I have a question. I saw that when you make the comp size 3840x2160, is this only for making 4K video ? or is it intended to make the map quality smooth when I reduce it to half the size ? hmm (sorry for my poor english)
By the way the font they use in Atlas series is 'Liberator'

Quick thought, but I don't see a maptiler attribution in the Vox original. I'm thinking they used another method to make their map. maybe a vector map imported from illustrator?

Hey Nick. So I'm not sure about Resolve/Fusion tools. This is very much a very specific tool for After Effects. That would be interesting to see what is available on the Blackmagic side.

I just used up the trial period of Geolayer. Any chance to get extra time without paying for the whole deal?
I have the Trial version of Geolayers 3 but it doesn't seem to have the GEOlayers tab unless I am missing something.

How come the vox version doesn’t have the “maptiler c” attribution on the left lower corner? How can i remove it? Appreciate it

1.) Is it possible to make the country borders in the form of dashed, moving lines?
2.) How to make a layer out of country shape (so I can fill it in with a photo or video)?

1) Yes this is very easy with the layer styles.
2) You can easily create a country shape layer and then use it as an Alpha matte.
*You won't need the MapTiler data plan to do either of these tasks.

How do you get those 5 coloured boxes above your map? My version of Geolayers 3 does not come with those. I cannot change the colours of my map.
You have to have the Map Tiler subscription plan. www.maptiler.com/cloud/geolayers/

@@benhames6789 Yeah, I think it could be more clear on the product page. But it does state that you need MapTiler to unlock all of the extra features. In fact, here's all of the features you gain when you get a MapTiler account -
- A data license for your commercial projects
- Stylized Mapcomp Imagery (the styles with the maptiler icon top left)
- Find OpenStreetMap Features by clicking the preview map
- Mapcomp Labels in different languages
- Watermask Mapcomps
- Feature import for the current view
- 3D Building drawing
@@BooneLovesVideo I've had Geolayers for around a month now. And it seems it has lost features during that time. I guess this MapTiler collaboration is a newer thing. I certainly remember being able to change the colours in the app a few weeks ago when I last used the program.
It's disappointing to say the least..

Filmora is for beginners like me but I have fun with it. I’ve been into cartography for many years and I’m currently obsessed with the Hereford map if you’re familiar with that. It’s a medieval map and very fascinating. Anyway keep up the great work.
