Loved it. 2024 launch needed. 2025 will be too late for Renault India
I wonder if the brand survives till then in india
yes, the EV era will be ruling by that time
indians are now waiting for launch of 5 door Mahindra Thar , 2 wheel & 4 wheel versions.
Yes Renault India can't survive on kiger and triber for 2 years. Same for Nissan 😑
Honestly EVs are overexpensive if your running is less. Same goes for Thar, good product but not for everyone
Love the design !!.I seriously miss conventional headlamp design, I don't where the Indian Automakers got the idea of making DRLs and Headlamps in place of Fog Lamps a new standard. It's okay with some SUVs, but for all of them is absurd.
Indian consumers don't go for logic anymore.
-DRLs were introduced and mandated in 1977 in Sweden and soon adopted by other northern latitude countries as the daytime visibilty during winter months was too low.
Apart from a few Himalayan snowy regions, the DRLs don't serve any practical purpose.
-White headlamps were made trendy by Luxurious brands.
White lights have less range and cause visibility issues during rain and foggy weather conditions.
white/blue lights dissipate more due to shorter wavelength.
For the same reason, red light for hazard signal/brake lights etc. is used due to longer wavelength, orage for indicators and yellow for lights and foglamps is recommended
-Fog lamps with white light is sheer stupidity as they defeat the very purpose of fog lamps
-Lastly sunroof in hot and humid Indian weather conditions is absurd (maybe around hilly regions, it is fun to have)
The list of such wasteful feature is now never ending and Indian consumers are even willing to pay extra for these features.
While brands are enjoying these trends as they can juice up more from the same average product with smaller engines.
DRL and lowered headlamps are becoming standard worldwide, not only in India.
you could have mentioned this as a comment instead of a reply. This info is hidden under the view replies button. @@theBartSimpson
@@thecerebrum. I know bro!
But I started writing it as a reply specifically to the DRL discussion and then got carried away with further info. 🙈😅
i dunno bro i think all of the indian ones look good, some western ones are awful tho
Ecosport and Duster in a way are very similar. These two were the segments first, then the segment leader for a long time and then the biggest looser simply because of the brand's inability or simply unwillingness to adapt to the Indian market
but Duster will not do Ford mistakes. This duster is killer...
@@DilbagKoundalITnot without a diesel engine. Mark my words.
@@genichiroashina6372couldn't agree more
It's not inability to adapt Indian market. What feature u need more in ecosport 3 yrs back when it was discontinued. Figo was selling average, ecosport was selling very good, Ford endeavour had a cult following all products were good and under budget also. I was about to take 6speed automatic second top version in 12lakhs, it is governments hard rules for these foreign manufacturers which made them go. In a way good for Indian manufacturers Tata flourished. But don't say they didn't make changes to Indian market. Even their service was low cost and at best. Look at Toyota now even with best selling Innova and fortuner with best in class service there were talks they may exit India but may not happen.
@@DilbagKoundalITwhat mistake Ford did?
Og compact suv is back in the game 🔥🔥🔥 sure give tough competition to the current compact suv cars in India
I don't think it's a compact SUV. Rather a crossover SUV as it's more than 4m long...🤷
@@PureRythm yeah sure but compact suv segment was popular in India only because of duster
@@nirbhaypratap511 not really. The Compact SUV segment was started by the Ford EcoSport and was made famous by TATA Nexon...
This is not compact suv its mid-size suv...
@@PureRythmtata Nexon hatchback hai lol don't drag here
It will succeed in India if launched next year first quarter or around that timeline. In 2025, it's going to have a hell lot of competition with so many hybrid options.
Poor country, not launching
@@BanGame123ok 🤡
What are the other upcoming hybrids ?
@@BanGame123ok troll now go back to your master's basement
@@vm-my6hg as of now you can see Suzuki and Toyota transiting to hybrid cars in their entire inventory. Honda is also doing the same and Hyundai/Kia are expected to do the same from 2025 onwards. So it's not about any specific model, it's about entire segment
Still proudly own the 2013 Duster 85 ps RXZ, with almost 398000 kms done and still counting wothout engine overhaul, and it has still got more than other 10 years of life left only the interior getting a bit outdated now. Still can avoid interior for such a tremendous engine and driveability.
What about the 10/15 year shelf life of cars as per government laws?
What's the biggest failure point of this car? The one which you have had to replace often.
@@parthmistry9033 Sir, am in Gujarat so no 10/15 rule applicable and now there is a emissions test to be done at 15th year and if it passes it extend to next 5 years. So, it is good to have diesels in Gujarat.
oh my it looks simply stunning 😍💖
Finally a real suv in a world of raised hatches and crossover the boss is coming back
🔥
I own a duster diesel 110. Love It!
