I traveled to Melbourne for a month last year, and it's definitely one of my best memories. I feel fulfilled when I think of that trip. I’m so glad Melbourne is the first trip for me to go abroad! I love Australia!! Huge love from Japan🇦🇺🇯🇵
I stayed for five months in Melbourne four years back where my daughter is settled.Initially I found the city to be too quiet as compared to Indian cities. However I admired the civic sense of the citizens. We were taken to many places and my memory goes back to the Yarra river,Sky Deck on 88th floor,Caribbean market,Noble Park,Clayton, swanky malls, good restaurants etc.Definitely Melbourne is one of the most livable and lovable city.
Thank you for the comment. How wonderful to have spent 5 months in Melbourne! I find Melbourne a very interesting City (yes, very biased too). Sydney is in your face beautiful and interesting and fun. Melbourne - I find (my opinion) - is more graceful, more subtle but with so much diversity and activity. I love your additions for things to do and yes, they're great suggestions. I'm heading back again towards the end of the year (well, I'm hoping the Australian Open Tennis next year, actually). Can't wait.
@traveleaz hey ! I am also looking forward to the Australian Open next year but I haven't found a travel companion yet . And then I have a friend in Sydney who tells me it's not safe . 😢
Thank you very much for your kind comment. I love Sydney - I filmed the video for Sydney but haven’t quite finished it (soon). I hope you get down to Sydney. 🦘
As a Melbourne person, born and bred, thank you for such a wonderful video. You do a great job presenting a plethora of relevant and accurate information. Two minor corrections - the Great Ocean road is on the SW Victorian coast, not SE. And the best Australian Rules football team to support is Essendon, not Richmond.
Thank you for the great comment. Totally right about the location of the great ocean road of course - my mouth did not say what my head was thinking. As for Essendon!! Actually, I think the Dons have the beginnings of a very good team. At least you don’t support the Pies! 🐯
A great summary of Melbourne; thank you! I've found it very helpful and comprehensive as I prepared and am now in MB. One suggestion for the creator, however, is to extend the time allotted to the text boxes so the viewers can more easily absorb this important info you are sharing.
Thank you very much for the comment, I appreciate it. You're right about the text boxes - it's something I thought about. There's a weird balance between too much time and people getting bored (and then moving to a different video) and not enough time. My hope is that if the text is valuable people can pause the video but obviously that's not always practical. I appreciate the comment though and I'll definitely keep it in mind and adjust (heading to Melbourne later this year so may practice in those new videos).
I didn't realize I was doing that! Interesting...on a related note, apparently my old Aussie accent comes back the more beer I consume (sadly, I don't consume enough beer for it to completely come back! )
In no particular order, Carlton Draught, VB, Crown Lager - we did try some different beers when I was there (smaller breweries) but naturally, I forget the names (they were good though!). So much better than the beer here in the US.
@@traveleaz Yeah nice ..as you probably know Carlton Draught is the standard on tap in every pub in Victoria.. and nothing beats a screaming cold fresh one ..Ive tried Budweiser, Coors and Miller .. they're not bad .. Too many beers to choose from these days ( Im getting too old.. 44.. I never thought I would say those words🤣) Anyhoo take care and happy travels if you come back down under ..Cheers ✌️
I LOVE YOU MATE! lol ….. most tourists are told about Sydney or the Great Barrier Reef but often Melbourne isn’t mentioned. Yeah Sydney has the bridge and the opera house and I definitely wouldn’t stop anyone from seeing the Great Barrier Reef (while it’s still Alive), but Melbourne has everything else you could ever want! Thank you for showing my beautiful home town to the rest of the world! Good onya mate 😊
LOVE the comment. Thank you! You're right about Melbourne, it has a certain "depth" that few cities can boast. If you don't love sports, no worries, there are parks, culture, food and coffee. I know I am biased (having been born and partially raised there), but it's the best city in the world. Hope to move back in less than 10 years...
its fantastic ive already visited all this place that you saying i lived there four years ago for seven months because my relatives live there and i left there my heart hope with my heart to back again another time 😎😎😇😇😇😇 bye bye felix
Great video! Really wanna go to Melbourne and try the VRBO hotel. However I cannot find the link on the description. Could please share it again? Thanks in advance
You have a good point! Sydney definitely provides the most immediate and largest dopamine hit of the two. Sydney is over-the-top beautiful and the wow facture is obvious. It's one of my favorites cities ... but Melbourne has a beautifully designed CBD (mostly due to the Hoddle Grid), it has the MCG, footy (yes, Sydney has two teams but Melbourne has 9), the Aussie Open tennis, Formula 1, the Melbourne Cup, better coffee, and so forth. Both cities are world class and at the end of the day you cannot lose chosing which one is best - but I would rather live in Melbourne. My Sydney video should be out soon...thanks for the comment, a good one.
Noooooo! Are you from Sydney? In any event opinions are just subjective thoughts and some may not like Melbourne and that’s okay. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you for the message. Lucky you, spending a month in Melbourne. I have never been to Japan and I cannot wait to visit (my son LOVES Japan!).
I traveled in January 24. Definitely one of the best cities in the world.. Very beautiful indeed..
Thank you for the comment. I cannot wait to get back - heading back in 4 months!
This is the best video summarising all attractions in Melbourne, a perfect guide. Great job mate!
That is so nice, thank you. I really appreciate it. I'm heading back in March - cannot wait!
@traveleaz we might be there by March, let's meet for a coffee mate!
Going to Melbourne next month can't wait 😊Go the Tigers 🐯🐅😊
Tigers fan!!!! YES! Have a blast and I hope you get to see the Tiges (seemingly we're rebuilding but we'll be back!). Go Tiges! 🐯🐅
Melbourne looks like an amazing city to see!! I didn't know Australia has such a big coffee culture!
The best City - and lots of great coffee everywhere.
If it's not quality coffee in Melbourne , they'd never be able to sell it.
True!
Love that you pronounced Melbourne correctly.
Hey, thanks. Yes, it's annoying when people don't pronounce it correctly.
Very great pronunciation, very polished, and interesting explanations. I cannot wait to visit Melbourne.
Thank you very much. I hope you get to Melbourne! I'm heading back next year and cannot wait.
Thank you so much for the great video
