy has beaten up a crippled.