Old duster is a uniqueness . . . Which is real rugged on tat stage . . . . ❤
There is always a type of people like you, Who just stuck in history.
Then buy the old one
@@richarddragon9108so what
One of major advantages duster enjoyed at that time was it's pricing so 20 lakh is most probably going to be a miss.
hyrider is a better option at that price right?
Duster could teach the current crop of SUV a thing or two about style and design of an SUV...always the OG
The logo of DC reminds me of Dilip chaabaria Designs 😅😅😅😅
Germans and french automobile companies never took indian market seriously specially in below 30 lakh segment
Has very similar design cues to the upcoming Land Cruiser. Love it!
Once upon a time a KING ruled indian roads.....
D U S T E R 🔥
This will come in India but in 2050😂😂
Next year
Big daddy of the compact suv's! Looks gorgeous in the new avatar ❤ wish they launch it sooner.
Are those headlights pickup from volvo xc ?
Well, this is seriously bring the success Renault has been missing for sometime...bring it Renault bring it as soon as possible.
Looks great. I hope it gives tough competition to Creta and Seltos.
I think new Duster should include Panoramic Sunroof, Ventilated seats, ADAS features, because the people in that category looks for features and a TV more than the car itself.
But for enthusiasts like me, just offer a 1.6L or 1.5L Turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5L diesel engine.
That 1.3 Turbo featured in the old duster and the Kicks was really good too.
The international version doesn't get sunroof. Sadly thats all our shallow market cares about and instead may choose some tincan Hyundai because of its "features", and all good brands will leave.
Bro Seltos comes with 160BHP engine , even Creta will have the same these cars are seriously fast , Hybrid won't be able to touch , so if you are an enthusiast looking for performance then these are the vehicles , relaxed driving with fuel efficiency then these Hybrids !
India will get a 170HP turbo
Why turbo, they even don't have a proper 1.5 NA which produces a decent 115hp, actually that's a trump card too. The whole market has a 1.5 NA
You had me at 4-wheel drive. What a stunner!
Thats so futuristic
Ride quality is next level 🔥
Duster was the OG mini-suv. Its heartening to see it back in the game!
i have only been living in india for the past 2 years so i am a bit unfamiliar with the duster and terrano but considering the hype and all isnt the engine displacement a bit small for a suv this big? its like using the yaris engine on a prado, do correct me if im wrong about the engine being too small
Earlier Duster used to be 8-14 lakhs which was affordable for lower and upper middle class. If Duster is going to cost 20lakhs plus and launch is in 2025 then it will fail because other brands would have upgraded their line up and have overlapping products.
Cars which were 10 lakhs then is 20 lakhs now....u need to update
All its competitors have become pricier & sit between the 15-21 lac rupee range, so it is unlikely that the duster won't do well
@@navinbpalathingalPeople will not pay 20lakhs for a Renault car that is outdated and lacks features by the time it gets launched. Inflation is a real thing, even Celerio costs 7-9lakhs onroad now. It was the aam junta who could afford cars like Duster and 1st gen Innova earlier and they will move to cheaper options.
@@djjoey799 people are spending 20 lakhs for kia, tata, mahinda and hyundai!!Time has changed.. its not 2010
@@navinbpalathingal 💯 Agreed
Other than the kindergarten backlight design & the black tape band aids on the outer front doors, the rest esp the front looks nice. Duster's engine, reliability, affordability and comfort in India is legendary.
I have driven the Dacia duster quite a lot in Europe, It dominates the roads in many countries such as Iceland and more. Such a sturdy car, dont know why Renault dropped the ball so hard in India. Waiting for it to come back to Indian market soon
OMG😮....... jabarjast... shandar....jandar.... fight is back.
The OG King is back 🎉
Thank god, no sunroof
I was excited until I heard 2025 launch . Turbo petrol with mild / strong hybrid is welcome . But bit of confusion still lies , is it going to have proper 4*4 or just AWD ?
They will offer awd just like they offered in first generation.
It's a monocoque crossover, what else can they offer other than AWD
@@shahan484 true
@@shahan484 In the video they specified 217mm GC for 4*4 variant and even showed text on screen later they were saying AWD . So it confused me
I guess for Indian market they won't launch 4*4 or AWD
Interior looks awesome
Interiors look great
Awesome car.. Waiting for it!!!
One word 'Reliable' after 10 years and still rides like new
Mine 2013 model still best ! Running around 2 lakh km
May i know when this model is going to launch in india..tamil nadu?
Superb update of the car. Packs a punch. Only concern as Nikhil mentioned is that launch is in late 2025 for India.
4*4 in Petrol Engine is awesome. Hope Tata will go back to complete the work which they missed earlier
indians are now waiting for launch of 5 door Mahindra Thar , 2 wheel & 4 wheel versions.
