Right after the series ended i sat for a second. The win reminds me of when LeBron went nuts on Detroit all those years ago back when they were going crazy. Examples: Nash, AI, Wade, D. Rose. Most PGs were usually shorter and some still are, like CP (6’0) who just took that L to the Mavs with Luka. We could study why there’s less of a shorter player presence in the NBA but I won’t. Of course being taller in the NBA is versatile. A 6’7 heavy Luka is just able to body shorter Point Guards. Plus, I don’t think the NBA has the most athletically strong and dedicated players as during the early 2000’s with Nash and before that with Kobe. The type of athleticism Jordan had was insane! Nowadays players are just falling all over the court and injuring themselves left and right. Luka is definitely a star player in todays time, considering that he’s chosen primarily for a shot or always ends up with the ball as a point guard, he’s given an unlimited opportunity to be “that guy”. MJ & Kobe or even Lebron would IMO be miles sky high ahead of Luka if they were matched up with shorter skinnier dudes with less athleticism and had an unlimited chance to work on setting up a play. Nowadays players are just falling all over the court and injuring themselves left and right. Luka is definitely a star player in todays time, considering that he’s chosen primarily for a shot or always ends up with the ball as a point guard, he’s given an unlimited opportunity to be “that guy”. MJ & Kobe or even Lebron would IMO be miles sky high ahead of Luka if they were matched up with shorter skinnier dudes with less athleticism and had an unlimited chance to work on setting up a play. I just think the franchises and the heads of the NBA know this and they almost want us to think that bigness = skill. Giannis last year, Luka this year. 🤔

I'd honestly say Luka is the next Larry Bird. Doesn't quite have the two way dominance and Athleticism of MJ but has the deep bag, fades, jumpshots, post moves, playmaking, rebounding, and trash talking of Larry Legend. I also don't know if he will be a top 3 player ever but I think he can be a top 10 player ever, like Larry. Larry's defense also wasn't quite up to par with MJ's as well so Luka gets leeway there as well
Im not even comparing him to Larry because he's white, there's literally similarities all across the board from the way they play down to their attitude. Now Luka still needs to prove himself in terms of MVPs, Championships etc, but if we are comparing him to a legend, Larry is the guy
