  • Aloe vera plants offer a storehouse of health benefits and I'm going to show you the steps for extracting gel from aloe plants at home! It couldn't be either and it's quite fun! Let's save some money on aloe vera gel!
The first step is to cut or peel off the skin of the aloe vera leaves. ( Make sure to select a plump and succulent leaf and cut it away from the plant's outer leaves).
Peel the outer skin of the leaf with a sharp knife and stand the leaf upright so that the yellow, latex sap drains out. Make sure to get all the yellow sap out of the aloe vera gel especially if you plan to drink it.
The aloe vera gel can be cut into strips and further cut into small chunks that fit in an ice tray. Freezing the aloe vera gel is the best way to preserve nutrients. You can also store the homemade aloe vera gel in the refrigerator for up to a week.

This is a wonderful plant. I have never had luck growing one. I slowly kill cacti. Over watering is a bad habit.

Thank you for watching and commenting Fannie. It’s true that overwatering it is bad habit. That is the number one reason plants die