Do you have MONEY to buy it ? No... then why demand ?
Doesn't give mileage, diesel will be better
The compact king is back🔥🔥🔥👏
Good Design after long time,
Hope it is coming soon to India. Looks very nice.
Pricing it around 20L will put it out of reach of many buyers in india.. the reason the og duster was so popular was the price.. a big feel suv starting at 8.5 - 9L was so good!! Hope renault keep this in mind when they launch it here...
20l mein milega kaise pata tujhe ? My guess is it would come at 23lacs+
@@vijaydas7590 video dekh bhai.. usme hi speculate kiya gaya hai!!
Strongly desired vehicle, i would surely get one if launched within 6 months, real rugged suv.👍🏻
I love the shape and designed of it, it stands out very well.
Waiting for new Duster ❤❤❤
Did they discontinued the 1.3L 150 hp engine?
Have you tried Global Dominion Financing Inc. for car financing or car refinancing (Sangla OR/CR)?
Is duster unveiling a base variant or a top variant no sunroof and no surf antena?
Super design and cabin 👍🏻
I think this is the car that might bring renault back on track. I mean this was the car that started the indian suv trend and i think that it deserves a comeback.
Does it get rear disc brakes ?
Great news and it looks gorgeous 🥰😍
is it 5* on NCAP?
It seems a good car.
I was eagerly awaiting for it, I even enquired many times in Renault dealership about its comeback.
But if its getting launched in India in year 2025, it would be too late to be in the game.
And competitive price would define it's success here.
Around ₹20L
Duster 🔥❤
Still have my 2016 RXS Duster, done 190000 KM but still going great. Waiting for the new Duster to replace it. Hope they launch the new one around Diwali 2024.
Looks so good!!!!
make way to the real trend setter...🔥
this is where all started
Only one question when its going to be launch in India ? Atleast a official announcement.
More beautiful than before
That Matte dashboard though 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯.
If this car launches as it is then for me it will be the best looking suv in whole compact suv segment.
It looks premium and futuristic and that Matte interior really made me impatient for this car.
Automotive industry is changing so rapidly that two years look like eternity may be till then only electiric cars make sense 😊
All that plastic on the front and rear bumpers is a bad idea. Those bits get scraped and dented so often in metro cities in India. With plastic those marks or dents (cracks rather) will be permanent unless you replace the whole plastic portion. With metallic parts you can get the dents repaired at any third-party repair shop and even get them repainted at certain workshops for cheaper than what the manufacturer would charge for replacing the plastic bits. I hope Renault reconsiders that option for the India launch.
Agree 💯
It can be solved with sandpaper.
No thanks. I’d rather have those plastic cladding scraped, dented, abused, than let the metal part of my car get damaged.
The OG is backkk.
The outgoing Duster is a great product in terms of practicality and experience. The downsides are the maintenance costs are high and not having broader network
Strong hybrid will be super hit.
Really mind blowing
Great Design need it in 2024
Lovely
The perfect time for an upgrade
Most awaiting this one.....
How about safety rating
Loved the older version of the Duster
Bring it fast .. many are waiting
Definitely gonna save up for this
As a renault kwid owner this pumps me up to buy one
Now that's the car in its segment that I'd like to buy
Beauty 😍 I wonder if this quality will be maintained at India launch
Finally!Wait is over
Why has Renault/Nissan been missing from the Creta segment for so long... As fas as I remember, the Creta segment used to be the Duster Segment a couple years ago...
Will Buy if same comes to India
OG 🔥
I am a proud owner of Duster and waiting for new model. But 2025 is too much, by the it comes out it can not compete with the present market trend and for that price point no way!!
Nice design
why fwd?
I don't understand the delay in launch,
They have a product and with a slightly spruced up dealer and service network,
They should launch it right away.
I hope that Renault doesn't shut it's India operations given the current dismal sales figures
No sunroof???
Finally the dream car is here!
Super hit! If launched today!
2025 November will be Funeral.
Duster has created this new compact SUV segment.. this is definitely going to rock ❤
Will it really come to india
Auto car india took the video from some else youtube channel and do some sound effect and upload in thier channel.
Wow❤❤🎉
Renault should respect the love India gave to duster n launch new duster in India in coming months ... otherwise stop.operating in India
Without the diesel engine?
new buyers are now more watching global ncap rating not only featuers & mileage, generally indian version are always cut down version from foreign to restrict in budget range
Fool's say duster's diesel engine was not refined but true duster lovers know what was that for us
Whenever it used to pass from nearby all other car's systems got hanged
It should be again with that loud roaring diesel engine
Duster is the first car in it's segment who innovated compact suv concept. Now beast is back
