After flying JAL domestic first class from Sapporo to Tokyo, I traveled in style on Japan Airlines B777-300/ER in First Class from Tokyo to San Francisco. I also reviewed Japan Airlines First Class lounge in Tokyo Haneda with surprises!

I’m a flight attendant for a us airline. But Japan air does food soooo elegantly.. I was impressed by how they do things to such perfection
I prefer Turkish Airlines meals.. They re best.. Also for travel Turkey best..

If you do a long-haul flight on Spirit Airlines, you have to ask for the Waffle House on Wings Menu, it is well worth it. Each long-haul flight has a full compliment of Waffle House dishes a la carte available, but you must insist. Along to prepare your meal is a Waffle House Chef, guaranteed to be on parole, having no more than five teeth, a vulgar jailhouse tattoo and a Marlboro stuck to his lower lip. All the food is served on official Waffle House china by samori-size waiters and waitresses three days past a good bath, breath reeking of cheap gin with a conversational banter that will make a sailor blush. Last but not least, if you value your safety, it's best to leave a generous cash tip with a portion designated to go to the chef!

I’ve flown JAL twice round trip from San Diego to Tokyo Narita and it was an amazing flight experience. Very excellent service and detail. Roomy and clean. Staff was very friendly and kind. Loved the food!
I love JAL even in economy (especially the 2-4-2 on the 787). A truly wonderful airline with incredible crews.
The japanese seem to do everything better and so effortlessly.
Definitely an airline I want to try.

Sam, I like your fashion in describing the first class experience. Not showy, no bragging like others do often. What sets you apart from others is that you care about each employee whom you encounter in your aviation journey. You ask for their name and where they came from, and you appreciate each and every action they display. Not too many first class flyers can do that. Thank you.

I chose my flight nowadays based on your review of airlines. Really nice to have you making all these great videos, back in the old days, i was so frustrated to choose airlines because their business and first class rates difference are huge and some are crappy,it was like gambling. Now, it is so easy, just watch all your videos hah
I could spend all day in the first class lounge, just looking at the museum pieces, plane spotting & the food & drink. I must say guys that’s the best airport-lounge I’ve seen. Plus the Beef Cheek on board looked amazing! Sam you were treated like royalty! 👍 to JAL!

Why should Americans be polite when they have a president who is rude, crude and socially unacceptable to everyone except murderous dictators. I've always heard of the "Ugly Americans," but they are now the laughingstock of the planet. Many think it's best to give up on representing the country as polite and friendly since adhering to basic human rights, treating all with dignity and respect along with ending the objectification of women has been abandoned from the highest office in the land on down. I'm glad I renounced my citizenship and moved to New Mexico.

It's such irony that so many people remark on how much better Japan is but cry when our president trys to create policy that isn't even 1/4 as strict as Japans.

Having never flown Japan Airlines all the reviews seem to have a common element! Smiling and lovely staff...excellent seating either in Business or First and delicious food. I must get one of their toilets installed at home! I also really enjoyed the history part of JAL in the lounge...typically everything still works! And what about the goodies at the end....great customer service!

French champagne, menu with at least 3 french words, french butter, eiffel tower on caviar crackers…..Pretty proud to see french gastronomy in every Airlines first class :-) I love your vids. Cheers from South of France and Bon appétit

The crew also bows when they enter the terminal. Also the ground crew will bow upon pushback.
Bowing like that is a custom in Japan. They do it because it's the norm, not necessarily out of politeness.
The thing that impresses me the most is the airport lounge. It would be amazing if all the airport had a small museum representing or illustrating the evolution of the national airplane and the evolution of the airport too.
JAL's first class service are very comfortable and crew were friendly!!!

The Japanese crew were incredible in coach when I flew. I can hardly imagine what it must be like in First Class. That kind of money I do NOT have.
The butter you were served, beurre Bordier (shown at around 6:50) is a very fine and artisan butter from France, made in Saint-Malo. It is served in the best restaurants in France. Good choice JAL!

I flew in a JAL economy flight to Osaka and it was a wonderful experience. JALs service and hospitality reflect Japan as a country perfectly.
We’ve been on this flight, in both directions, in business class, using both Alaska points and American Airlines points. We’ll be using American points in April in first class and it looks great. We’re saving Alaska points to use for a flight to Asia that includes a stopover, as Alaska allows a free stopover on even one way award tickets.
JAL is an excellent airline. I also like the fact that a Tokyo layover means that flights to Asia are broken up into more manageable segments.

Flew economy with JAL from Sydney to Tokyo. Never been so spoilt by flight attendants as I was on JAL. Can't imagine first class. Even at check in the girl checking me in came out from behind the counter to put my bag on the scales,and I'm not even an old guy.

Awesome vdeo! I had a similarly great experience on several airlines in Business Class. I haven't yet travelled First on JAL, but watching your video reminded me of the really GREAT experience I had on a long haul from HNL-TPE, TPE-HNL, Kansai/Osaka-HNL, etc. Since my homebase is Honolulu (HNL), all my trips are long hauls. I hated travelling until I finally did business class. Love your flight videos man!

I traveled by Business Class JAL from Canada to K.L.Malaysia a few yrs. ago. Price was affordable although I used $$ instead of any Air Miles. It was worth the money & with free room & dinner & breakfast given in Narita Hotel during the stopover it was a great experience. Now I can't travel on Economy seats. Only way is keep checking for a good price & jump on it. We got JAL points but not enough to fly. It was almost like 1st.class.
Their catering service is totally amazing, the food was perfectly made and beautifully decorated
I love the generocity of Japanese people. They are very nice .
Doesn't matter what class you fly. Take one 50mg benadryl before your flight. Will knock you out for a good 12 hours. its like a time machine, you'll fast forward just a few minutes before you land.

Japan does not have to be that pricey. Scouting for flights early ahead, or booking last -minute flights saves you a great deal on the travelbit. As for accommodation in Japan, there are several cheap options like capsule hotels or business hotels. No need to spend a lot of money on hotel rooms in Japan, as you´ll be outdoors most of the time. For food there are lots of great options, Izakayas or other small and unknown restaurants always have excellent food, for next to nothing in cost. Wish you and your fiance good luck, and hope you decide to travel to Japan. It really is an astonishing country to visit
@@henrikbruvik4391 You forgot where she mentioned she wants to visit for her honeymoon. I don't know about you, but most people wouldn't want to stay in a capsule hotel or other cheap accommodations for theirs. It's supposed to be their trip of a lifetime.

Sam I know your an aviation channel but if your ever in a first class cruise ship or something plz make a video on it. Ships and airplanes do go together well and on a ship you can show a video showing a luxury trip lasting for days, first class ships and airplanes, oh also there is a new luxury AIRSHIP that will have luxury rooms and everything, it will be a ship in the sky, journey lasts a few days I believe for a nice trip in the sky to different countries, spending days in the air on these new airships would be really cool to see. They are actually real and coming soon if you search them up, certain company’s are doing it.
